Best Weather App for p500 - Optimus One, P500, V Themes and Apps

Hey guys I'm from Romania so I am especially interested in weather apps that give good forecasts for Romania. Users from other countries are invited to discuss about the various apps too.
I'm mostly interested in an app that gives readings for different hours of the day.
It doesn't matter if the app is buy only , as long as it doesn't cost over 10 euros ofc

My suggestions are:
- MyWeather or WeatherBug if you are an information junkie. They give a lot of info. WeatherBug also has an elite version.
- GoWeather if you want a simple weather app that updates every few hours.
They are free so you can try them out.
I've also been looking for a solution. I'll follow this thread for other suggestions.

Well after using a lot of apps of this kind i think i found the perfect one for me:
WMD-weather light, free app but there is also a paid version. Try it out
becosemsaida

I'm using the weather widget from Beautiful Widgets and it works like a charm, it's very accurate when using the accuweather weather service, google weather service is not so accurate.
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.levelup.beautifulwidgets&feature=top-paid

A friend made an app that takes its info from INMH, which I'm currently using... It's simple and to the point, and as accurate as INMH's predictions are.
I'll ask him on Monday if it's ok to share it or if he will launch it on the market soon.

No lags at all. But I use zeam launcher more. Its very simple..

Try TheWeatherChannel, I like it because it has a statusbar icon with the temperature.

Which ones give readings for different hours of the day?
I'm looking for it too...

Weather/News Widget

What's your favorite? I was using "Android Apps' Weather Widget Forecast", but I do like the detail of the stock app.
I have seen some nice ones in pictures of the N1 so what's all out there that seems to work for you? I'm not very entertained by FB widgets.
My stock weather doesn't work anymore. Sliding the time doesn't update the forecast. Thinking this is a data service issue cost I changed roms and no fix. New Zealand.
Beautiful weather widgets home widget has got my vote.

Weatherbug's free once isn't bad, you have the ads that run, but they have a large and small version. I use the large on on it's own screen. Plus, it has plethora of cities to choose from/locations compared to the stock one.

Pretty neat. They have the one very similar to the one I was using before but I REALLY like the one that is sort of a mix between the stock app and that.
Going to give it a try. Thanks!

Weather App For Dell Streak?

I noticed there is no weather app included with the streak.
Where can I get the EXACT same or even better weather app like on the HTC HD2 or the HTC Desire?
I looked yesterday in the marketplace for weather apps and there was nothing at all, just skins or different icons...

I found a MUCH better program that worked for me!
It's called beautiful widgets. It's amazing and much better than the stock ones for the htc devices.
It's graphically much better and is much more accurate, try it out. You even get to change the look of your clock and can even download hundreds of others.

That doesn't work for me neither. It's just not displayed correctly...
I'm using beautiful widgets. Awesome weather program for our streaks! When you tap the widget, it fills the entire screen with a gorgeous weather animation that encompasses the entire screen. Well worth the $2 Thanks for the tip kanej!

I just got Beautiful Widget yesterday and its lovely. Yes I had to pay 1.78 Euros for it but well worth it. Might be an alternative if you can't get yours working.
You may need to go to the fancy widget config screen and uncheck the location box at the top and then 'set location'
Will no longer be greyed out. Set ur location and it should work. Did for me neway . . . .

Can someone post a video of beautiful widget running on their x10? I want to buy it based on what everyone is saying but I don't know much about how it actually looks
To be fair its a bit pointless showing you any pics of it cos its soooo skin-able that it would take 100's of shots to show you.
Its 4 colums wide and two deep, you have large clock display, day, date temperature and picture of the weather. The clock can be either in its own box with background or a see thru one so it sits over your wall paper nicely (which is what I have got!) The clock font and colour is hugely changeable, you just download more skins to your phone - free once you've made the initial purchase. The weather pictures probably have a dozen different settings. The text colour for the day date bit is entirely your choice.
It is 'beautiful' and for under £2 its pretty darn cheap for what you get.

Thanks for the great description
But with the imminent update to 2.1, is there any point in getting it now? We can just use the weather live wallpaper
Imminent do you know something we dont? Lol. Hadn't thought about that, but I'm kind of bad at waiting for stuff when I decide I want it. Typical impatient woman!

Perfect rom for you?

I'm about to cook again, and i'm somehow lost in what to include to somehow satisfy as many people as possible. I've stopped cooking for nearly one month, and i guess there are many new things out there. I'm going to take a look at the forums, but i think it's much more accurate if i ask people for their own opinion.
So here are the questions (i know there are many questions, so just answer some if you want, thanks) :
Which tweaks do you want to have pre-installed in the rom?
What kernel do you prefer?
What apps do you think are essential?
Any system apps you'd like to get rid of?
What theme would you prefer (must be the theme of an android phone, since i'm not good at drawing, only porting themes from other phones)? Also include please if you would like 9 ls, extended power menu, overscroll glow etc... Thanks
Any ported apps from other phones like sgs ii, sns that you'd like pre-installed?
Any other things?
What launcher?
So it's basically a query to find out what most users want in the rom.
There'll be addon packs also.
Thanks in advance
Regarding kernels my favourites are semaphore and talon.
TW3 works better than TW4.
I like redmanner stock theme.
Juwe ram script.

This guy said already all the important things. I took GingerReal 7.1.2 and i've been happy with it. Kernel mainly controls smoothness and quickness, but scripts and other tweak **** does nice things too.
I would have taken Talon 0.4.1 but for me it wasn't as much undervoltable as 0.3.1 or semaphore and 0.3.1 was for JVP, for now i will stick with semaphore 1.3.1
And as what comes to launcher, take spb shell 3d. You won't regret it, i didn't have much money at the time but 10€ for the launcher was well worth it, i haven't used ANY other launcher after 3 months.
And i have paid for launcherpro plus, but haven't even tried it after i bought spb shell 3d
I too like redmaners theme.i also like hardcores kernal.if you were to include a launcher I would use go ex launcher imho its the best free one, no way I would spend 10€ for spb total rip off, yes it looks good but 10€ ?for a launcher, lmfao.

Have used every Rom out there for galaxy s. I think presently gingerreal by redmaner stands out. It scores highly on all key fundamental requirements like speed coupled with stability and a very impressive battery life to backup a powerful phone.
I don't have the lagfix on and the speed of my phone actually surprises me.
Sent using XDA mobile app. PLEASE SAY THANKS IF I WAS OF ANY HELP
Ah! Forgot to mention you might want to use adw launcher. Once customized properly it beats all others hands down. But the key is to understand its customizations.

And use faster fix to make your gps work better. Mine works great but I have not tested it in city environment where high rises make it much more difficult

Good for you.
Who would have paid 500€ for a samsung galaxy S when you can get with 20€ normal cheap but good for phone calling phone? Exact same reason why you would get spb shell 3d! But, it's your choice...
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA Premium App
Theme: Samsung Galaxy s2
Kernel: anything stable-less ram and less wireless problems
Overglow scroll is a must and has to be in the same color
most feature i want: Stability, less FCs and restarts
lets see
- instant access to phone call
- instant access to phone book
- instant access call and endcall
- instant scroll to menu
- file explorer instant without lag
- and battery life (i cant call more than 4-5 hours with full signal edge, and the screen of, i dont belive we need 1000mhz to do this task)
- camera a litle faster (nokia n8 record with 12mbps)
- office its a must
and it must run better than xxjvq

Anyone using GO Locker?

Is anyone using GO Locker? I used to use it before but I had noticed it likes to eat battery. I'm not sure if they have improved it now so I am wondering what other user's thought are on it. Its tempting to install it again because I'm seeing some really great themes for it, but I dont want it eating away at the battery life again.
Have you tried WidgetLocker? Is a hundred times better IMO.

using it along with DS prefinal lite battery seems good... but, please give some note of what u need in terms of time and usage so more people could help,
also you can install see for yourself and in case it doesn't pen out install something else, also very nice themes espically the 3D worm... "fruit ninja" locker

Is that the paid for one or the free one?
I tried one other very popular one (forget the name) but I also found that it consumed a bunch of battery
Again, that might be from me trying it out a while ago and now they have improved the battery consumption
It is a paid app but worth every cent. The level of customization is far more that any lockscreen apps out there and hundreds of lockscreen to chose from.
