Well, I've been rooted for a few months now and just bricked my phone. I think I flashed android 2.1 for the moment and not the intercept :/ Is there anything I can do? Nothing comes on, just blackness. Thanks.

Hello, my son has a samsung intercept and I brick his phone now I have to find a way to get it back to stock I tried to download the insane recovery from sdx and after that I was left with a blank screen and vibrating phone and by the way the phone was on 2.2 stock rom* any help will be gadly appeciated

I attempted to flash my dream with TheDudesRogersTheme Rom and it was unsuccessful... However, something odd happened while trying to go back to H's root. I forgot to clear the system data and after installing H's root update on my dream, I rebooted fastboot and when the phone to the boot screen it was completely different (different boot chime and this time the Android (Chip I believe his name to be) popped up as well) and the Rom actually loaded. However... when I went through the setup wizard everytime it went to sync it would force close and leave me with a blank screen. I was able to get my phone back using nandroid, but I just thought this was very strange and wanted to pass it on to all of you and see if anyone has had anything similar happen.
I appologize if my terms or phrasing are incorrect. I am very much a noob to all of this, and I am certainly in no way a dev.
Thanks for all your hard work, it is certainly appreciated. Hopefully a stable Rom is up and running soon!

same thing happened to me .. i flashed using TheDudes ROM and it got stuck on the Rogers screen I then recovered boot ans system img and it seems like some of the ROM remained ... i'm not sure how much of it did.

Well I basically don't know where I am right now
Ive been researching how to mod a My-touch 3G for a long time and im a first time rooter
I'm Trying to get Cyanogen Mod 5.07 Hopefully but... I followed the directions at the Unlockr website not knowing it had different recovery than the ones needed for a CyangenMod
So I still have the old recoveries inside of my SD
I got mixed up with multiple guides about rooting my phone in the first place and there are SO MANY different things to install...
I watched many you-tube videos and now I am stuck at the last step where the new flash ROM boots... my phone just keeps flashing the android logo....
Im really confused and I dont think I know how to backup my phone if it bricks
I got scared and did a wipe on the phone after i gave up on the android logo and pulled the battery out...
I currently have the:
32A Board its a Tmo HTC Mytouch 3g Black
HTC 1.6 OTA Dev Version of Android its called - NO CLUE- : signed-dream_devphone_userdebug-ota-14721.zip file
No clue what my Radio is and I dont think i have SPL - Where can I find this?
Dont have ArmanRa's recovery installed yet...
Not sure is my SD is partitioned
and the rest im lost...
I'm really sorry for being a bad researcher and I'm emotionally corrupted now facing the fact that I just screwed up my phone ...
If anyone can help me please...it would be the most helpful piece of assurance for me

I have an original mytouch 3g and theunlockr.com's video helped me. Here is the link to the MT3G 2.1 rooting http://http://theunlockr.com/2010/03/11/how-to-root-the-mytouch-1-2-and-fender-mytouch/ For some reason following along with a video can be more helpful than just reading. Although I do recommend reading.
But once you're rooted, load Cyanogen 4.2.15.1 and then upgrade to 5.0.7.(and flash google pack so you have Market etc...) That's just what worked for me.

Ive formatted my sd and did a factory reset too
I really want Cyangen 5.07 but it seems too complicated for me and I dont want to end up like before?

i bricked my phone installing a new keyboard. no names and it was my fault for not reading before flashing sbf file. learn lesson here doh. anyways, now since i've search and no one has the new sbf 2.2 file yet i called verizon and just said it was stuck in bootloader and i don't know what happened or going on with it. tech help me do this and that and no luck. soooo he said ill send you another phone. ok my question is the phone stuck in bootloader void my warranty? some saaid no and some said yes. anyone bricked thier phone in anyway and just got a replacement and didn't worry about anything else?
I really don't think they check them that close when you send it in. I actually received an already rooted eris for a replacement before I got my dx.

Sorry if this has been posted elsewhere, but I've searched around without any luck. Looks like I didn't do a nandroid backup of my stock ROM with Rogers, and now I'm experiencing the hardware problem with the primary speaker not working. Tried reflashing the current ROM on the phone without any luck, and now Rogers is replacing it, but I'd rather not dish out more money when the see it's been changed.
Anyone have any suggestions, or perhaps a stock rom image from a nandroid backup they did with rogers?

Ok...so I have been reading and have been quite disappointed...As most of you are aware Rogers and Fido now have the new 2.2 OS out for the Acer liquid e however I am running a leaked version with Malez...and from what I can tell acer did something and because of what I did and from what I can tell I will now not be able to update to the stock rom. From what I can tell it somehow recognizes that the phone is rooted and because of that it cannot be updated..Will this work around help with this problem?

Go to Modaco and search for "fido rogers any phone", something like that.
I did however for some reason I keep getting an error when flashing with the acer tool...I just gave up after a while..tried for over 2 days...I am not sure if it is my computer or some kind of issue with the software

You did what? If you went to Modaco and got the rom by alan009 then you need to flash it with Malez, not acer tools. Acer tools is only meant to flash .bin files. Plus if you read that thread there are a ton of people doing it and asking questions, so no need to get stuck.

Oh...maybe I did get the info from that post..I was using a set of instructions that I downloaded...It was how to put back your acer to stock rogers rom...It had all the instructions and instructed me to use the acer tool and flash something...It was a while back...I will have to go back and check it out then...I bought the new dell streak and a galaxy s so I kind of put the acer on the back burner...When i get some time i will check it out...thanks man

I'm looking for the stock recovery.img that comes with Liquid E. The link mentioning where I can find what I need in the above posts has expired but It has lead me to what I believe I need. All except the original recovery.img
I need to send my phone in for repairs. I accidently blew my speakers(both front speaker and back) Its pretty much my fault. Im a welder and I got metal shards in the speakers and I used a magnet to get them out. A big no no lol. Im hoping to pull a fast one on Acer considering I've had the speaker problems where I cant hear the person calling me.
Anywho, I believe I have my old nandriod back up. Im just hoping it not my nandriod back up from my G1. =s Any tips on what I can do to find the stock recovery.img from rogers would be cool and maybe some advice what to check befor I send in my Liquid E? Much Appreciated ^^
PS! My nandroid back up Is rooted I thinks. Do I need to un-root befor I send it in?

I flashed the bin and it replaced Malez, Im assuming this is the stock recovery.img. but now I need to install Malez to restore my nandroid back up. Im not quite sure how to pull out the recovery.img and then put it back in when I'm done. help?!

I am trying to restore my phone to fact default for a girl that I am selling my phone too. I was currently running sense 3.0 with the virtuous rom and a modified radio. Anyways, I downloaded footballs posted PD15IMG.ZIP and put it on the root of my SD card and I tried to do it that way, because that has worked in the past, but now I think I might have bricked my phone, ****. Basically... I tried to do that and it didn't work saying that the update failed because "main version is older"...so I flashed a different backup to try and do it with that rom, but that didn't work either, now I am seeing that it says "s=on" at the top? So can someone please help me... am I doomed or is there a way to fix my phone..?!?! Thanks.

you, sir, are unfortunately **** out of luck. the same thing happened to me and I tried EVERYTHING for like a week straight but was never able to fix it. the problem is that you should have reverted back to the stock radio before trying to flash the PD15IMG. you have a radio lockout, and I dont think theres any way to fix it. its been discussed on another thread if youd like to view it http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1092170
*edit*the other guy got his fixed so you might wanna try the methods he did, but I was never able to fix mine so I just bricked it
