Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 and 10.1 dated for European release – from June 29 (For Some) - Galaxy Tab 10.1 General

No mention of a UK release/price which is a shame.
Spotted on Eurodroid (via Twitter).
Samsung’s pair of forthcoming Android tablets look like hitting the market at the end of this month, in some parts of Europe at least, with Samsung Finland and Sweden announcing that both tablets will launch there on June 29.
The Samsung Android 3.1 tablets will be exclusive on local network Telia to begin with. Unlocked versions will follow in August (10.1) and September (8.9), with prices ranging from €499 for the cheapest wi-fi only 8.9 model up to €699 for the 3G version of the Galaxy Tab 10.1.

[Q] When does the Xoom come to Europe?

Hi,
do we know, when the Xoom comes out in Europe (especially in Germany) finally?
no announcement yet on it. but if you look at the xoom US price it is quite cheap in euro's if you inport one once GSM or wifi version comes out
http://www.carphonewarehouse.com/news/coming-soon/motorola-xoom-3g
Expected April 2011
3g version sold by CPW & Bestbuy
Wifi version to be sold by DSG (currys, pc world et al)

omg still 2 month. Maybe Xoom and Samsung Galaxy 10.1 will start at the same time
Good chance that GT10.1 will be in stores next month... at least they are trying to start sales before Xoom hits the shops.
The wait is killing me..!
So PC World UK have a page up for the wifi version
http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/motorola-xoom-1316-commercial.html
Looks like they will be asking £449.99 for it

Article also mentions Germany........
"CW expects the 3G Xoom to arrive in April. In Germany, T-Mobile has the tablet's availability pencilled in for the end of that month. "

T-Mobile will have the Xoom available at the end of April. It will cost €699.95 and will be available exclusively at T-Mobile for the first 3 months.

Now they start the "exclusive per carrier"-crap like in the US, in Germany too.
Xoom for T-Mobile and Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 for Vodafone?!
keep refreshing that pcworld/currys page waiting for the pre-order for £450 to open so I can order myself one... ::sigh::

Galaxy Tab 8.9 hitting Nordic countries in September

http://www.engadget.com/2011/06/15/elusive-galaxy-tab-8-9-hitting-nordic-countries-in-september/
Samsung today issued a slew of press releases announcing the arrival of new tablets in Sweden, Finland, Denmark, and Norway. The news, naturally, focuses on the company's flashy Galaxy Tab 10.1, which will arrive in those countries in August. What's really interesting here, however, is the mention of the more compact Galaxy Tab 8.9, which has been out of the spotlight as of late, reportedly due to screen problems. The issues (if there were indeed any) have apparently been resolved, and the 8.9 is set to be released in the aforementioned Nordic territories in September -- either that or it's going to take an extra month to shave an inch and change off of those remaining 10.1 models.

I'm going out on a limb and saying that we won't see the TouchWiz UX on Honeycomb until a few weeks after the 8.9 releases. This is with the presumption that the 8.9 will be shipping with the TWUX. Hopefully they'll take that few weeks and work out any bugs, then push the 10.1 owners a less buggy TWUX (we all know there will be bugs).
When in UK, NL, DE, FR, BE, ES, IT?

I'm planning to buy it from Germany (that is if i can convince myself that i need another tablet right now). All larger German retailers show that white 3G version should be available by end of June.
Engatget somehow left out one part in that news. The 3G 10.1 will be available in Sweden on June 29th.

Samsung Galaxy S III to hit retail shelves in India on June 8, priced at Rs 39,990

Samsung will be hosting a press conference in New Delhi on May 31 to launch the Galaxy S III in India but the smartphone is likely to be available a week later. Multiple sources have told BGR India that the Galaxy S III will be available on store shelves around June 8. Even online retailers are expecting units to be available for shipping from June 8 onwards.
We are also hearing that the Galaxy S III will be priced at Rs 39,990. This is likely to be the MRP and not the street price. However, considering the high profile nature of the Galaxy S III, we cannot confirm whether the phone will retail at Rs 39,990 for the first few weeks or will it, like all other phones, have a different market operating price as soon as it is launched. At the moment, Samsung is taking pre-bookings for the Galaxy S III and is offering a free Bluetooth headset for those who commit Rs 2,000 to reserve their unit.
The Galaxy S III will compete with the HTC One X, which was launched in India for Rs 37,899 and is now retailing at about Rs 36,000. Samsung might just put a premium on the Galaxy S III, considering the success of the Galaxy S II and the Galaxy Note as well as its marketing muscle, which would easily overshadow what HTC has done so far for the One X. Ideally, HTC could gain some additional sales were it to slash the price of the One X but that is unlikely to happen.

Nice June 8 isn't too far from now. I'm excited for Indian users as a lot of them are into samsung devices and also great developers like Gadgetcheck.
