Shifted on my Mik BETA G powered Shift from neverland using XDA Premium App

I wonder if it will make it in time for the evo 3d
Sent from my PG06100 using XDA App

So glad to hear this, I really am thinkin about goin evo 3D anyone else?
Sent from your Mom's Jitterbug

Way to go HTC!

From what I've heard the 3d may be locked down
Sent from my PG06100 using XDA App

I think it's too close to release for the evo 3d to be changed, or at least that will be their excuse I'm sure. They built it into the hardware after all.
Sent from my PG06100 using XDA App

wow didn't know it was a hardware thing, that would really cripple the sales for devs and ppl like me who like full access to everything in the phone. I hope they can unlock it through a software update.
Sent from your Mom's Jitterbug

The cryptography and sign checking is supposedly built in to hardware. If the software can tell the hardware to ignore it, then maybe... But that may or may not be possible.

This is making me appreciate my shift even more
Sent from my PG06100 using XDA App

I believe they confirmed in emails that the Evo3D will be unlocked.

Right on. Thinking about getting one for my mom. Got her a Samsung moment awhile back....what a piece of ****. Is there a root method yet for the shift?
Thanks in advance.

Windows phone update

Apparently, the next update is on hold due to getting all handsets to function properly once it's installed. Sound familiar?
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
Sounds like just about every software update since Ever...
Texted while driving
ya, think I 'd have to agree. Since when isn't that the case for all updates?
Just saying that it's not the fragmentation versus closed system problem everyone pretends it is. Either one phone waits or everyone waits. I'd rather gamble on getting it late rather than not at all if one phone can't hack it.

That after 1 year and 3 months not one phone has come along to make me leave my evo. To be honest I've never had a phone this long, and to still be happy with it. That's why I think its amazing.
Sent from my PC36100 using xda premium
I do wish we were getting the galaxy nexus with ice cream sandwich, but it will be interesting to see what our devs will do with it on our evos!!!
Sent from my PC36100 using xda premium
I agree. But if the new galaxy nexus makes its way to sprint I'm jumping ship in a heatbeat haha

I'm going to be very happy with ICS on my Evo when it lands in a few months. The phone is amazing and does everything I want it to.
Only a matter of time before an ICS ROM is developed for the 4G. Element are already popping up.
Still loving my og evo but can't wait to see what the devs can do with ics

Rooting Service

I figure to keep people from posting threads after threads saying "please help I bricked my epic" I figured it be easier to have someone do it for them. Since I have plenty of time I figured I do this. If you would like me to root your device simply pm and I will give you instructions on how I will remotely control your pc (if I do it remotely then make sure you have a nonstock usb cable for example a blackberry micro usb) or you can send it to me. If you send via ups etc then you'll be paying for back and forth.*Disclaimer*if anything happens which more than likely WON'T its not my fault BUT will try my best to fix it.
I doubt this will take off but why not put it out there.
* Now know how to root the LG Optimus S, Samsung Transform, and the Evo * spread the word...

To save you some time, to root Evo, you'll use a web tool called revolutionary. Website is revolutionary.io.

Thanks! Do I need the EVO connected (like the Epic) for the drivers to install correctly? I may try to set it up on her laptop so she can root her Mom's phone when she gets there.

EVO LTE

How long do you think it will take before the new EVO will be able to be rooted.. I'm thinking of pre order.. also do you think it will be worth the hype
Sent from my PC36100 using xda premium
Who knows about the time line, but where there's a will there's a way. As to the question of it will be worth the hype I certainly hope so
