Continuum not connect to wifi or 3g network - Continuum General

My continuum soft bricked on the the other day. i flashed the dl20 kernal and system files and then updated it to the dl17 and now i cannot connect to wifi or the 3g internet

Did you restore a backup in cwm?

well when it soft bricked it messed up my sd card so no i didnt do a restore. it messed up a total of two sd cards before i got it back to the point that i could get the actual op system running
is it possible that the radio kernal ended up becoming messed up or something along those lines

She's going to need to manually download a new ROM and flash it from Clockworkmod. Holy run-on sentence btw.
That's the problem though her laptop is getting worked we tried advanced restore and everything but it gets stuck on boot

She could always pop her SD card into another phone, use that phone to download the ROM, and then move it back. Or, she could borrow and friends computer or go to a library. Either way.....

Update... after about 200texts back and forth I was finally able to get her to go to partitions menu and format boot system data and cache so then after two more attempts of running nandroid it finally restored I have never had a nandroid fail to restore boot it was the weirdest thing and the format boot was my last resort but thank God it worked lol and I have s serious headache

HELP!!! Screen not responding after CWM mods!!!

****. I accidentally clicked the option to partition internal SD card and it screwed up my phone!! Kept booting up in RSD mode so I tried flashing it. It boots but the bottom inch of the screen is misaligned by about a CM or so.
Tried the latest FW and the first to no avail. Redownloaded them and nothing. How can I fix this? Tried formatting internal SD card and going back to factory settings.
I'm in Canada and bought this off someone online so is my Atrix ****ed for good?
How did you do that. Would that work on a 32gb

Sorry but this doesn't help. I noted how it was done. I accidentally partitioned the internal SD card. It was late at night and my contact lenses were bugging out.
Rebooted and it wouldn't boot. Using Droid Explorer to control my phone and trying to see what I can do. I'm thinking I somehow have to repartition the internal SD card so I'm trying to get CWM back on there.
If anyone could help that'd be amazing.
Can anyone help? I tried calling Motorola and they said I can't send it directly from Canada... am I SOL???
Hi,
I did the same thing ... could you fix it?
Your pds partition is messed up, you need to flash the pds partition fix. There's a post in either general or few about the fix

Just google pds partition fix and download for the version of android you are running
Sent from my MB860 using xda premium
i think you shuld tell your version first
and call others to backup their pds
if you can reboot to recovery, you can restore your pds,but maybe you can't make phone calls,as my friend's defy has the same problem, and at last have fixed
chinese with poor english

Evo wont boot up?

I tried to flash a new rom and when i did it said operation aborted because couldnt locate boot.img. I restored to my previous backup and it wont boot past white evo screen. I went even farther back and tried my previous backup. still wouldnt boot. Also, somewhere in there the phone died.... I still restored my backup so it shouldnt affect it should it? Thanks. Im kinda freaking out.
PS im on synergy, tried to go to alliance-netflix.
Maybe the back ups are messed up.
Thats scares me
Will your phone charge?

Yea, I redownloaded the alliance netflix and placed it on my sd card from a computer adapter.. Then I flashed. It worked that time. What scared me was that was the first time I flashed formatall.Zip and it erased boot? So then I flashed the rom and it couldn't find boot. Img. But it worked out. Thanks.

Wi-Fi not working

Have been enjoying epinter's ROM, but recently been having some issues.
Last week, everything suddenly started misbehaving, and then it rebooted and went into a boot loop. I restored to an older NANDROID backup and it worked fine. But since that event, it has been rebooting quite regularly at random times. Sometimes, it goes into a bootloop. Have realised that if I take out the battery and leave it to cool down for a few mins, it starts working fine. I suppose this is to do with overheating.
I deleted FastDormancy.apk as suggested by epinter. Doesn't seem to have made a difference.
Since day before, it isn't detecting any Wi-Fi networks. I flashed the 20120922 version of epinter's ROM too, but still have the same problem. Tried the WiFi settings, but that didn't help.
Today I cleared data and cache, and reinstalled 20120922 version of the ROM, but still got the problem.
I also upgraded radios to 37p. Didn't help.
Any suggestions on how to diagnose it? Is it possible that Wi-Fi (hardware) is bust?

No suggestions?
Maybe hardware!

Might suggest a full -w in fastoot. Load a different recovery via fastboot then a stable rom just to test with like Joker CM9 or Fruitcake.
If that don't work start checking antenna connections and ribbon cables for damage.

What do you mean by 'Load a different recovery via fastboot'? I have used fastboot to wipe fully, but could you point me to the 'recovery' to be used?
Thanks
My phone is repeatedly rebooting now. It's not in a boot loop. It actually boots into ICS and then reboots after some time.
Really would appreciate any insights on this.
You can use fast boot to flash recovery files to the phone. You need to while recovery then use "fastboot flash recovery filename.img" for example. Assuming your file is in the same directory on your PC.
I only suggest out of practice. I typically find if any part of the hardware fails to boot or load with the rest of the phone I start with a clean cwm ,rom, and so on. Start at 0 essentially. If the problem goes away then its most certainly soft wear and you can trouble shoot from thwre

Does Bluetooth work ?
Sent from my MB860 using Tapatalk 2
I've been using the 20120825 version of epinter's rom, and everything has been incredibly stable for me except wifi and bluetooth. Neither will turn on, and under advanced wifi settings my wifi chip is giving the mac address as not available.
I flashed CM7 a few weeks ago to see if that would fix it and CM7 gives an error when I try and turn wifi on, also showing not available for the wifi mac address.
I've seen around here a little bit that this might be a hardware issue that happens irrespective of what rom you use or if still on stock.
Has anyone found a fix for it?
EDIT: also using the 37P radio.
I also found this thread... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=26163360

[Q help please] lost my wifi mac address an wifi will not turn on

Hello.
I purchased yesterday a brand new d802 . I've rooted it and restored all my wifi connection from my old phone using wifi baclup and restore. I know i did somthing incredibly stupid but because now i cannr enable the wifi and settings show that there is no mac address. Factory reset failed to bring any solution. Can anybody help please?

sounds like when you restored the info from your old phone it borked something. If you made a back up before doing that then I would restore it. Otherwise you will need to most likely restore to stock or if you were on a custom rom reflash it.
try factory reset, never ever backup that kind of stuff, unless it's via LG tool.
