MIUI 2.3.4 for Galaxy S - v1.6.3 sd card problem - Galaxy S I9000 General

Hello ! Yesterday I installed this ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=13782793&highlight=microsd#post13782793 on my SGS, and I have a big problem ! I can not acces my external microsd card. What I should do ?

I am using same rom and I am able to access it.
Just take out sd card, switchoff, take out battery insert sd card again, and battery
Reboot.
That should work, if not
Install newer version 1.6.10
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA Premium App

Is not working at all(reboot=not, update=nothing changed)... When i connect the cellphone to pc I see only the phone storage and the sdcard storage not.. I do not know what to do

Same problem. Card is readable on PC. Won't read in MIUI anymore. Even formatting the card won't help. External_SD-map is already there but none of the files on the ExtSD are there.

I'm guessing you came from a gingerbread rom and didn't flash the froyo bootloaders. Alternatively, look under sdcard/external_sd

+1 you need froyo bootloader. I had the same issue. Resolved by flashing froyo and reinstalling MIUI.

I installed this ROM but there are a lot of bugs, camera stop working after you take picture, the music player need to be refreshed every time, ringtone changer problem etc etc... It's a beautiful ROM but with those bugs isn't worth..

I've had this problem too. I've resolved it installing a Froyo Stock rom with odin and after making exactly this like is in the Miui thread:
0: Be sure that you're based on a Froyo FW! CRUCIAL.
1: Load these files:
a) galaxy-efsbackup.zip / Mirror
b) cm7-galaxys-initial-kernel.tar / Mirror
c) MIUI MCGv5.3 / Mirror
d) speedmod-kernel-k13c-500hz.tar / Mirror
(thanks to creative59 for mirrors!)
2: Copy all files except:
speedmod-kernel-k13c-500hz.tar & cm7-galaxys-initial-kernel.tar
3: Flash speedmod-kernel-k13c-500hz.tar via Odin, wait for reboot and after that shutdown
4: Start via 3-button-combo in recovery mode and install galaxys-efsbackup.zip
5: Pull out battery and in again, start via 3-button-combo via download mode and flash cm7-galaxys-initial-kernel.tar via Odin BUT DON'T check repartition and auto reboot
6: Pull out the USB cable and start (in download mode) with 3-button-combo in recovery mode (waiting until samsung logo appears)
7: Choose "mounts & storage" and format system, data, cache
8: Flash MIUI MCGv5.3.

Note thar I don't have the SD card inserted on the phone during this procedure. I've put the SD card after the first boot (with Miui rom) on the phone and reboot the SGS to work. And to work you will need a folder called "external_sd" (without "") on the SGS internal SD. Make shure that you have this folder when you insert the external SD card.

I encountered this problem too, I had froyo before miui. Used miui a while, suddenly external sd didn't work. I tried everything. Managed to fix it this way:
1. Make sure external_sd folder is on sdcard, if not, make one and name it that.
2. Take out sd card
3. Shut it off
4. Battery out (I tried without taking the battery out, doesn't work, take it out)
5. While battery is out, put ext sd in
6. Turn it on
Probably it will work, if not, do it again, and instead of step 6, boot into recovery.
Format system and cache. Reflash whichever rom you were on. If this didn't work, and you really were on froyo before flashing, well, the sd might be broken, your card reader in the phone might be broken, or you might need to double check the froyo base you used.

when I connect the phone with pc,the pc dosen't recognise the sd card, do you have any solution for this, guys ?

sdcard is there but does not work
Oops, double post... sorry

sdcard is there but does not work
I can access my ext sdcard via file explorer but it says that it's not supported by a2sd+ I got the same problem with Cyanogen mod. I came from froyo 2.2.1 flashed clockworkmod 2 then installed 2.2 version of miui after that I flashed 3.0. So I guess I did nothing wrong. I followed the instructions on the miui website.
Can't find a single solution that fixes my problem. Every attempt ( also those here ) did not work so far. Also if I install an app it forecloses on opening. Maybe this has something to do with a2sd not working properly. for instance I can't install whatsapp it forecloses after I put in my phone number and screenname.

Hi......with a file explorer create a folder in: mnt/sdcard/external_sd
create another folder in: /sdcard/external_sd
reboot and miui see the Ext SD in file explorer but A2SD don't work for it

[HOWTO] WORKAROUND for BELL i9000m Internal SD Card Failure!!!!!

Hello Everyone,
I like most people upgraded my Bell i9000m from Kies to Froyo, only to have it bricked with the "can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0" error at the recovery screen during boot-up. I upgraded it last week, where it took the firmware from JL8 to I believe JK3 or JL8 (not sure at this point).
Unfortunately I bought my phone from some guy on Kijiji using it on Rogers, so I doubt Bell is going to handle the return or give me any love
Anyways, I spent many days long days trying to get it back working, and I found a work-around that requires using an external SD card. and going back to Android 2.1 ECLAIR
Steps (This is what I did):
1. Install JK3 stock ROM via Odin (with re-partition at the pit on samfirmware.com, didn't update boot loader)
2. Install K13c speedmod kernel via Odin
3. Insert 16GB External SD card
3. Boot phone to Froyo
4. Reboot to recovery console and wipe data/everything
5. Install JL8 stock ROM via Odin (no re-partition, didn't update boot loader)
6. Phone will boot-up into recovery mode and automatically do wipe data
7. Phone will boot into ECLAIR
8. You will see internal storage of 1.85GB free.
9. Install Market apps - I installed twitter
10. If you remove external SD card, twitter will crash.
11. If you reboot phone without external SD card, you will get rebooting logo
12. If you put external SD card back it, phone boots!
This wasn't a fluke - I was able to reproduce if I flashed other ROMS (XXJPY or similar) instead of JK3.
Background:
Even though the phone can't boot with stock ROM, if I install JK3 ROM + speedmod K13b speedmod kernel, I can get the phone to boot to Froyo, but there is no internal storage (it shows up as 0 bytes available). So you can't install Market apps, and therefore is useless. I can't even mount the external SD card under the Settings app!
So I tried to log in the Froyo device using adb shell, and what I found is that internal SD card is no longer showing up under linux, and the OS thinks that the external SD card is the internal one. This is probably why the external SD card can no longer be mounted.
I figured out that the external SD card shows up as /dev/block/mmcblk0!!! WHich is the same block device as the internal SD card...so I'm thinking if I reboot into recovery and format SD card, how come it's not working? I even tried to partition the external SD card with android partitions, but still nothing!
I think Froyo is 'smarter' in that it knows the external SD card is not internal (whether it's grepping the device-info for manufacture data, don't know).
But if I go to JL8 Eclair, the Android 2.1 is 'dumb' enough that is doesn't see the difference between internal and external, so formats the external to look like internal.
Once I boot to ECLAIR, the external SD card is greyed out under Settings app, but I get 1.85GB internal storage!! OK I can't access the whole 16GB of the card, but at least my phone is not toast.
I can go ahead an install apps, which will install to the external SD card. But if you remove the external SD card, the phone will no longer boot. If I remove the card and apps are running, apps will crash (case in point: I tried twitter).
It will be nice if others can re-produce my findings. But for now my Samsung Galaxy S has been saved!
Kashif Shaikh
this sounds promising, can some more people confirm this solution to use External SD to imitate internal SD?
It worked for me as well! I have i9000M version, with internal SD failure. I'm also using 8GB external microSD card. I tried several 2.2 Android firmwares - specifically I9000XXJPY, I9000XXJPU. With update to speedmod-kernel I'm able to load device, but it doesn't see neither internal nor external SD card. So I couldn't install any applications, upload data or even shot with camera.
Based on this thread, on top of XXJPY with speedmod kernel I uploaded I9000XWJM8 firmware (Android 2.1) with Odin 1.7, no repartitioning. It worked right away - device loaded and I can see ~2GB of program storage (assume they storage is located on my external card). Both internal and external cards are shown as "Not available" in settings. I can install applications now, which made "brick" a bit better then it was before. Unfortunately, I still can't upload any data, i.e. a book for FB2Reader. And can't make a photo with my camera. And it's now Android 2.1, which looks slower.
First of all - thanks for the advice! It would be good to have this topic "sticked" and distributed - there might be other guys with no chance to repair phone under warranty.
Secondly - if someone can do a "hack" for Android 2.2 firmware so it can use external SD card for program storage specifically for I9000M device? And it would be terrific, if the remaining part of SD card (or at least some fixed size, like 4 GB) can be mounted as storage, so the data like music or photo or books can be uploaded.
I'm able to connect to the phone using adb tool, but I can't find a folder on the device where I can upload (push) a file to. I'd like to upload a book to the device so I can finally use it as a reader. I tried all "root" folders (adb shell -> ls) and all don't work. It says "No such file or directory" or "Permission denied".
Is there a folder on the device which I can push file to using adb tool? Maybe somewhere where applications are installed to, i.e. Program Storage location. Please help!
Anyone else following this thread with I9000M with internal card dead?
This isn't much of a fix. This will only work with phones with slightly corrupted (and not fully corrupt) sdcards; eventually your phone will probably stop booting with this "fix" as well. You're going to eventually loose some of the other partitions such as stl10 to corruption, and then you're screwed.
The OP's phone is corrupt in a specific way that allows this - and there are various procedures that will get your phone to a semi-bootable state if you only have a partially dead sdcard. Like the OP said - just installing speedmod kernel with an external SD in will allow your phone to boot, for example (I got my dead sd i9000m to boot froyo with the speedmod kernel, and others had reported the same as well). Then if you're technical enough you can switch around your mount configs and get it to work without the internal mmc device.
It doesn't matter if you bought your phone off kijiji or craigslist 2nd hand; send it back to samsung (or go thru futuretel or a similar provider). No receipt is going to be required (if they ask... just say you can't find it). Products like this will always be repaired under warranty based on manufacture date code.
Send your phone back; don't try to fix it - it's a hardware problem with the mmc connection.
Unfortunately, I'm 10 thousand miles away from Canada with no chance getting there. If I had option to send it back for repair I would do it right away. So I'm searhing an option to use this semi-brick as much as possible.
My i9000M phone has totally corrupted internal SD card - it failed two months ago and I tried all options for it reformatting / remounting / whatever. With speedmod kernel it loads even without external sd card. It just allows loading without internal storage - not use external card to mimic internal. Unfortunately, it doesn't see any storage then - no internal, no program, no external card. So it just loads.
With Android 2.1 and external card it loads _and_ see 2GB of program storage (on external card). It doesn't see any other storage - so I can't upload any file. But at least I can install applications.
I'll try this solution after buy a Microsd card. My i9000M internal sdcard dead in two days ago after fixlag use ext2 partitions.

Samsung or bell can help you. Send your phone in for repair....
for same reason .i cannot send my phone to bell. so i very want to know find JL8 rom to let me phone canbe use . please help.
HI guys . thanks for your help.
actually ,every I9000 2.1 rom CAN use this solution. just need your external SD same as your phone internal SD size. if you are 8G internal SD , you must use 8G external SD card with 2.1 ROM . you can get 1.85G system space.
I've just tried XWJVB firmware - stock Android 2.3.3 - and it also works! Phone loads without flashing custom kernel.
I wonder, if there is a way to upload any file to the phone - so I can put there a book and read it.
does this mean this workaround still can't recover the files that were originally in my internal sd?
Nope. the internal sd is gone, probably forever.
workaround allows running the phone and having 2GB out of microsd card available for programs storage. it allows downloading and installing application from app market. still, you don't have other storage - can't upload a file or even make a photo with camera.
very wierd. if anyone would suggest a workaround to upload file to the device - even using any hacked way, like from abd or whatever
I flashed custom Kernel (CF-Root-XW_XEE_JVB-v3.1-CWM3RFS) over latest JVB. The device is now rooted.
Using adb tool I was able to push fb2 file to device - specifically to dev folder. (adb push file.fb2 /dev). Using Moon Reader I can open and read it! That's terrific after long time of finding a way of doing this.
Unfortunately, Moon reader is the only app that works. FBReader tries to open the book but fails with writing cache to sd card (which is broken).
This is a most useful post, thank you. I get the phone working on 2.2 which is great but I am unable to find the JL8 stock ROM, I locked for it everywhere but could not find it, would someone please indicate where to find it...

Why would you need old stock ROM?
Just flashed XXJVP stock ROM to my I9000M. This is Android 2.3.4. Taken from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1011901
Flashed CF-Root-XX_OXA_JVP-v3.7-CWM3RFS on top of it for rooting
Phone works
It needed some tricks this time to upload a file to deivce. For some reason all folders appear to be read only, including dev. So I used abd shell command to change folder permissons
adb shell
$ su
# chmod 777 /data
then exit and
adb push file.fb2 /data
File is stored and is not lost on reboot, like it was for dev folder
stuck on step 6..
first of all, this is a great post for those who still stuck with a dead i9000m and no help from Sammy!
Steps (this is how i followed)
1. fine
2. fine
3. fine (i inserted a 16gb Sandisk class 2 in FAT32 format)
3a. i couldn't 'boot to froyo' i'm not sure if you mean fully boot into the OS or not, but it was in a bootloop
4. i was able to get to step 4 somehow to the recovery (3e) and wipe data (there was still the cant mount error when wiping data but no error when wiping cache partition - is that normal?)
5. i cant find JL8 but others here suggested any other 2.1 ROM works so i tried JM8 (no repart/no update bootloader)
6. the phone did do something other than boot loop! (first time wow!) it was trying to copy something but it didn't go all the way through.. there was an error saying 'efs format failed /dev/block/mmcblk0p2' after/during 'coping media files'.
- could it be the wrong format going in (should it be something other than FAT32?)
- could it be that class 2 was not the right class (no fast enough??)
- the copying process stopped after it finished copying media files.. (the micro sd card did have some media files
- there was 2 folders Samsung folder (with media files) and svox (i think that was the name of the folder)
can anyone shed some light on where i did wrong, thanks everyone, love this forum btw.

[Q] Help i can't flash roms. Tried several ways

All this on a new vibrant using the stock 2.1
I've rooted the phone with one click. I've used oneclick as admin to run the 3s update.
I have update.zip loaded onto the root of my phone(not sd card)
I have clockwork recovery on my phone and i have done a backup
I have booted to recovery mode from Rom Manager then when i try to install zip from sd it takes me to a directory.
I select zip from sd card
I select sd/ and my nothing is showing there just keeps taking me back to the directory and telling me "no files found"
Sooo then i tried flash rom from sd in rom manager and it starts to flash then give a message "no sd-ext found. skipping backup of sd-ext" then it tells me to reboot.
What am i doing wrong I've been working on this since yesterday morning with no success.
sd-ext is the external sd card not the build in 16gb.
Put one microsd in with the rom you want to flash.
You need to put the rom you want to flash in the internal sd card, not the external sd.

I had done that in the first place and then when i went to boot the screen was all distorted and i couldn't see what it said so i flashed the stock rom back.
I just tried again and it said to reboot so i did and now my toxic rom seems to be working just fine. Thanks for the input

[Q] SD card blocked after update CWM

Today, many hours ago, i wanted to install the
[ROM][22/1/12][U8800][MIUI][v2.1.20][MULTILINGUAL][2.6.35 Kernel]
I came from the
[ROM][15/01/2012][U8800][MIUI][v2.1.20][MULTILINGUAL][2.6.32 Kernel]
So first changed my CWM into version ClockworkMod [v5.5.0.4]
I first pasted the new rom on my U8800 (previous versions i also had the network problems so needed latest version) SD card, then did the new CWM install and after this i lost all sound and mic...
I tryed to install the new ROM but still the network problem...
So i did my back-up but again no sound/mic/vibrate working...
After this i wanted to put an older rom or maybe CWM back on my SD card but now the SD can't be written on...
What can i do now...
Someone plz help me... Now my phone doesn't have network or any sound, vibrate also isn't working...
Best regards VdBRoald
Try to update from internal sd?
Also, the newer MIUI requires you to install official 2.3.5 before you install it. The newer has different kernel .35 that is required for all functions to work. (Batterystat , network, wlan, etc.)

thx for reply,
The inside memory is to small for installing a ROM and atm i only have the Build-in SD card, the one that is now write protected for a reason...
Because i came from another rom i think it isn't needed for first upgrading my standard version into 2.3.5...?
Best regards
Trust me, it is needed. .35 roms don't work unless you have first installed official 2.3.5.
Buy sdcard and try to install from there.
Try to mound/unmoung sd in cwm and try to install then.
Sent from my u8800 using XDA App
Try first to mount sd card on pc and check it for errors with windows check disk app. I don' t think that the card is damaged. Then you need to put dload folder from 2.3.5 official rom package(instructions are on package' s pdf file) and flash it from bootloader by pressing vol+,vol-,power when device is off.
The SD card isn't damaged , just is write protected now...
Tryed to mount/unmount in CWM but gives an error (because of problem mensioned i think...)
I can buy a new one but i hope it doesn't reaches that point... :x
Put the card in a card reader and mount it on pc. I don' t think that you have problems then.
It is a build-in SD card so i can't reach it... :'(
edit:Just wanted to dl the official 2.3.5 release from Huawei.
But all sites seems to have deleted the file...
Do you have 5.5.0.4 recovery? I had same problem with that.
Try to change your recovery to Genokolars 5.0.2.7 or the official 5.0.2.6 one.
Firstly, you should've updated your base ROM to B522, then flash MIUI. The problem for your case is that the new kernel does not work with the old base.
Here's what you should do:
Flash B522.
Flash CWM.
Flash MIUI.
How can i do this without an sd card that can be written ons?
I Will do this after i found the solution for the SD card problem, then i can copy new files on it...
PS: factory reset also doesn't work because off problems
You change the recovery in PINK SCREEN not in internal sd card.
Change the recovery, then youll be able to access sd, at least I did.

Use another phone or, even a camera. Insert the micro SD to that, connect to USB, make folder dload on the card, copy the update.app into there and do the steps I wrote before.
All already thx for the comments, i just got a new sd card, for the low cost of 8euro i don't bother for more trouble handling with that. So now i'am trying to do everything with my new card.
It was a hard start because it wasn't working well in beginning, i put the files off the first step true pc (in SD holder) and is now installing the new firmware... let's hope that all the rest will go a bit easyer
Thx a lot to all the replyers and specially to Blefish!
Everything is working perfect now!
The only thing i now have to do is search for some nice ring and message tones
Finally i can call and be called again

[Q] A Few Problems.

so i have cm 7.3.0-encore installed and
1) i cant get the android apps to install
2)cm mod( rom manager 4.2.0.2 clockwork mod 3.2.0.1) will not let me updgrade to premium
when i try to download rom it tells me i must upgrade rom manager to latest version and when i press ok i get another box that says "the application ROM Manager process com.koushikdutta.rommanager) has stopped unexpectedly please try again" and when i press ok i get sent bact to the home screen.
3)when i try to reboot into recovery,1) with the sd card in,i get booted to the main cyanogen mod home screen
4) and when i try to install gapps i go into the recovery,/install zip from sd card/choose zip from sd card/confirm install/when it says install complete,i exit out(reboot system now)it goes back to the main nook color screen so i have to power the nook off and back on so it can boot into cm. once back in cm,i dont have any market.
Oh and my software version is 1.2.0
PLEASE HELP!!
As much as I or we want to help you, we are completely lack of info.
Please provide some basic info about your system and what you are trying to do.
1. Where did you get cm7.3.0?
2. On your very last sentence, 1.2.0. What is that?
3. How have you run "which ROM"? from eMMC or uSD?
Those info is a good start to get more help.

3 i have no idea what your talking about.(im hoping your asking wether im running from internal or sd card. if that is the case,im running from the sd card
OK... to help you there are several things we must know... since answers to each can influence the method we need to get things working as they should:
1. Which method did you use to setup your SD? i.e. verygreen's SASD, racks11479 or another method.
2. Which ROM are you having issues with? i.e. CM7 on SD, Stock 1.2 on eMMC
3. What "android apps" are you having issues with? i.e. google apps (gApps) or another specific "android" app... since they are ALL android apps.
If you used verygreen's SASD then you CANNOT use the stanard ROM manager and CWM to install gApps... you have probably screwed up your stock system and installed gApps there... not that it will work... but you are now no longer "stock"
If you can answer these questions and elaborate as to exactly what you have done, and are trying to accomplish, we can provide informed suggestions to you... otherwise we can flood this thread with a TON of solutions that will EVENTUALLY work... but waste lot of time and cause you much frustration along the way.

3) once burned, i put cm7.3.0 encore zip file in the root of the sd card
4) put sd card in nook
5) let the install run
thats pretty much it it will not let me update the rom manger or install gapps
im trying to include pics of my rom manager and settings screens

First off, you are running CM7.0.3, NOT 7.3 since it is not exist.
Secondly, I start following this post of yours. Pls note, whatever you did or have done described in your very first post were totally screw. Don't know who show you that.
Anyway,
Let's put it this way.
1. Your device is NC (NOOKColor)
2. Your NC is running stock ROM version 1.2.0 on eMMC.
3. You want to run CM7.0.3 on external uSD card.
4. You have problem getting Android apps.
Right? OK
1) got a sandisk 16gb micro sd card and fomatted it to fat 32. => good
2) used win image to burn generic sd card image to the sd card.
Ans: I strongly suggest you getting the Win32DiskImager since a lot of members reported having issue with WinImage.
3) once burned, i put cm7.3.0 encore zip file in the root of the sd card.
Again. It is CM7.0.3.
Assume after successfully done creating a bootable uSD using Win32Diskimager, put your cm7.0.3 (or suggesting using CM7.2-RC KANG) into the root folder, where you see those mlo, ramdisk, ... file. It should only 4 files there at this time.
4) put sd card in nook => correct
5) let the install run => it should
6 - after successfully install, it will automatically delete the cm7.0.3 zip file then shutdown.
7 - remove the uSD, put back into PC, download and copy GApps and put it the root folder, same place where you just put the ROM before.

Note: rolling all the way down and select one for CM7, not CM9
8 - remove the uSD off PC, put it back into the NC, power it up
9 - let it boot into CM7 first, do connect to your wifi at this point is a good choice, then reboot and choose reboot into recovery using the menu.
10 - after it boots back into recovery, it will install the GApps now and shutdown again.
11 - reboot and start using.
NOTE: the way I show you above is the easiest way. There are several ways that are so good and too convinience but it's far more advance for newbie. When you get used to the NC, you will find out more.

so i did everything and most of i went as planned until.....
10) i pressed the power button to power off and pressed reboot( i got 3 choices 1-reboot,2-recovery 3-bootloader) i pressed recovery and it rebooted back into cm7. so i powered down the nc,took the sd card out and powered on it went to the stock nc menu. so i re-inserted the sd card and rebooted through the clockwork mod menu, once again it booted into the cm7 without installing gapps, so i once again powered down took out the sd card, powered up.it finnaly booted into recovery so i inserted the sd card(again) went down to "install zip from sd card, choose zip from sd card chose gapps-gb-20110828-signed.zip.installed it said install from sd card complete chose reboot system now. it booted into stock nook.so i powered off and back on into cm7 just to find out GAPPS DID NOT INSTALL. so im at the point where im just gonna get a n2a premade card or something. but i do want to say to say THANK YOU TO EVERYBODY FOR YOUR HELP

Did I just said whatever you did or have done, described on your very first post were screw up?
Why would you do that?
You follow to step 10, you are very close to get it up and running then you continue to do the wrong way. That's why you can't get your NC work.
On which instruction you got that shows you doing the "went down to "install zip from sd card, choose zip from sd card" when you are running CM7 from uSD?
My suggestion, start over again, go slow.
Since using the uSD, why not using the stable CM7.1 or CM7.2 KANG? Get rid of the 7.0.3

U8800 pro serious problem

Ok lets start from the beginning:
I was trying to upade from 2.2.2 official to 2.3 official and now i'm messed up because after the step : "upgrade sd card" my phone restarted and my usb cabel was still on and phone started charging, after that i tried to turn on my phone. It worked but after 20secs my screens freezes and cant do anything even turn off i need to take battery out, also phone not detects my sim card...
Any idea? My phone is rooted, have installed CWM5.0.2.3,but have no backup only public one...But i can't mount usb storage because i get error like "E:Unable to open ums lunfile(no such file or directory)
ANY IDEAS????
I can get to pinkscreen aswell
If you have an external sd card put the public backup there and try to restore via cwm (if you get boot till there). You can also try the update procedure(the dload folder and stuff) but put them in the external sd card! The phone should boot from there.
Anyway, better wait for more answers since I'm not the best in here.I just know how to flash some custom roms.

sorry for dumb question but microsd = external sd? if yes - then i placed the backup in the card but in cwm only phone memory shows no sdcard...
Edit: external i got that
well it actually is an external microsd card
did you manage to restore via cwm?
P.S. if cwm doesn't see your se card go to advaced->reboot into recovery
should be able to see it now

When i do "reboot into recovery" my phone double restarts and 2nd time it turns on normally not into recovery...
Don't know why this is done, but I think we should be happy that your phone isn't bricked
Maybe someone else here can help you and provide better solutions than mine
Have a read through http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1639761.
Has a link in it to how I solved my issue of constant reboots.
Also , since you can load pink screen, you can connect through usb and change your recovery to 5.0.2.7. That's the one i used. Make sure that you have a cust.img file in the "image" folder. That is where the recovery should be too but am guessing you already know that.
If for some reason you dont have cust.img you can find and download a generic version in these forums. Did not need it so I did not bookmark the post I found it in but I think it was the Kalo's Honor Port thread in the pro development section.
