Finally...
But I recommend to flash a custom rom anyway

I will flash Sensation rom when it comes out,but for now GB is good too.....

Cool when do u think it will hit the UK .?
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA Premium App

Doesn't say germany. Only states that it is rolling out via ota?

Would I be correct in asying that even though my phone is currently rooted and running CM7 I could flash to this and unroot so I could send my phone back for a warrenty if I needed it?
Or do they release them only as upgrades and thus there is now no going back as I wouldn't be able to upgrade without the orginal.
Also I need an orange one for warrenty as my phone is meant to be orange locked.

You just need a sense rom and stock boot splash/animation. The people in the phone store are retarded.

They are not retarded just that it is not their job to find out whether the phone have customed rom, etc. To them, they gain nothing from investigating the phone for mods.

2.3 update romania
it started today in romania dhd bought from orange romania

I think too that people in stores don't know nothing about hacked/rooted or customised roms......i was in my carrier store 2 days before and asked about 2.3 update and that carrier phones get update later than unbrended phones, and they looked at me like I fell from mars, they didn't know what hit them......anyways back to the topic if anyone gets 2.3 please post the news.

Froyo for Wildfire

Hi,
I was wondering when will Froyo for wildfire be released? My wife has one and I was hoping to update it soon.
Regards,
R

Your phone will inform you that an update is available, as soon as it is available. You'll need an internet connection available on your phone so that it can check for updates and download them.
ummmm i wonder... (since i've about 0 experience in android phones)
when froyo will be released.. will i be able to just... connect with wi-fi and check for updates? Oo
and.. if my phone is rooted... will be unable to get the update ota?
and if i am unable to get it ota will i be able to just get from... here? xda?
Hi,
I know about the phone will inform me. But does anybody knows a day?
I was checking for update but nothing :-(

Understood it depends country, operator and even when announced than can take some days till it hits yourphone. In China/HK they start selling with Froyo standard.....
We need to be patient....
Virgin media UK said early September.
Once we get our hands on an ota version, custom froyo ROMs become much easier to make.

I love how you post this and give no information about what network you're on or country you're in. Are you sure it's Froyo? There was a different update a while back which was just a kernel update and only some countries got it.
i think its not froyo, it must be latest eclair update
Tank`s .................
amazing the threads googling your username brings up....
To be fair it was Froyo, though I have a phone that wan't networked locked when I bought it and was (still am) on UK vodaphone at the time. Actually it came with eclaire installed anyway, just a shame I can't run gingerbread.
I think no one needs that answer now.

HTC latest update list Sense 3.0 with Android 2.3.5 for DHD

As per the latest information shared on HTC Turkey Facebook page, our Desire HD are due to receive the 2.3.5 update with Sense 3.0 as OTA which will be rolling out from Dec 15th onwards. The information seemed to have been leaked inadvertently.
Here is the Google translated post-
HTC Desire HD 2.3.5, and Sense 3.0 update for December 15 planned to be sent.
HTC Desire S up to 15 December, and Sense 3.0 update 2.3.5 is planned to be sent.
HTC Incredible S up to 10 December, and Sense 3.0 update 2.3.5 is planned to be sent.
HTC Wildfire S up to 10 December and the Lock screen update 2.3.5 is planned to be sent.
HTC Flyer 3G and Wi-Fi submission is planned for December, Honeycomb update.
System for the HTC Salsa, update sent to Twitter, and Wi-Fi improvements are planned.
Planned to be sent to update the system update for the HTC ChaCha
Seems legit since it coincided with the Honeycomb update launch by HTC for Flyer.

Despite many awesome ROMs here its always great to have option for those still in warranty and those who do not want to root their devices.
UPDATE-- Rolling out now for Users in many countries. Most users have received it.
India DHD Users Rolling out now(Jan 30, 2012)
So far update pending for-
Orange UK
Softbank Japan
We already had the Desire S 3.0 update way back in September

Well even unbranded users of Desire S here in India never got that update.
this upgrade despite being just sense 3.0 is still a massive one, the whole phone is transformed, i find it faster then ROMs based on Runny sense 3.5
if im bored with this sense 3.0 base before HTC's ICS WVGA Snapdragon 2 ROMs come out, i will switch to Virtuous Affinity which is the cleanest sense 3.5 around
This is the best news I've been wait for the update for so long as my dhd is not root ( too trouble to root dhd for me ... XD )
This news seem to be true since the HTC flyer just release their update via ota

With ACE hack kit I feel it is too easy, the only thing holding me personally to root was warranty, in my case 2 more months, guess I ll root once we have a working fully functional ICS port, till then I ll be very happy if we get this update, Sense 2.1 has got really boring.

Try to do a backup of everything (except the SD card) with MyBackup app. Don't forget about the contacts, although I don't think they will be deleted.(you can export them to SD from the stock people app). Also, you will have to set up your accounts again. Phone settings and home screen can be restored with MyBackup.
I had to do a master reset after the update ,too.
Just downloading now on my unbranded DHD in Australia love updates makes my phone feel new again

UK unbranded T-Mobile and still waiting. Took a week or two get the Gingerbread update so not expecting it this week.
I installed it almost a week ago and I'm very happy with it. Speed has improved and also the animations are cool and the new widgets. Only thing that bothers me that the battery drains faster now. But besides of that I'm very happy with the update and I'm looking forward to see the ICS rom if not on air than from a custom rom.
Anybody got this update in Vodafone Australia?
Thanks

For me it's still true. Dropped mine in the lift twice and my kid smash it directly to the TV rack (solid wood). Some dent visible a the edge of the screen (the plastic parts) and now some dirt is inside the LCD! Still working well :good:
Would returning to stock be the only way to get access to ICS OTA update? Or would flashing a rooted, but otherwise untouched, RUU version give me the option to check for (and install) the OTA When it finally arrives?
I'm guessing not as this would be a far too easy way to do things.

Yes you can flash the ruu and accept the ICS OTA even with S-OFF as long you got stock recovery (which you get from the ruu) and is not supercid.

Supercid? That's a new one to me. Heard of it.... Not a clue what it is. I'll give it a search later.
If I where to use the OTA, would that have any effect on root? As in would I lose it?
I'll most likely stay on Leedroid until a suitable custom ROM appears. I imagine that there's a ton of devs poised to whip out the finished article as soon as they get access to the kernel and source material needed.
