[Q] 1% Battery in Status Bar - Bravo General

bandroidx and I have been looking at this without much success so far. Anyone know how to get the system and thus OS to read 1% battery increments? The information exists on the phone, at least in /sys/class/power_supply/battery/charge_counter but I'm not sure how to get the status bar/system to update with that information. I've checked framework-res.apk XML files and the icons are there with my theme if the system would report 1% increments.
Any ideas?

I've wanted this since I got the phone. I never really saw the point in the large increments.

Might want to reach out to some of the Droid developers. Many roms on their phones show the 1% increment when the phone doesn't when its stock. I've seen most Moto phones are like that. Maybe they know what can help.

All you have to do is edit the the stat_sys_battery.xml and the stat_sys_battery_charge.xml. Then you have to create 100 (or however many increments you want) battery icons (.pngs). Look at the decompiled xmls and the framework-res.apk from a rom with 1% increments.

Minimalistic text can report battery by 1% intervals on bravo. Maybe get in touch with the dev of that?

I already looked at those, I've got files and icons for it, the problem is that whatever value the system uses to determine what file to show only goes in 10% increments.

did you try system apk some of the apk affect status bar

info from the battery
I have a battery monitor widget app on my bravo(stock ROM) that reports 1% increments, but it doesn't show up in the status bar.

You will have to copy and paste, cause I haven't posted enough. But I will fix that soon.

Just have to edit XML file in frameworkres to match the lib androidserver.so

[Q] How to get current battery level?

Hi,
Do you guys know if battery icon next to the clock can show current battery level in %? I was wondering if that is possible, it was it in windows mobile.
Regards,
ncc74656
I use Battery Indicator Pro for that. Adds another icon in notification area showing %. Remember that MS will not report anything other than 10% increments.
motocharge app can show you the exact percentage

it doesn't give the percent in the battery icon but in the status bar...
To get battery percentage in the battery icon, you have to edit the framework. I don't know how that works, but I do know it's related to the framework.
Specific themes have the percentage in the battery icon.

yes I know that, I've tried to do it with uot kitchen but after restart, I've got closing apps errors. Even with argent2stone rom
I think it's because ms2 give ranges by 10% and uot gives all percents.
sorry for my english
Motocharge is quite nice. Is it possible to disable original battery indicator?

[Request] Battery in notification bar shows 1% increments

im sorry if this is in the wrong section pls move it.
would it be possible to make the battery icon in the notification bar show 1% increments?
i know there are a few apps out there that can do this(im using battery monitor widget) but i would like to just have it on the notification bar without having to use an app.
If u do a search you'll find out that out that it s not possible.
Limited by hardware
I think there is an app/widget out there that estimates the battery percentage from the voltage (i.e. 3400 mV = xx%), someone would have to hack it at the android OS level to get that same estimation in the battery indicator

ive found 3 apps will show 1% but i dont want to have to install a seperate app.

Looking for Recent Apps(Notification Pulldown) And Battery Percentage

Hi, Im using this rom http:// forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1194955. The only two things that i need that is missing is the Recent Apps(Notification pulldown bar) and battery percentage.
I've tried using the one in the stickied post but still not seeing any %. I would modify the framework-res.apk, but do not know how to do it.
Anyone can help me find or modify the apk(attached), and also the recent apps thing.
Thanks Alot.
*ps need CWM update if possible.
The recent apps notification pulldown should be there since its a sense build.Maybe u should try installing the build again or wait for an update. For the battery percentage framework however, it differs from every build and a new one has to be made for every version. So, even if you do know how to modify the framework, you will have to do it everytime an update comes around. Anyway, i know of a member who knows how to modify the framework for the battery percentage(esp the circular one). You might wanna try asking him (http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=1230404). Hope this helps!

[Q] Defy+ 1% battery?

I have a Defy+ running stock UK retail 2.3.4. I'd like to get the battery icon in the status bar showing 1% increments, like my Defy running MS2Ginger 2.1 does. Does anyone know how this can be done without running a custom ROM? I want to keep the phone as close to stock as possible for the moment.
I know I'll also need a theme which displays 1% increments in the battery icon. That's already sorted thanks to the UOT Kitchen.
TIA
[Note: I don't want an app which puts another icon on the status bar!]
ted thanks to the UOT Kitche

without rooting or installing an app i dont think it is possible coz what u are asking is editing system file .. which cant be done other wise ..
The phone is rooted. I don't mind installing an app, but I don't want to end up with another battery icon - the one in the normal place in the status bar is all I need!

CM7 Battery Percentage Icon

Is there any mod to get the battery percentage with the icon? I searched the forum here but the only mods I found were for other phones, so they wouldn't work...right? It's not a BIG thing, but would be nice to have it. Thanks.
go to settings>cm stettings>interface>status bar tweaks and set battery status style to percentage. you may have to cycle between icon and percentage a couple of times to get numbers with a little battery strip.
Otherwise break out your rom install zip, pull out the framework.apk and systemui.apk files and have fun in uot android kitchen.
Thanks PaulMilbank. I did that and even though it's really easy to use UOT kitchen, I thought I'd post it here in case someone else wants it also. In the attachment is the default android battery meter with the percentage written in the middle.
In my experience I noticed there were some "blind spots", where the percentage doesn't show, namely at 100%, 75%, 50%, and 25%. I don't know why this happens or if it will happen to you. Anyways, you can always make your own mod "in the kitchen". Enjoy .
