I've pulled this build. I stand behind google's request to not distribute builds including closed source applications.

what is advanced launcher?

it allows you to hide apps you don't use from your launcher drawer by dragging them to the trash.

Your post says 320x240 res, but the decription on Vogue android says 320x480
Booted up using usual 320x480 fine, data and market works, able to place a call.
nice theme and pretty damn fast so far also.

actually, try 320x427 with lcd.density=160 for a correct aspect ratio while allowing the usage of all the apps.

very, very nice release indeed.
- using 320x427 with lcd.density=160 for correct aspect ratio while not breaking any apps (such as keyboard).
- very fast call notification (within 1st ringtone)
- wifi working
- data working
- market working
- very fast
- left some extra stuff, such as the rogers stuff (my account, ringback, ringtones), teeter, :-/

I set to 320x427 with lcd 160 but some apps like the music app is still getting cut off.
Also on the market I am only seein a few apps and games, not the full market.
I had this same issue with the 1.6 donut also.

its because the google changed the way it allows locked apps.

Can you elaborate or link to something talking about this?

Is it Roger's build? V4?

i cant get this thing to boot on my vogue. it just goes to a blank screen and does nothing. what other files or bundles am i suppose to use with this?
also is this thing themed at all?

it works with basefiles-20090919-v2
delete/rename any current data.img
1st boot takes a little longer (5 minutes?) displaying only a black screen in the process. just wait...

Thanks. Looked on Android and Kaiser. Didn't think of Hero...

What a wonderfull build.. Thanks a lot to all who have developed this. Andriod definetly is far better than WM (for me atleast)
Was able to install the rogers build. It took sometime. I used the rootfs.img that came with the zip but didnt work on my tilt. So i used the one from the basefiles-v2 and that did the trick. It took sometime to load initially but did work.
Things that worked
1. Wifi and Market. Was able to download applications
2. Browser working
3. Calling and SMS worked (though with slight issues)
4. GPS working (recoginzed in google maps and Sportyhal)
5. Import contacts worked
6. Music with good clear sound
7. Great speed
Things that didnt work or had issues
1. You tube connect and i can listen to music but can only see the first image that it download and not the whole video
2. For some reason I cannot confirm at this time the calling was going thru but wasnt able to hear the call answer
3. All new icons for shopping, Home, My account give errors
4. Standard things not working - Camera, bluetooth, speakerphone on call, the calibaration application always force closes.
Not tried data connection as I dont use it
Can anyone help me out with anyof the above issue or is this something everyone is facing.....
I will continue to use this version instead of WM ...

May be tilt related with the calling. I use this as my daily build and haven't experieinced these issue. The rogers apps that are there are only for rogers network users. I had a request to leave them so I did. You can always hide them with the advanced launcher, just drag them to the trash.

About YouTube: when the video starts, go to options and select normal quality

It's like MS Marketplace....but better !

I tried OpnMarket as an alternative to MS Marketplace, what can I say, MS could learn something here.
It has a good way to browse the apps and I have not seen one you have to pay for (donations are welcome though).
The number of apps are currenly limited, but still more than the Marketplace, however I'm sure it'll grow.

True, this OPN Market seems good and I think most applications or games are free inside, right?
While MSN Market have some applications or games which need to purchase before downloading.

Also, unlike MS Marketplace, you have the ability to save the applications where you want instead of just to the device, thus saving the precious memory on your phone.
I know you can just move the apps manually but the is just a hassle to do, and to be honest I just couldn't be bothered to use the Marketplace mainly for this reason.

Marketplace seems to be the biggest failure when it comes to Windows Mobile. What help us great hardware, if don't have applications to run on.

Looks very interesting! But I constantly get a 'Connection failed! Please check your internet connection and try again.' error when trying to log in through the application.
Anyone else with the same problem? Connection is working fine btw so that can't really be the issue.

It was working well for me... Installed an app to my storage card, was quite happy with the interface, even if it did feel a little low-res. However, on downloading my 2nd app, I clicked "back" hoping it would download in the background. IT appeared to stop, so I went back to the app I wanted to download. The store then locked up, and eventually crashed out and now won't load.
Very poor error handling, in my opinion.

I have to say I also thought that it was going to download in the background, however for a first release it is still miles better than Marketplace

I also had this, I closed the app and relaunched it and all worked well since then

Heh, yeah... I just tried it a few times and suddenly I got in. Looks good so far!

Works good, and a way better than a MS Marketplace (especially local one). Beatiful gui without those monstfous MS fonts

Dell are displaying the arrogance they are famous for... After thinking we were making some headway with them!
Having had quite a lot of reports that this builds was buggy, they decided to roll it out again, "too make sure"
If you are unlucky enough to flash it then please complain to dell that you don't want their buggy software, obviously those of us who have highlighted bugs already don't matter...

mm i had downloaded the file from phone version gausb1a110100 and it is the same 315_12332_00.pkg . downloaded also same version today from 111100 link. this version i had was 150mb vs this version i downloaded by official link 153mb . now i dont know if it was a bad download or anything. it wouldnt install and i needed to go so i set it to download over mobile internet (took half hour.. not that bad) and it asked if i wanted to open the file with gameboy emulator or nes emulator or this upgrade to something.. i choose this one lol.. the install started and i was busy so i didnt look what it did. half an hour later i needed to call someone and it showed 2.2 new interface , i was happy. finally hsdpa internet. so i put back the backup , only to discover my mobile internet was gone :s
so after a full reset to factory (turn off phone , press both volume buttons and then power until it starts then let go of power button and wait till you see a dos like menu and choose factory reset) it worked again. i tried camera and front cam works.. streak led works also and turns on the led next to the camera on the rear and not some white screen.
but this stage widgets.. they take up to much screen.
had no browser redirects. i had however noticed in my router this streak shows up as android_somecode and it has both ip from mobile internet and ip from my router.. maybe this is related to the browser redirect errors.

yup that is correct
but this time i got for my gausb1a111100 this file : Streak_315_12332_00.pkg
nevertheless it seems ur right as it ends up in the same oem version.
but which is the faulty version then ? the 309 or 315 . looking at these numbers i'd say that 315 is an increment thus newer version of the baseband radio and 12332 is the android build nr. so if one installs the wrong version one ends up in wrong baseband and thus have this redirects and such. as the update doesnt install newer version but patches the original files. (correct me if im wrong)

yeah that was my typo..
the 12332 is identical from the version from last week..
it does have the server redirect issues for most people.
can you login (properly login) to mail.google.com

secure connection could not be established .. thats what i get when login to mail.google.com

yup.. so it is the same build..
that's one of the bugs, it can't swap from insecure to secure sites, as well as the server redirects, and identification and misdirection.
for example in the uk its impossible to go to http://www.bbc.co.uk/mobile/iplayer
plus a lot of m. websites dont work

yeah indeed. this sucks
my flash9 based asp tv-streamer webpage player works
it uses secure login which is about the same as google uses , so that cant be the problem. it is a certificate error is my guess.
have you tried to turn browser to android mode ? maybe that way this mobile sites work better.

[Q] Blacklight Retribution Problem

i dont know how many of you have tried this and ended up in the same spot as me, but here is my issue.
i recently installed blacklight retribution from steam on my toshiba with windows 8 pro, and all went well in that aspect.
i launched the game and it brought up the normal window where it does all of its updating and everything.
i sign in and hit continue and this is where i hit my issue.
the game loads in full screen, like it should, but i only see a black screen.
after about 5 seconds, windows says it has stopped working and has to close.
this happens everytime that i try to open it,
anyone have any suggestions on what i can do to get the game running?

Have you done some searches or checked the Steam forums? The only thing I can think to recommend is to try setting Compatibility Mode (you may have to go into the SteamApps folder and set it on the EXE directly). This isn't really a tech support forum...

I have looked already but all look again. I may have tried your second option but I can't remember.

Im an ex-apple Fan boy....who has had his Galaxy S4 for 3 days.
The Good.
Responsive as hell
Camera Rocks
SD card should be a standard on all cell phones no matter who makes them
Love the vivid colors.
The Bad
My first problem was with the brand new version of gmail. Every time i got mail in my notifications....instead of a list view it was a giant mother notification and then a few small ones after that. I later learned you can resize that with a swipe of your hand...then that if you uninstall the update that, that would fix it. It did....kinda. I then tried the samsung mail app...which sucked. It didnt scale to fit the content. I tried aquamail...which was ok, but not as responsive as gmail.
Second. Browsers. I know there are like a thousand of them. I started with the stock browser (which i ended up liking the best). But i had a major glitch. Every time i tried to do a google search and use search tools (time..place) it would die on me. Either freeze of would not recognize what i was trying to do. I tried them chrome...ehh, boat...ehh, next. double ehh.
I contacted a rep from samsung....and he told me to try wiping the cashe...try this try that. Even tried a factory reboot.
Nothin...
Then he tells me i might have a lemon.
Wonderful. What the ^#%#[email protected]!! are the odds that i want to try android for the first time and i get brick.
Everything else works great....but im unsure what to do. The two things i use this phone for more then anything else....email and browsing dont work.
Anyone have any helpful hints at a fix?

Did you try to update to the latest firmware available? It may worth trying see if it fixes your problems.
If you only use Gmail, try Boomerang email app. They will also feature other email providers in the near future...

For the browsing issues I recommend you try dolphin browser. It's quick, stable, feature packed, has a bunch of add-ons available, and supports Adobe flash.

I was also qurious to find out if there are any heat issues while gaming.
And bro, use something from the store, now that I think of it, I'm not using a single stock app. Even the gallery.
