1st Impression/Comment: I have an original iPad and this tablet. I like the iPad but I'm actually liking the Transformer more. I am working out the kinks in how to get wifi to it. My iPad is 3G and works well in the building I work in. My phone does not (Verizon) so tethering may not be an option. I have a Virgin Mobile Mifi that works well but 50 a month is a bit steep.
Screen is every bit as good as the iPad and the Browser is much faster. So far I really like it! Wish more tablet apps were out there (Words With Friends doesn't look so good on the tablet screen for instance.)

1st Impression/Comment: I'm also an iPad to Transformer convert. The Transformer has an iPad quality IPS display that I love. To me it even feels a tiny bit lighter than the iPad (though both are listed at 680 grams). The Transformer even feels more comfortable in hand then the iPad. And it's a huge improvement in comfort than the thick, heavy, tiny bezel Xoom.
I like the side mounted speakers, but makes it easier to hear voices like when I'm listening to a YouTube podcast, unlike the Xoom's speakers facing away. But the quality is kinda poor. But for an Android tablet they seem good, compared to the iPad it's a big step down.
I like the look of the Transformer. And the textured back feels nice and doesn't mark up as easily as the Xoom back did. However it does seem to get a little bit warmer in hand than the iPad and Xoom's aluminum backs do (aluminum dissipates heat better than plastic).
Overall so very happy. The screen quality and comfort in holding the tablet were really important, so I just couldn't be happy with the Xoom or A500. I was planning on waiting for the Galaxy Tab 10.1, being thinner, lighter, and having a PLS display. But the ASUS keyboard dock has swung me over to the Transformer. Really look forward to getting that.
Also I'm not a happy Samsung fan these days either considering how slow they've been to push Android updates for my Vibrant.
Good job ASUS.
Oh, there was one very tiny scratch on the bezel. Initially a little disappointed about that. But it's barely noticeable, so I guess I'll live with it.
PS. One more impression. I love the ASUS keyboard. It adds an extra 5th row so you can have numbers and letters together! Like that alot so far.

1st Impression/Comment: Love it! It is really everything I expected based on the reviews I've seen. The screen is excellent. I do not notice and creacking. My OTA update went through fine with no issues. It is very well built and I like the textured back better then Iconia and Moto I played with at BB. Speakers are just ok which is expected for a tablet. I have Nook Color running phiremod v.6 ROM and obviously Asus is much faster plus HC is sweet. I have gotten a very few force closes from non-tablet apps which is expected, no app issues besides that and most of them work great on HC. GPS locks pretty fast when outdoors, I have not gotten a lock indoors yet unlike my Samsung Epic. In summary, it is a very solid product at fantastic price. Now I just need to get the dock and I will be all set.
PS. Belkin Sleeve that came with my Tiger Direct "bundle" is actually pretty good. It fits Asus nice and snugly and looks professional.

I noticed this as well.. and when I went into the HC section under brand they had 3 under motorola and 1 under acer but the page only displays 2 of the xooms. Maybe a pre order for the att or sprint xoom??

It says in stock and shipping from CA. I guess they have them already, how else could Newegg ship them for launch day? Its also very rare to see Newegg restrict purchases to QTY 1.

I find this somewhat incredibly annoying. Why is Amazon taking new orders for the tablet when they have not serviced my order for the tablet + keyboard. Afaik the keyboard is completely separate to the tablet and arrives in its own box. They should be sending me my tablet now before taking new orders. It is an order with 2 items and both should be sent when they are available instead of waiting until both are available.
I cancelled my order with keyboard and order one without keyboard. I wonder if they really have one - there was "4 left in stock" written under the description.
you're right, it shows 'in stock' at the moment. However my keyboard combo is still expected to be dispatched on 31 may (ordered mine on 15 april)
I ordered the tablet+ keyboard est dispatch 1st june. Maby there is a shortage of keyboards, might just pick up the tablet and wait for the keyboard to be released tho is it guaranteed that it will be sold seperately.

It is the grey model on Amazon. You can tell by the Model #: GT-P7510MAVXAB. I looked on Best Buy website and it matches the grey model #. The MAY is the 16gb and the MAV is the 32gb in the model #.

Screen issues faint lines on grays, dark colors, and when notifcation bar is pulled down on white from the left side of the screen to the middle. Will return for sure... waiting on my 32gb graphite to come in to see how it fairs.

Not sure who you're responding to, most device forums have a "waiting room" for preorder shipping status, general discussion just to shoot the sh*t while we're ALL WAITING.. Just like this one...lol New here? [emoji1]

My thoughts,
People seem to have an issue with the price tag which falls in line with every other "flagship" device on the market. I think this signals the end of Google producing higher spec products and selling them at midrange prices. To some I'm sure this is frustrating and disappointing, I think of it as Google challenging Apple, actually going out and getting involved in the manufacturing of their own device and for that I applaud them. It's going to cost me a few more pennies than I'd like, but I would rather give those extra pennies to Goggle instead of Apple, Samsung etc...
I hope the premium price I paid is justified by receiving a premium phone come 21 October.. Looking forward to it ...

Gone are the days of crashing the Google servers hoping to get a pre order.
Nexus devices were ment to be for developers offering mid range devices at a subsidised price. This is a flagship killer ?
My only hope is that the resale value will hold up and not go to the toilet like the N6 but I doubt that. Apple and Samsung will hold that until this product like gains popularity
Nexus 5 and prior would lose maybe $100 from launch price when selling a year later. I will be lucky to get half what I paid next year when I sell the pixel but this is something I'm aware of.
I really shouldn't be here. I spent way to much time worrying about when my Nexus 6P would arrive. I recently decided I wanted to try a smaller device again after having the Nexus 6 and Nexus 6p. I tried the 5x for a couple days (borrowed) and I liked the size. I didn't like the speaker and build and screen quality. The Pixel look great for me. All the specs but 1 handed operation. The VR also looked cool so I was presently surprised after I order to see I will get that free. I know the general community is outraged but I'm excited for this phone!

Yeah, kind of quiet... It was dead at work today so I actually watched the whole launch event and refreshed the Google Store until the preorder came up... I'm pretty stoked, finally get rid of this loaner iPhone 6+ I got when my Note 7 was recalled... Really miss my Nexus 6, this should be a great phone and my only gripe from the specs is the 5.5" display. I was really hoping for 5.7"
