Hi guys, i seem to have missed out my unlocking my DHD after eng s-offing and flashing custom radio and ROM.
Cant remember exactly the process i followed but i wanna upgrade to LeeDrOiD's GB ROM tomorrow and want to make sure i can use other sims after that. Is there now a one stop tool that will just give me SimUnlock? Im tied to TMob UK at this stage.

Go to 1.32.405.6, use nand backup if you have one, or use Raidroid ROM, search for it. Then use my radio s-off tool to do SimUnlock. You also have to go back to the older radio for the tool to work.

I have a 32B Magic, MyTouch 3G with "Radio-2.22.19.261" och SPL "HBOOT-1.33.2004 (SAPP30000)". I have RA-dream-v1.4.0 as Recovery Image.
Of course I wanted the latest things in the business, i.e radio and SPL.
I am running a Hero ROM at the moment and are thinking about flashing my phone with Eugenes latest android 2.1 Hero ROM.
My question is: which radio and SPL should I flash? I don't want to pick the wrong one and brick my phone, so I am asking you guys.
You dont need to flash either, the radio and spl you have on your phone are
fine, the only time you need to flash you readio is if you want fully functional
bluetooth when using a hero image.
Upgrading either will not give you a performance increase, it is not like the
windows mobile scene where there are loads of different radios and some
work better than others.
I think that the radio you have is the only one available for 32B devices at
the moment, i wouldnt recomend flashing a radio or spl from a 32A device
to your phone as you could brick your device.

One ROM that looks abit interesting says you need "Haykuro Death SPL" flashed to your device - is it only for Dream, or do I have to flash it to my 32B Magic?

Currently, i'm facing a curious issue. I've tried various rom version to migrate into version 1.6 or 2.1

None of them work. The phone reboot and i'm stuck at the hTC boot screen and nothing else. My phone is not bricked because if i install a version 1.5, it works perfrectly.

... as mentioned in my post, i've done the downgrade to SPL 1.76.2007
where this SPL version is not perfected. This explains also why i can fastboot.... but can't flash any rom above 1.5. So i do not understand what i do wrong.
Is these something special to execute ?

yes, you've writed that you've done downgarde then done RUU which have PerfectSPL.
And as for now there is no back from PerfectSPL 1.76 - if you done it then that's it. Finito. No love.
Wait either for official 2.x ROM or for some hack to 1.76Perfect.

Sorry if i've been misleading.
I've done an upgrade using the RUU then i've done a downgrade as explained in the thread.
In fastboot mode, my phone does give a radio 6.35.... and SPL 1.76.2007.
Are you suggesting that even if the phone reports 1.76.2007, i'm blocked and can't do any upgrade ??

Are you doing a full wipe including dalvik and all that stuff before going up again? I've had no problem switching ROM's on 1.76.2007.

that radio and spl has very few stable roms available, u hav to make sure that the rom u are flashing is compatible with that radio and spl, else the rom wont start and the phone will reboot.......

Well sorry for the stupid question but since you wiped and everything should be fine with that radio/spl and rom.
Do you have patience enough to let the rom get going, these newer cooked roms can take quite a while before they start the first time.
Another question: What recovery do you use?

Sorry but my version was 1.76.0008 and i did have the rom with SU so i have been able to flash another recovery rom and another spl afterwards.

QMAt is a goldcard if i'm not mistaken.Yes, i've tried everything.
QMAT is farrrr more than a goldcard, it can create goldcards, yes, (but only supports HD2 in the paid version) however with hspl and/or stock roms there should be no need at all for goldcard (though i havent read the thread you linked to)

sure does. You will need to buy qmat, and you will also need a working win mo phone to get the cards unigue serial, unless you are lucky enough to have a card reader that ISN'T connected to a USB header. (Some laptops are like this, many arent)
will this void my t-mobile hd2 warranty?
do i need Hspl or not to flash the stock rom using qmat.Or do i use hspl only when i flash custom rom like normal.
how could it? if it works, it will be a stock rom, so no problem there.
The goldcard itsel;f leaves no trace that it has been there, , think of it as HSPL on a card, except that with the real hspl it leaves itself on your phone, with goldcard it doesnt.

i was wondering if with this version i can use any update or i have to use one specifically?
i buy this in venezuela im not sure about using roger's version i dont want screw up mi phone.

Using a goldcard you should be able to flash the rogers RUU...
But better yet, you should root and get custom recovery...
From there you could flash a modified Rogers rom... like the one from capychimp in the development section.
Hello guys, I got htc magic 32A from a year and a half. During this time I have updated the firmware 2 times.The first time was successful but the second was a complete disaster The first time I updated the firmware to 2.2.1 .I was staying with this ROM about three months, after that I decided to update the ROM to 2.3…We all know that to make this step I had to retool the RADIO.Through the process I had a few problems and I had to move to the stock firmware 1.6 .
So…my question is there a way to update the radio and the SPL (if it’s needed)
My current RADIO is 6.35.08.29
Current SPL 1.76.0009
What ROM do you have now?

1.6 stock ROM , like I said I had few problems so i had to move to this ROM.

1. Get root
2. Install recovery 1.6.2 patched by cursordroid
3. Via recovery install hboot 1.76.2007 S-OFF
4. If you want, you can choose any radio 6.35.XX.XX (install via fastboot)
5. Install custom rom (that marked with tags [32A][6.35], [NewRadio])
be carefull with that i bricked obes a htc magic with that because i was not carefull
I suggest you use the following link fastbootcommander to exchange radio and spl your phone. Note that for this, you need to have root and spl-off. The use of the program is simple, you just see what the spl and radio rom you want to put needs, go to the Magic tab 32A and put new flash or flash old 6:35 3:22. Any questions we're here.
