LG Quantum. Relock? - Quantum General

Have the chance to buy a cheap LG Q but its unlocked.
Its there an easy way to get it back to exact factory?

Simple hard reset should do the trick.
It can also be relocked manually. Do a search for "unlocking LG quantum mfg "

I can't find anything looking through google or any of the WP7 forums I read about a boot problem on the LG Quantum. Have you tried calling LG? I know you bought it from eBay, but they may be able to troubleshoot it and may have a way to do a hard reset without it booting all the way up.

[Q] LG Leon 4G bricked

Hello Guys,
yor are my last hope!
I tried to root my device but there was no working way for it.
So i decided to use this guide (http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/root-t-mobile-lg-leon-5-1-1-lollipop-t3194145) to root my phone. I didn't know that this Telekom software is simlocked so i used another guide to unbrick it. Unfortunately it came out that the software i used at this time was the metro pcs version of the stock firmware.
Now i am looking for a working stock firmware cause every german/france software from this pages (http://lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php?id_mod=171) and (http://www.lg-phones.org/category/lg-leon) didn't worked for me.
Every time i tried the 3GCT with Emergency and the cdma with cs_emergency way.
But it always ends in a bootloop with the lg logo and the android symbol then restart and long time LG logo.
I don't understand why Telekom and Metro PCS versions worked but the others don't.
It would be great if you could explain me this.
Greetings
Sven
Hi there! I'm in the same situation. :/ Any help?

Help
Hey guys, I'm a new member so I can't start my own thread so I figured I'd try this out. I bought a LG risio (Leon) off of craigslist and the dude factory reset it when I handed him the cash but now it's asking me for a e-mail or phone number that was previously used with the phone and now I can't get a hold of the guy. Is there any way to get past this situation or am I screwed?
Please don't hate on me for posting this where I did. I just don't have any other options so if someone can help me please do.

This method is USEFUL for your situation & unbricking lg Leon LTE
This method is for ONLY metroPCS
Don't hold me responsible if this method doesn't restore your phone or makes it worse. THERE IS NO WAY TO DOWNGRADE BACK TO ver MS34510B after using this method.
Install
LG United Mobile Driver 3.14.1
LG Flash tool 2014 (build 03/07/2014)
After flash tool installation
1. Remove the battery and put it back in.
2. Hold the Volume Up button (ONLY) while connecting to USB Cable
3. The Volume up button needs to be held until it reaches download mode
4. Open device manager and changed the LGE Mobile USB Serial port to COM 20
5. Open the Flash Tool
6. Select Type: 3GQCT
7. PhoneMode: EMERGENCY
8. KDZ : MS34510D_00.KDZ
9. Click on Normal Flash
10. Click on Clear update registry
11. Country: different country
12. Language: English
13. Click okay and wait for the LG Mobile Support tool to recognize the device. It takes a minute or two but the tool will recognize it. The software starts the extraction and re-boots at %100. You can remove USB cable, your device will boot normally, and the device is no longer stuck in a boot loop.

only the lg g6 h870 international is unlockable via official lg unlock
u misunderstood my question, I only wanted to find the ID of my device in fastboot, not the root process.
Do adb reboot bootloader ,then once in bootloader do fastboot devices, and it should bring up the id
Sent from my MIX using XDA-Developers Legacy app
that's the problem my phone reboots normally but not into fastboot mode when I run those commands, even when I try volume - and power button it goes to factory reset screen and when I went further it reset and booted back normally but not into recovery or fastboot, that's why I was asking is there another way to find it.

LG VS988

How the heck can I unlock the boot loader and when will rooting be possible and who do I contact to make this possible.

LG G6 LS993 to H873 (Possible to flash US997?)

Is there a chance of being able to flash US997 or H870 to the Sprint variant LG G6? I tried US997 from H873 and got stuck in Fastboot. I was able to relfash/upgrade to H870 Oreo after this still. What's so similar with H873 and US993 that allows us to flash between these? I feel like there's a way to get around all this and we're just missing it..
The phone was detected as a US997 phone but did not boot. OEM Unlock was checked prior, along with USB Debugging if that helps any.
Feel free to comment what you've tried and why you think this will or will not work.
*Currently on H873 Oreo with Wifi/Sim working.
H870 also stuck in fastboot?

I think that the US997 firmware is incomplete. Most KDZ at https://lg-firmwares.com are around 2.42-2.7 GB in size, yet other G6 KDZ are 3.07-3.66 GB in size. This could be causing the H873 and H870 to get stuck in fastboot mode due to an incomplete US997 partition map. I flashed an AT&T H871 straight to US997 without issue, and a VS987 straight to US997 without issue. When I flashed the H871 with the H873 KDZ, then back to US997, the fastboot bootloop began (factory resetting does not fix).

You need to restart your phone by holding the buttons (volume down and power) and when turned on, it will boot into download mode (the cable must be inserted into the PC and the phone, the volume button is clamped up). Then you need flash you phone with partition dl to H873.
H870 working too except network and wifi (wrong modem). Maybe working with H873 modem (i'm not trying)

My phone is not permanently bricked. I can always escape fastboot with a restart and immediately after enter download mode and flash H873 KDZ. The problem is I want US997 on it to get VoLTE and better battery life. Just want to possibly find a fix to get US997 booting on an H873.

This will not work out, because the us997 model has a larger system partition than the h873. And because of this, after the flash, the phone is downloaded to the FASTBOOT because the system partition is damaged. Therefore, you must first change the gpt table because LG UP not changed it. But with root rights it is possible(https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g6/help/request-backup-gpt-table-unlocked-us997-t3860123).

Yeah the GPT partitions probably aren't being property written (old ones are left in even after flashing) and it switches system with the bootloader (abl/aboot) partition. Probably a jtag box like the Octoplus or Medusa Box can fix this with their custom firmware. Also download mode screen on the phone is stops at 98% and doesn't complete when flashing US997.

I'm in a similar situation, did you ever solve your problem? At this point I'd just like to get back to booting the original Sprint LS993 8.0 ROM. I had previously flashed the H873 8.0 ROM on top of the LS993 with the model fake I found elsewhere (which I can't seem to find now). I just tried loading the US997 9.0 ROM just today as well and it was asking for an unlock.bin file which I don't have ... cause the LS993 AND the H873 are not supported for unlocking by LG. Now the phone seems to be permanently stuck in Fastboot after what seemed like a successful flash of US997 using LGUP. No button combinations will make it do anything else, though having said that it will act like it will do a factory erase with vol-down and power-down quick power-up then down again. I think I may have bricked the thing, hate that. I'm hoping you or someone else has figured out a fix. Thanks.
If I've really bricked it just tell me that so I can throw it out and not worry about it any longer.

I only solved this problem on a different phone (LG V30). The US998 Pie update and the VS996 Pie update seemed to brick phones at the LG V30 screen or on the Boot Animation screen. This seemed to be only and issue with phones that have been crossflashed in the past. I only solved this by creating a partition backup .SRF (in Qualcomm 9008 QDLoader mode) with Octoplus JTAG tool from a working Sprint LS998 -> US998 Pie Crosssflash. I then flashed that backup onto the faulty bootlooping phones and this fixed the issue. Flashing several KDZs and even flashing zips did not help here, it seems we need to rebuild or copy the partition table from a working device.
The issue now is how to enter the Qualcomm 9008 mode, as there doesn't seem to be a power button shuffling method to enter it on older SDM821 chips. The only way would be to buy a USB cable that shorts the device, manually open the device and try to short it, or flash a bad partition like abl or tz from T-Mobile firmware which will brick the phone into 9008 mode. We need a genuine factory US997 for donor firmware, and a recipient H871, H873, or LS993.
At this point, it seems to cumbersome to even try this, as LG has left behind the US997 and there is no Pie update in sight for it.
