Anyone else got the Google Music Beta? - EVO 4G General

i just got the email and installed it and not impressed so far. everything is old music, its pretty useless to me unless im not using it right.

Yeah, I do as well. Thing is, you use your own music ... so the music should be the least of your problems. Unless I'm reading this wrong.
If anything the UI could be revamped. No real complaints from me.

Uhhhhh.... you upload YOUR OWN music.
Why do we even need ANOTHER music purchasing service?
20,000 songs of my own choice, no matter the size or length, streamed anywhere-- hell yes!

Ah, you mean some of the 'included' tracks? I hear ya. I have some baffling **** that was somehow included / suggested and added.
Point is it is mainly a music locker. Upload your own ish. Not much else to it than that. I'm digging it though, apart from the time it takes to upload sizeable chunks of music.

Dude. There are plenty of options. I have never had an issue with downloading tunes and crashing computers ... Limewire? Is that that ish people used back in the day for weak a** porn? And I don't mean 'a** porn,' but ....
I buy a lot of music, I also jack a lot (stop it!) of music as well. I don't see why you couldn't, somehow, get the music you want on there.

Yup back in the day lol. Limewire is the most popular music downloading program. They will be back, they always do. this like 5th time i remember them being ceased

I hope i get my invite soon. But i need some help guys.......
I have a bunch of music and full albums but some how the details/tagging like track #,artist, and genre got messed up and im looking for a simple easy tagging app to fix it. Does anyone have one they use or know of?

I'm sure there are some formidable, if not better options. I haven't heard a mention of Limewire for what seems like years. So long as you get it done, I suppose.
That's why I like the idea of this so far; just put your music up and it is available all over. Was already using different means to achieve as much, and so this has definitely sufficed so far.
Can't wait to see final call. Cost, etc. I don't personally need a music purchase service, but I don't speak for the masses either.

Is there a Hulu app? I was trying to go to their webpage but it told me the mobile view is not enabled or something to that extend.
I think there is but I'm Not talking about hulu and I believe revealing the name of the site is against the rules here but lets just say I was getting beautiful buffering pretty much flawless really on a two hour movie the phone had to catch up twice and that only took litetally 5 seconds and I was back to watching perfect sink between video and audio I look at this phone like I look at laptops capable of so much awesomeness if given the right hardware and software

If any lag it's going to be on the carrier side of it. [Say, when you use 2GB the first two days on Tmobile and go to Edge speeds or the same with Verizon]
Not the server side.
Depending, obviously, but was more of a joke than anything. I'm pretty pumped for this though. I know some people are going to be bummed about it being a personal music locker essentially - for the forseeable future - but being able to put up a ton of music is what I really want.

FYI, just found this on Gizmodo:
http://ca.gizmodo.com/5800490/google-will-remove-your-music-from-its-cloud-if-it-infringes-on-copyrights
Via: Gizmodo
Word from Google IO is that Google Music will delete user MP3s, if the copyright holder has a legitimate claim against their music being on the server. And it will use the same backend tech to do so as YouTube.
For end users, this means that album/song leaks and pirated music will not be tolerated. And though it seems like it will be difficult to distinguish what's pirated and what's not, Google will probably use that same analysis tech they use for playlists to verify you have the right to upload that track to Google Music (spectral analysis and/or watermarks could expose rips from different sources). And that means if you've happened to download a leak or any unauthorized rip from the internet, then uploaded it to Google Music, it could be taken down.
And not that Google is wrong for doing so, but that will kill the appeal of Google Music for some people out there. [Google IO]

I don't own a Xoom but my brother does. A quick trick to get a fast invite was just to log into my Google account on his xoom and download an app from the market. That way it registered as me being a Xoom user So, just find xomeone that has a Xoom, log into your Google account for a minute on their Xoom, download some random app on the market and remote your Google account for their Xoom works like a charm. Three other friends have used my brother's Xoom to get a quick invite to the service.
