[Q] (Q) Screen-off animation - Huawei Ideos X5 U8800

The screen-off animation found in gingerbread is pure eye-candy, is it possible in a easy way to port this to the X5?
Just a .zip and flash from recovery.
Edit: Oops, didn't know it automatically did add the "[Q]".

I would like to know if this is possible...

Easiest way to get it is to install cm7 beta...

I believe it might be possible, seeing a dev here has ported it into his Xperia X8 FroyoBeam rom. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1073930

There is a guide on rootzwiki. You have to decompile framework.apk and edit bools.xml.

HC Theme for ICS: Protips?

I'm currently working on a Honeycomb theme for ICS. I really prefer HC's UI style but I still want the features of ICS. I'm running into some obstacles though.
I'm directly modifying SystemUI.apk and framework-res.apk. Is there a better way than this?
9-patch PNGs are giving me issues. I've figured out how to use draw9patch but I can't get the PNGs to compile properly. I need one for the notification clock panel but I can't figure out how the 9-patch should be because I can't decompile either.
I've searched for about 3 days but I can't find help on how to decomiple and then recompile ICS APKs with apktool. Does anyone have a good source?
Would anyone else be interested in this mod? I'll try to figure out how to make a CWM ZIP if there's demand.

Pm me , I can give you my work shop that I setup for Ics.
And there is a better draw 9 patch tool , but it is not free.
But I gotta tell you now, I can help but I won't hold your hand with every step.
Don't have the time and the time I got goes to the theme building for flexreaper.

Screen close like old TV

Hey,i am using aurora 2.04 rom is there any way to make close like old TV and open like it?
as in gingerbread
I tried doing that by editing framewrok-res. Looks like that functionality was removed in ICS... a bit of research will tell you that also.

I'm interessed too. Thanks
Hi all,
In the AURORA mods/addons thread in the General forum there's a link to a flashable zip with the change.
Here's the part that will interest you all:
framework.apk
/system/framework/framework.apk is an .apk that configures the UI of your phone (transitions, look, icons e.t.c). Here are some mods:
- lockscreen animation (only when screen turns off) - flashable.zip - thanks to fjsferreira

[Q] can i install a theme for cm7 on a custom rom

Hi guys i am fairly new here so i can nott ask the question on the relevant dev thread
i recently installed the: [ROM][CM7.2][RC4] Reincarnation Rom Series v.5 | Touchwiz Nature UX Edition [20/03/2014] onto my galaxy y
i would like to know if it is possible to install a CM7 theme straight on top of this ?
i really have no idea and i would appreciate some guidance
cheers BZ
you can install any theme chooser theme (most ldpi/mdpi themes will work - dont try hdpi only themes or higher)
there are loads on xda and the google playstore
just install and then apply the theme with the theme chooser app that already comes with cm7
Thank you Marcus for your help and fast response
i appreciate it
After having a look through the app drawer and the settings it would seem that i have no theme chooser in this Rom
unless it is hidden somewhere or has been removed for stability maybe, i really don't know :/
any ideas are appreciated

some custom roms may remove it or hide it from launcher and place it in rom settings instead
look in system/app with a root browser
you should have
ThemeChooser.apk
ThemeManager.apk
if not you can try installing them with system app installer (playstore) or push to system and set permissions to rw-r-r and restart
iv included them in the attachment
if they dont install you will have to change to bieltv cm7 and not use port or custom versions
Thank you again m8
if it wasn't for your guidance i'd be lost completely
much appreciated
they were not installed
so i followed what you said and installed them, and now i can easily change the themes, yay
thank you again m8 for your help and and knowledge :good:

Port CM Lockscreen Music Visualizer on OxygenOS?

Hello World. Is it possible to port Cyanogenmod's Lock Screen Music Visualizer to Oxygen OS?
That would be awesome!
That would be sweet. I'll look into it.
You can probably start by looking at this method posted on XDA a few months back.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/themes/guide-how-to-add-selectable-8-style-t3070550
Might be the easiest way to get something similar to CM. If someone can complete this method with success and post their modified SystemUI.apk, as long as you are on the same Oxygen build, it should work i think?
