If you're talking about renaming the directory linux to something else.... why not just leave it named the way it's suppose to be named, that's why it's rebooting..... you might be able to change startup.txt lines to match the new directory name... I'm not sure if that will fix it or not.... I don't currently have winmo on right now to try.....

Hi Guys,
im having the same kinda problem here - all the stuff is in the linux folder on the root of the card, at the end of the booting sequence it says "rebooting in 5 seconds" and re boots.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this??
thanks in advance!!

which build are you using?
Some builds need to be in a folder called "ubuntu" on root of sd card.

build: 2.6.32
R 2.08.50.05
G 15.34.50.07u
D 1.72.82.124
thanks

Multiple boots Android/Linux on one SDcard? Possible?!!

Dear all developers, cookers, testers and all Leo-Andro guys here. Thank you very much for all of your efforts to make HD2 so fun.
My idea is we have a lot of Builds here that I love them much namely:
[BUILD] [26.07.2010] [darkstone HD2Froyo v1] now with GPS work via new sys.ext2 perfect for me with cool battery, low drain and high quality call and so smoothly.
[BUILD] [30.07.2010][mattc Leo + Froyo w/Sense RC1.3a] with SENSE very brilliant build.
The problem is it possible to have triple boot or more with out change new SD card.
That means we may put some difference builds in differ Android folders in SD card and a good boot loader may scan those folder and asking you to select your favorite build.
The other thing is we may seen some files in the root of SD card and difference build can confuse when access them. Is possible to put all file of each Build in their own folders ONLY?
Thank you all Leo-Andro guys again.

Good idea!
The easiest solution would be to MANUALLY assign specific folders from out WinMo, which then links to a program to select on these folders to boot.
/storage/android1
/storage/android2
/storage/android3
Then from a boot-select screen you just select one of the folders to boot. Shouldn't be that hard to do.
Maybe Partition SD card??? that might work won't it?

treats each folder as a partition
triple boot is a fantastic idea
for example JMZ Android triple-boot
WinMo - android - ubuntu
I'm already Quad Booting... for the last 2 weeks
Just use Exceller's Android Loader
so if im reading right, we can just do the folder hierarchy and we can run different android builds off the same sd card????

Yes... that's what I've been doing... just make sure to edit your startup.txt in each folder where your build resides.

Exceller's dual boot has been doing this already. You can choose whatever build you have on your sdcard and even boot ubuntu.

Just add the rel_path=foldername to cmd in between the "" don't remove the lpj thingy
It will look like this:
cmd "rel_path=foldername lpj... "
Sent from my HD2 Froyo

[Q] SOMETHING is missing!!!

Hi guys, i have more then 2 weeks trying to load android on my hd2 and always fail....i tried differents android rooms following the steps.. "from the android folder run CLRAD then Haret" but when is booting always shows this...( failed to find rootfs on sd card..you need to unzip a rootfs ) so i started over everything again but still the same... this is what i got in my phone
R 2.15.50
G15.42.50
D 3.14.04666 8G
and i'm using chukydroid room ...so please somebody can really help me with this ..i'm afraid that my phone get damage and I could never use it!!!
Thanks a lot
What android build are you using?
All you do is drag and drop the android folder on the root of your sd. After that, while booted into windows, use the file explorer to open the android folder. Click on clrad then haret. If you are using chuckydroid rom, you don't need to manually touch haret. Use ebl boot load program and set auto boot.
Can I just ask what size and class of SD card you are installing onto?

i'm using this build...nexusHD2 FRG83_V1.5_(froyo2.2.1)
i tried using EBL but says there is no android room on sd card!!
and now i'm trying to go back to wm6.5 and i don't know how to do it?? this chukydroid room is totally out of my knowlege..if you can give me a hand to going back to windows, i much appreciate and i'll invite you a couple of beers lol ...thanks a lot for you time
just boot into your chuckydroid rom, connect via usb, and flash a new rom with the nbh file. its just the same as any windows rom flash.
um. you are unzipping the android folder that you download first right? if your just downloading it and then drag and dropping it to the root of your SD card it isnt going to work. you have to unzip it first. sorry if i'm stating the obvious here...

[Q] Assistance with error on startup.txt?

Peace all,
Currently try to place the Andriod OS on my girlfreind's HD2. I had placed the file on her SD card before and it worked w/o any problems. Recently she started having problems so I decided to place a real "dual boot" ROM (OzDroid) onto her phone. that went well---but when i placed Meejay's Revolution 2.3 on the root of her SD card---for some reason OzDroid doesn't detect the Android build and when i try to do the fix that comes on OzDroid to repair Android it says "error on startup.txt". Can anyone help me with this or point me to the right direction?
thanks in advance

but what is the text inside startup.txt?
Perhaps it's because it's looking natively in the "Android" folder, which I know guess is not pressent on the other SD card.
Open your startup.txt on your android phone, and look for this line:
set cmd "rel_path=Android" or simmilar. If so, remove the entire cmd line, if there is nothing else in that line. Otherwise, just remove the rel_path=Android part inside the "" signs.
Hope this helps you

[Q] 2 roms in SD card ...is possible?

hallo guys I want to install 2 ROMS in SD card for my HD2 device.
a sense and a MIUI one ,,but I want to have both installed!
in order to run everytime which I want...
is this possible ? can you explain and help?
many thanks!!
Yes, it is.
In the folder with the files in (probably named 'Android') there is a file called startup.txt. Change the folder name to whatever you want (e.g. 'MIUI' or 'Sense') then within the folder open the startup.txt. There will be a line saying rel_path=Android (or whatever the name of the folder originally was). Change this to rel_path=your folder name and boot. I can't remember if the line is exactly like that, so keep the formatting the same (i.e. the same spaces, signs etc.) and only change the Android bit.
thank you! and after I boot into windows how I will choose which I want?
(MIUI or SENSE named?)

Well I guess you would have to uninstall any automatic loaders you have and manually browse through the files and choose the right CLRCAD and HARET from the desired folder
ok thank you !!!
Hi gesamgr,
follow the download link for the exceller autoloader in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=737001
On bootup sequence it shows you the opportunity to choose which OS you'd like to boot - multiple OS as SD version included! Remember to follow the instructions carefully.
best regards
Getrid
Use MAGLDR 1.13 for booting into WINDOWS or any ANDROID ROM.
Just use Boot AD SD for booting into Android.
Change the folder for booting different android ROMs using SERVICES....Boot Setting.....Android SD Folder.
I have 3 roms in SD
just point the way in Magldr
