Fastest D2 Rom availible? - Droid 2 General

Hello,
I would like to know what the fastest or newest rom is for the Droid 2. Could you also point me to a list of all Roms compatible with the D2?
Thanks!!

D2 roms are all based on the same system, except tanzanite, which has the most potential but is discontinued, and at this point not very capable. The stock gb leak is at this point my personal favorite.

What made this tanzanite rom different?

Try the apex 2.0 beta. It can be found at www.fabdroid.com

I would recommend Liberty GB. Super fast and super smooth.

Cm 7.2

What are the most popular or stable cm7.2 ROMs? Or is there actually only one cm ROM available?
I'm on 7.1 and I forgot how i flashed and all that stuff, so, I'm trying to get up to date and cm9 appears not to be daily driver ready yet?
Thanks everyone.

I've had an excellent experience with the MiRaGe Kang build:

It's fast, smooth, and stable.
Are you running it on sd card ?

As mentioned in many other similar topics, CM7 offers the maximum satisfaction in all aspects, but CM9 can be used as daily system too as it offers almost everything apart the hardware acceleration.
Better try and judge yourself. You could even make a Dual boot sdcard to get the most of the 2 systems.
Produced by NookColor at ICS AOKP 4.0.4
Sounds good. Thank you.

There's a stable cm7.2. Rom you can download at the cyanogen mod download site. I run that off an SD card, and its great

Droid 2 Noob

Hi all, my mom will be getting a new Droid 2 soon that she'll be using on a page plus prepaid plan and I just have a few questions. I know that there is a lot of information here of the forums but things change so often with development that I think I'll get a better answer if I just ask you experinced guys directly.
I'm just looking for the most stable ROM for her, and the best battery life. It doesn't have to be the newest and greatest, it just has to work when she needs it so that she doesn't get irritated with it.
Thanks in advance.
Just stick with stock if she's inexperienced.

Will stock run smooth enough with out any freezing?
It came today and it had 2.2, I think i'll update it to 2.3 though.
It works for the 95% of the users who don't get pissed off enough to come here and change it
.sbf to the second-to latest firmware. If you OTA, you'll end up with the latest, un-rootable update, making any future development impossible.

latest update 2.3.4/4.5.621 is rootable

On your question about most stable Roms, Galnet MIUI 2.2.10 was the best I've used as far as being issueless. Just behind that would be CM9.
If you do decide to flash MIUI you'll probably want to install a different launcher for her as well if she's used to Android and not looking for a change. Otherwise just let her run with it and see how she likes it.
