That's what I considered as well, but I asked them to check their computers. After they "checked" they transferred me to another Best Buy saying "maybe they'll know".

I pre-ordered the 32gb metallic grey one from the BB in Waldorf, MD back on the 9th.
I got sent from the cell phone section to the computer section and back a few times before someone figured out what to do but yeah...they finally got me in there. They tried to check to see what models they'd have in stock and nothing showed up anywhere so yeah... I'm really hoping when I go in Friday to pick mine up that they actually have it, otherwise I'll be trying to find some place that does.
Got passed around from customer service to mobile to computers to the website trying to preorder with no luck. I was told I could do the preorder online and pick it up launch day at the store instead of having it shipped. Web site told me to screw myself and only get it shipped to my house for extra $... After all that I talked to the manager. I gave the SKU to the her to look up delivery times. There is 0 for the entire state of Washington for the foreseeable future.
The website now lists 6/17-6/24 as the arrival time.
Getting pissed.
Went to 2 Best Buy stores in NY and the employees actually new about the Tab and confirmed Friday as the release date.

I'm going to Virginia Beach Friday so I was trying to get my tablet 10am when BB opens so I can use it on the ride down. Now I'm not even sure if that'll happen, great! But it seems not many people are pre-ordering or are even aware of this tablet coming out so odds are, you can probably go into any BB and get one, if they receive any. I may just do that I'm in Virginia Beach.
My local store already had the cases in stock (at least the folio) so I'm fairly confident they will have them Friday. They also said that there is some special display that is being set up for them on Sunday so definitely by then. I preordered so the thing better be there Friday. Haha.
I can assure you that the your local Best Buy will have them in stock Friday. If you haven't pre-ordered (tell the associate to pull the form from ETK) make sure you get there about 15mins prior to open or even earlier for your best chance of getting one.

I am not sure if there will be shortage of supply, but BB still had plenty of white 16GB's at NYC Union Sq location, and according to the sales associates there it's been selling like cupcakes.
When I was there to get mine a couple asked about it thinking it was an iPad2, and ended up buying the GT!

yes bestbuy didnt seem to know what they were talking about when i called. I decided to drive the 2 hrs to new york best buy to pick one up early
strangely after only having the tablets since the 8th they had quite a few oben box tabs which im not sure is a good sign but i was able to save 50 dollars and youd never know it was a return still had the factory plastic all over almost like whoever bought it returned it without even giving it a try
FYI...best buy in pentagon city has about 20 in stock. Just picked one up!!

Here in Ohio no better, Went to best buy with my buddy, was quoted as Evo shippment tomorrow and now it's been moved to a nice lovely ambiguous "sometime from wednesday to friday" Here's hoping sooner rather than later but oh well. Decided to give in and pick one of these up yesterday. Couldnt find one in stock anywhere. This morning I was prepared to call every Radio Shack in the area. The 1st one I called said someone just took themselves off the list and that they had one available. I put my name on it, and picked it up 20 minutes later.
I have 2 friends that got theirs this same way. I did pre order one for my girlfriend though while I was there and she will be getting it on Friday.
I just got mine today and I had to call 8 or so sprint stores to find one in stock, ends up the store I got mine at had 10 in stock still from the first shipment and they had given a lot of their first order of 300 to other area stores. Once I got there it took them about 2 and a half hours to activate the flippin thing, my voice and 4g connected but my 3g never came up, took them forever to sort it out. They actually had to activate two evos to figure the problem out. I got 2 boxes and goodies out of the deal though, I am in the kc area too.
Which Sprint store was this? Im also in the KC area and have a few friends wondering if anyone has them in stock. Sounds like that store may be worth a shot.

i ordered mine online last night at 11pm central time and it was available waiting for it to come now ughhhh!!!!! all i have been doing is making lists of apps and what i want to try (been a windows mobile guy since the tilt days currently have a HTC Touch Pro 2 unlocked gotta sell that once my EVO comes in cant wait

I scooped mine up from the studio Sprint store, downtown in the power and light district, like 14th and grand, also I got a call from the Sprint store that I was on a waiting list at and they had one for me, i was number 15 I believe.

I was going to order it online last night and then dumb me second guessed myself and decided to see if i could get lucky in a store today. Now I realize that was a very stupid idea.
how are some of you getting overnight delivery; i placed my order around 12pm PST yesterday and i still haven't received a delivery notification or any updates; it still says waiting in the warehouse for processing; this is annoying me since it's supposed to be overnight delivery

I think the Focus will have a very nice display, but not sure about the plastic exterior. I'll be getting a Venue Pro, but that's also because I'm with T-Mobile. So my only choices are HD7 and VP. HTC has been cutting too many corners this time, so they will not be getting my money until higher quality phones start getting produced by them again.

i'm on t mobile too but since i'm 90% of the time have wifi so i'm probably going to wait and get the focus if it can be unlocked or the venue pro
Getting the phone yet bummed my 32GB Mico SD has been delayed shipping from an Amazon supplier. Wanted to load the phone right off the bat with maximum memory too.
EDITED: Decied to cancel the Class 2 32GB and get the Class 6 16GB
Ill have one Monday or possibly Sunday since that's when the AT&T stores actually get the phones. The guy at the store said he would call me Sunday when the phones arrive but I have my doubts.
I'm leaving sprint and HTC evo to try one out.

Strange they would get them on Sunday. Didn't know there were companies that did deliveries on Sunday. I went to the local Best Buy mobile yesterday and they already had the Surround. He hadn't even heard of the Focus.

I've been calling since Thursday since that's when the Captivate was being sold early, but they've been pretty adamant about not selling these early. I called one of the stores today and they had the Focus but wouldn't sell. Dropped by Best Buy and they showed me the Surrounds, but they didn't even know when they would get the Focus. Sucks because I think I could have one if they had them. I'll try to get one from a retail AT&T tomorrow. If not, I'm going to be late for work Monday
Does anyone know what GPS chip is getting put in this phone. If it is the same one that they put in their Galaxy S phones I'm going to have to pass. I have a Captivate and the GPS is worthless.

I've seen a lot of people concerned about that as well. All the reviews I've seen said it's much better than the Galaxy phones. So I assume its a different chipset or better drivers.

I believe it's different also since this hardware is completely different that the SGS phones. Also, Bill Gates is using it, so I'd assume it'd work or he'd be on a different phone

Just home from the AT&T store.
Got a $100 "loyalty" discount, a 20% percent discount on the 32 gig memory card, (final price of $110) and 2 usb cords. Total cost out the door is $248.
The salespeople in the store knew nothing about the phone. They were asking me questions about it.
I was the first person to ask for one today.

Yep, I was even given a time tomorrow that they'll be allowed to give them out - 3 p.m. Not sure if I buy that, but he did say I was the only person who even asked
They didn't act like it was any big deal. I asked for one, and he just went into the back of the store and got it.
I had gone in last Wednesday to ask if they had the approved microsd card, and they said that they didn't have anything in the store yet, but that I could come in on Sunday and pick up the phone.
I'm having trouble with Zune. I can't get Zune to see the phone when I plug it into the computer. I don't know if it is because I already have a Zune 80 assigned to the computer or not.
Other than that, it is pretty snazzy.

Just a tip to those who live near the border. Amazon USA is selling the white 16gb for $549 plus a free $50 Amazon gift card. Its a pretty good deal and I was able to take advatange of it. Also, you get perks worth $600 upon registering the tablet. I dont think the Canadian model offers the same perks.

Same happened to me..they called me ro pick it up but when I'm paying it they can't do it....I was so pissed I emailed the cust support and they replied and asking for more info....when I got back to work I ordered online at BB...got confirmation email but no tracking number yet...its so stupid calling me to pick it up when its not ready yet..here's hoping BB will send it out in th e next couple of days...
**update...just got my tracking number...yes!

I ordered it this morning after coming back from futureshop empty handed ...I might get it monday...they are shipping through Canada Post...lol I'm at the plant right now working part time and I know i won't receive it tomorrow....

Lol...my BB order is arriving tuesday....I called FS today and told them BB street date is today...he checked it...put me on hold and then told me that they've changed it so I can pick up mine today...he remembered me and my tab is still on hold....now I got two coming my way will return one...

I just bought the last one in calgary today bro!!!
didn't realize it was released until last night at about midnight, woke up this morning and called everywhere. the best buy stores ALL had their stock mis-shipped, so NONE of them got it in. as for futureshop, the only one that had any left was the deerfoot meadows store, which thankfully is only about a ten minute drive from my house. called, got the guy to put it away for me, and tore down there as fast as i could, went in and bought it immediately (after having them run around looking for it because the sales guy didn't put it on hold properly, he just hid it inside the lockup where their normal stock is...so i could have even had it sold out from under me if i wasn't lucky).
i ended up buying the total protection plan coverage because it covers up to two free replacements if i break it, so i figure worst case, it breaks, great i just saved 300 bucks on the second tablet (since the plan cost me 300 instead of its usual 360) and then if i break it again, perhaps days before the end of the warranty and when they only have the next generation note available, then i guess i get it replaced with the new one
also the warranty is over the counter for breakage, they don't make you wait and wait and wait.... you simply bring it in, they see it's broken, and they go get you a new one. if it's just needing repair, like for the battery, which is covered for two years also, then you actually get a loaner note while yours is being fixed...pretty damn cool!!!!
anyways, i just installed the latest australia firmware onto it, since that is the newest of any available, and i just rooted it....starting to really enjoy it now. now i just hope someone comes out with at least a rom or two for it, or i might have to try my hand at making one, although i've never made one how hard can it be? lol...
I just spent 20min waiting outside a T-Mobile store before it opened, the doors finally opened, I tell the rep I would like to buy a Note 4 and to my shock she said "we didn't get any". I called every other store in a 30mi radius and NOBODY has them. So make sure you call before you waste your time driving to the store.
This is all very ironic since I decided not to preorder so I could be one of the first people to get one on launch day I am pretty ticked so I filed a formal complaint, and encourage others to do the same (being polite of course). Stores are suppose to get shipments days in advance of a major product launch.

I live in NW Houston and working in SE Houston/Pasadena area so I called a lot of stores near home and work and about half of them said that Note 4 is sold out (calling within 9am-930am) and the rest said they are still waiting for the shipment and some said they only do store orders and directly shipping it to my home address. One store told me to hurry up in the afternoon because they are only getting 4 units. WTF?
Wow, only 4? I wonder if Samsung is to blame or if it's T-Mobile. Or both. I haven't heard of any other carriers having supply issues yet.

I mentioned I didn't preorder since I wanted to have it as soon as possible, I didn't feel like waiting for the UPS truck to show up. I called the minute preorders were up, they said I would get it on the 17th probably in the afternoon.

Sorry to hear you haven't had any luck locating a store with Note 4's in stock.
I'm south of Houston & planned to walk into a store to pick one up but decided to pre-order instead...certainly worked out for the better.
I called 6 different Corp stores and they all said shipment got botched and hopefully ups is delivering them today. Non Corp stores have them. Any reason not to go to a non Corp. At AT&T I got screwed by going non Corp

I've never gone to a non corporate store to get a phone. I know there are some things 3rd party stores can't do. It's kind of funny I actually work in mobile sales for a major company but we don't sell T-Mobile so I have to go get one at a store like everyone else. Our store actually only had 3 to sell as of last night when I got off(the rest of the shipment we got was all in store pickups for preorders) and I mentioned to management how BS that was.

Now that we know, ordering at the store is not it. Now you can tell UPS to hold your package while its on its way and you just pick it up at the service center. Everyone that live near KY gets free upgrade to next day air.

As of 12:00 a vast majority of the stores in the bay area don't have any but one had a few whites and another had a few white and one black.

This is all very ironic since I decided not to preorder so I could be one of the first people to get one on launch day I am pretty ticked so I filed a formal complaint, and encourage others to do the same (being polite of course). Stores are suppose to get shipments days in advance of a major product launch.

I was the same. I was really mad. but I got mine from a different store. The funny thing is all the guys at tmobile had a new shirt has the next big thing is here and they have nothing in stock
I played with the Note 4 for a bit but going to probably wait and see how I like the Nexus 6. The store only had a few left of the 8 they got.
I called 10 stores this morning in my area for 2 white (for a friend - got mine Wed). 7 had sold out already, 2 will not get their shipments in until after 3pm and 1 had 2 left. Unfortunately, they won't hold them so he's gonna try his luck at those 2 stores since the last store is an hour and half drive and likely won't be stocked when he gets there.
From what the stores told me, most of them got 2 white and 2 black and received their shipment later than expected but still sold out quickly. I'm surprised - they had so many s5 on launch day but I guess the Note 4 is a different breed!
same here some stores hadnt gotten the shipment yet. but i found one that did so i got mine.

Guess samsung just wants to "sell out"
So much for Samsung spending millions on marketing and promoting their phones only to mess up their store launch day
Well I dont even know if this is Samsung's or Tmo's fault.
Oh, there one store 60 miles away from me expecting the delivery in 30 mins. Crossing my fingers that I'll be able to get one 2 hrs from now. Cant leave work yet
all the other stores said to call or go back at 11 am to 2 pm to see if they already had them.
Left my local bestbuy last night and a couple blueshirts there told me that they would be releasing the S7 and S7 Edge this Monday. I was pre-ordering and asked when it came out and they told me I could pick it up on monday.
So if you preordered from bestbuy i'd recommend calling them and seeing if they are also releasing it early.
I don't know how truthful BestBuy is. I got my pre-ordered T-Mobile S7 on the 3rd of March and was told by my local BestBuy store that they had the Otterbox cases in stock for the S7. So I drive over to the store and find out that they have the cases in stock but won't be releasing them until the 11th of March because that's when the phones will be released. I will NOT be going back to BestBuy again!

I bought a surround sound system from them a month ago. He told me i was gonna get a discount and hed hook me up with an hdmi and optical cable. Then he was tryin to talk me into joinin their "rewards program" it was like every $100 you get a dollar or something. I was like, "it'd take me so long, im good" but i bought a tv a couple months before so he said i could get credit for that aswell. So finally i said, "well, your not gonna send me a bunch of emails if i sign up are you". He said, " haha noooooo"!
Long story kinda shortened.
I paid full price for the SS system.
I got a wopping $5 off a used hdmi cable. Which was $20
Paid full price for optical audio cable $25
Then at the end i said oh can we add my tv to the rewards program. (Of course the salesman left so i was left with some kid to check me out)
He said, "oh man we'd have to call customer service and i dont think theyd do it anyway"

The following weeks im flooded with best buy emails, i unsubscribe at least 10 times with no stop to it. Finally have to call a 800 number and scream at them to make it stop.
Yeah.... Best Buy can shove it...
Oh i ended up takin it back anyway so i got my money back. Hah
big thread on reddit about this: multiple best buy mobile employees confirmed it, and users who went there confirmed it. people got calls to pickup on monday too.
pisses me off bc i chose shipping instead of in store (for the first time ever with best buy) bc i was worried they'd run out of stock before my preorder was fulfilled, so i wouldn't be able to walk in friday and get it. did shipping, thinking they'll def have enough in a warehouse.
yeah, and now they release early lol. so mad.
Pre ordered from Best buy about 2 hours after they started taking pre orders and I haven't received notification yet.

You should. I heard about this from https://www.reddit.com/r/GalaxyS7/comments/490phl/best_buy_preorders_go_out_monday/, and went to my local best buy to be sure. They had no idea what I was talking about, and reaffirmed the 11th as the release date. This was yesterday, today my GF got a call that our phones have arrived and that we can pick them up tomorrow.

My preorder confirmation said they would Email me when the items were ready. By chance, did they mention if the Gear VR was ready for pickup also?

Sorry, She didn't think to ask about the Gear VR. I'll call to ask. Our preorder confirmation states the same about notification of pickup.

Same thing happened to me. They had a Samsung rep there and I even showed him the phone, still wouldn't sell it. I went to U.S. Cellular, AT&T and even the new T-Mobile store in my town but neither had cases yet. Verizon store had the stuff out on display already so i bought my case and screen protector there.
I wondered who the *#&@ cares if I buy a piece of plastic for a phone that isn't "out yet"? I am giving you money, why do you care?! It was dumb as f.

Just got off the phone with my local BestBuy, they said that it should be no problem. She mentioned it would be FCFS based on available stock, dunno if this means you can get one shipped later, or if you are sol.
Well...that's kind of strange. The Best Buy website now shows the expected release date for the phone on my order as: "Null"?
The other 2 items still show expected release of 3-11-2016.
Edit: They just now changed the expected release date to 3-7-2016.

Yeah. I ordered two actually, got two seperate emails. I tried looking them up, but it says the name and phone number are wrong, didnt say anything about order number being wrong.
Edit: nevermind, it was under my old name. My att acct is kinda wonky haha.
