Does the HTC Surround have a MicroSD slot?
I'm currently using the Samsung Focus, and want to buy the HTC surround, but I cannot get confirmation that it does have the MicroSD slot for expansion of internal memory?
Can anyone tell me if it does or not?
No. There is no opened slot for MICRO SD Card. But, as i know, micro sd car is inside of surround. You can disassemble it and change standard 16GB card.
Sleepwalkergt is right on. Its pretty easy to replace as well. The metal plate beside the sim card is where the SD card is. All you have to do is take off the plastic lining and its under some tinfoilish covering.

It was a piece of plastic, nothing impressive.
Yes, a Mini SD card should work without an adapter.
Did you get some kind of SD card convertor boxed with your phone and if so was it SD to MiniSD or MicroSD to MiniSD?
Thanks. I'm just about to order an 8GB MicroSD card but am nowhere near home to check what was included boxed with my phone.
Cheers.

here are some pictures
trinity have a miniSD slot
normal SD is around 2 times as big
microSD is around ½ the size
if the converter you talk about fit inside the device it's a mini to micro
Take a look on the picture ,it is a good one from kingston

normally mini sd cards come with a mini to SD card adaptor, so you can use it in a standard card reader
No adaptor was included with my phone
No adaptor was included with my phone. You will have to buy them yourself.
To use the 8Gb microcard, you will need a microSD->miniSD-adaptor adaptor for the Trinity, and a microSD-> or miniSD->SD adaptor for your cardreader.

Hi - I'm in the market for the Droid 2 (Global) and have a question after reading a great deal about it. It comes with an 8GB SD memory card. In the section of the manual that talks about putting the phone together (battery, etc), it mentions a slot for an SD memory card. Since there isn't an 8GB card in that slot, it makes me believe I can put another card in there. Is that true? I'd like to use this phone for movies and music while on planes but 8GB isn't really enough except for music.
Thanks in advance.

As far as I know (I have the Droid 2 [not global]) and there is only one SD card slot. The 8GB sdcard that comes with it uses that one up. That sdcard slot will allow for up to a 32GB sdcard for storage, though. So if you were to purchase a 32GB or 16GB micro SD card you could get the storage you want.
I don't know why, but my external sd card reader DOESN'T clip the SD Card when inserted. It always ejects the card . I considered to fix it myself, but it seems that a tiny piece is not fitting well so I'm thinking of ordering a replace part that I could use to get over this.
I have found screens, buttons, SIM readers, but nothing about SD card readers. Do any of you know where to buy this ext. reader?? Thanks!
Solved! I have seen that the SIM card reader comes with the SD Card reader. I will order one. Thanks!
Good to know...thanks 4 the info!
My wife was having having trouble playing songs from her micro sd card (the tracks kept skipping a beat or so), so she bought a new micro sd card. She used the micro sd card for a few days and today the smartphone would not see the micro sd card when she went to "storage". I've tested it on my cellphone and on my computer and none could detect the micro sd card. Could the cellphone have damaged the micro sd card somehow or is this most likely a coincidence?
Personally I think if it's a new card it's just a bad card. It happens.
OK few questions is the SD card SanDisk?
How large is it?
If it is a SanDisk then it is possible for some issues just read up on it.
