Something Weird Just happened... - Huawei Ideos X5 U8800

So I started writing this post as I though my phone was bricked. Anyway the story:
So, I'm calibrating my battery. Battery was totally flat so I plugged into AC. Was working on assignments and watching TV for about 40mins answer phone call talk for 10mins (still plugged in) go watch TV for about 30mins come back, all the button lights are on. WEIRD. Red led Flashing. WEIRD. Press power to unlock. Nothing. Press power again nothing. Hold Power nothing. Power + Vol = Nothing. Oh sh!t. take out power, lights go off. Try to power on as before = nothing. Oh crap what now? Take out battery, sim and sd. Replace battery after 15 secs. Power on nothing. Plug in lights come on again. Power = nothing. Eventually after stressing out for a little while and repeatedly unplugging and plugging in. It booted into charging mode. and now weirdly all my GO widgets (and only the GO widgets, not facebook, etc) are gone WTF is going on.

this is so weird that no one has experience....

I just had a similar experience. I was charging my Ideos x5 on front usb connector of an old computer. I guess it didn't had enough voltage because the phone suddenly went dead. And than ... led blinking red and softbuttons started glowing on and off. When plugged in normal charger for a couple of minutes, the led changed colour to normal and there was a picture of battery on the screen.

Hero powering on when plugged into outlet to charge

So yeah... like the title says, I'm having trouble charging. Basically I plug the phone in (powered off), and it will turn back on. I turn it off with it still plugged in, and it powers back up. Also, if I turn the phone upside down (screen facing down), the orange/red charging light goes off, but turns back on when it's right-side up again. I'm VERY confused with this... Would this constitute an exchange at the Sprint store?
its haunted. Boo~~~!!!!!!
my hero does the same thing and i dont think there is anything wrong with it

Are you sure you are powering off, or are you putting your phone to sleep? There's a difference.
On mine, if I physically power off the phone (hold the red button down for about a couple of seconds and select Power Off), then the phone will not turn on when I plug in a charger (or sync cable).
However, if I simply push the red button without holding it for two seconds, the screen simply turns off (I put the phone to sleep). When I plug in my charger (or sync cable), the screen will turn on (the phone wakes up).
Just in case you really are powering it off. There is a built in awake interrupt set to monitor power connect. To manually activate it connect , disconnect, connect, ( fast ) the power cord to the phone. It should boot. So if it's doing it then your power application to the charger, is noisy. Get a zero crossing switched power strip and use it's switch to power on the charger.
Mine has always booted back after I plug it in if the battery dies or I power off intentionally for some unknown reason. I didn't realize people intentionally turn their phones off any more.

Red LED of death

Hey guys, today, whilst streaming music via bluetooth and connected to data, my phone suddenly froze and then turned off out of nowhere.
I'm running Franco kernel M1 and Paranoid Android March 18th or 21st build.
When not plugged in, attempts to turn it on by holding down the power button, or the power button + vol down, have completely no response - phone stays off and nothing happens.
When plugged in to a computer or to a power outlet, holding down power button or power button+ vol down, after approx 10 seconds, starts the LED flashing red. The flashing is erratic, and goes from steady to quick to steady again, etc. No charging symbols/google logos ever come up; screen is always blank.
I'm really worried my phone is bricked, any thoughts? Stock Franco voltage and clock settings.
You need to open the back of your phone up with a t5 screwdriver I think it is. Then unplug your battery and plug it back in. Or some people have left it plugged in over note and it turned back on. But a lot of success with the unplugging that battery method

Please also considering to use the official charger.
Don't worry, it's not bricked.

Don't worry.. Nowadays is even more and more difficult to brick a device..
As DownTownJeffBrown said, the most effective method is to unplug-plug the battery
Just experienced this red led of death this morning. Tried to launch bootloader which connected to my charger and the led just blinks red. After disconnecting charger, bootloader runs normal

Nexus 4 Red light Problem

Hey, my Nexus 4 died a month ago. i have tried many things from the internet, and none of them worked.
When i'm holding the volume down + power button, and inserting the USB cable, the red light is coming up, and it's Solid Red Light, and after about 10-15 second, it disappear. i sent it to one private lab, and they didn't succeed to fix it.
what can i do??
*Note: i'm going to give the device to another Lab - but i still want to hear you people
Simulate a battery pull by holding volume UP and power button simultaneously for one minute, see if that helps get you back running to the point you can at least charge it up and factory reset.
I've had the Red light of dead yesterday because i had critical battery level and didnt charge
I responsed immediately and pressed volume down + power and it entered

And then connected the charger and pressed power button again to select START
It booted and started charging

I know this proccess, but it's not working for me!
I don't know any other fixes. New battery? :/

[Q] Won't power on

My N4 won't power on, at all. I've tried doing the fix where you hold power and volume down and plug it in, and it'll go to recovery, the Google sign, then it'll power off and flash a single red light before going dead again. When I plug it in, without touching any buttons, one red light flashes then nothing else happens. Oh, and I've kept it charging for 2 hours and nothing different has happened. What's up with it? Did I brick my advice?

ASUS_X00TDB While using suddenly screen goes blank and just blinks nonstop

Please help I was using my phone when the screen suddenly goes off but the phone is on, the screen is blinking (lights up and off) continuously but it stays blank. I can open and close the screen by clicking the power button as you would normally do if you're checking the time on your phone. I tried pressing the power button for more than 15 seconds; tried the volume down + power button for more than 15 seconds, and tried the volume up + power button combinations. I tried it while it was connected to the charger and I also tried it without connecting to the charger. All it does is restart/boot my phone I know because it vibrates, but no logo, no display of the battery charging, but the notification light turns red when connected meaning it is charging. I can connect it to the computer also and it displays my device's model. But all in all the screen just stays blank and just keeps blinking (like lighting up and down). The phone wasn't dropped and it did not get wet by any liquid substance, when it happened the battery is up to 87% and I left the screen off for 4 hours before using it then it happened. I am out of solutions as I can't also reset it as there is no display even the logo and battery charging display are gone. But I know it is alive because I can turn it on and off and connect to the charger and pc. If anyone knows or can diagnose the root of the problem it can lessen my worries and maybe just resort to bringing this to a cellphone repair shop. Thank you. TT____TT
