[Q] Signal problem. Any help?

I have installed MiniCM6-1.0.0-X8 and i have no signal.
Any ideas?

sometimes my phone show 0 signal but it really, send someone a text that normal connects it for me.

It usually shows no signal. I can not make or receive any call.

Can't anybody help?

i would try doing a factory reset in xrecovery, then try reinstalling if that fails.

Could it be baseband? Do you have xx015 baseband version?

Using just one 3G frequency?

Hi, Im planning to buy an LG Optimus L7 II Dual P715, which is listed as having the following 3g frequencies: HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100
The issue is that I live in Argentina and I think that we have the following freqs: UMTS 850, UMTS 1900.
I know that this sounds like a model specific, but my real question is if just having one of the required frequencies (850) should work fine here? Im from IT, but I do not know nothing from networks, cell radio frequencies, etc. Ive searched the forum for similar questions and couldnt find anything either.
If there is someone knowledgeable from here, Im planning to use the phone dual sim capabilities with Personal and Movistar.

just a small clarification, the cell phone that I intend to buy has the following frequencies: HSDPA 900 / 1900 / 2100
And here in Argentina we have: UMTS 850, UMTS 1900.
So the only frequency that I would be able to use would be: 1900, would this be enough?

It depends on which company you have your phone and where you live. (UMTS = 3G // HSDPA = H (3,5G)
for example
3G BANDS IN ARGENTINA:
AMBA:
- Personal: 850 y 1900 MHz.
- Movistar: 850 MHz.
- Claro: 1900 MHz.
NORTE:
- Claro: 850 y 1900 MHz.
- Movistar: 1900 MHz.
- Personal: 850 y 1900 MHz.
SUR:
- Claro: 850 y 1900 MHz.
- Movistar: 850 y 1900 MHz.
- Personal: 1900 MHz.

It depends on a few things. If the carrier uses one frequency for upstream data and one frequency for downstream data, it won't work. But even if you can only use 1900 MHz, you'll be without data in areas that use only 850 MHz.

I know to many this is a stupid question but I always buy phones from carriers, never bought an unlocked phone. So...here goes..
Which version is best for Tmobile US LTE and HSPA+?
So, this phone will basically only work on ATT and Tmobile in the US?
Also, if you buy unlocked from Sony and activate on Tmobile and Sony releases an update do you get it directly or have to wait on Tmobile to release it as you would if you got it from Tmobile and not Sony?

C6903 will work for T-Mobile US on HSPA+ and LTE.
C6916 will be T-Mobile US's version.
C6906 works best with AT&T's HSPA+ and LTE.

All have quad band 2G
D6603, D6633, D6643, D6616 have penta-band 3G.
D6653 and chinese models (L55t, L55u) only have quad band 3G(1/2/5/8), missing the AWS 1700mhz band 4.
LTE, you'll have to look at your network and see which bands are more important and are supported

The 6603 has more bands than this! For LTE that is.

Yup of course every 4G phone has a 3G band but i meant that i found a multiple model numbers and they all support 4G.

(if you are saying 4G = LTE, then yes)
but LTE is a lot more fragmented than 3G (penta band will cover almost all networks), 2G (quad band will cover almost all networks)
that's why it makes sense to say: quad-band 2G & penta-band 3G support = cover most people

NO, bands are not unlockable, they are HARDWARE, so, wichever rom that you flash, they will keep you the same bands.

I don't see why not.
D6603 and D6653 have exactly the same hardware. Bands restriction can be lifted if those restrictions are by software.
Edit:
Flashing another ROM might not lift bands restriction, but manually editing system props might do the trick.
