[Q] Droid 2 Stuck At Bootloader - Droid 2 General

Bootloader image:
"Bootloader
D2.37
Err:A5,70,70,00,1F
MEM_MAP Blank
Service Req'd
Battery OK
OK to Program
Connect USB
Data Cable"
Things already tried:
Flashing SBF Via RSD Lite in Windows
Flashing SBF Via Linux
Starting up in Recovery which does not work
Any other suggestions?
Help is very much appreciated and thank you in advance =)

I've had this problem before.
You probably used the wrong SBF file. Thats what I did to get that error. Also, when using RSDlite, be sure you are using version 4.9 That worked for me.
Download the correct SBF file from here:
h t t p://www.mydroidworld.com/forums/droid-2-discussion/5323-tbh-mydroidworld-present-droid-2-2-3-20-triple-threat.html

im having the same problem but rsdlite 4.9 wont even show my droid

You RSD lite 4.7 with Patch. Im new to this forum stuff so not sure how to post links but google Kimete Darkonion House of Pain Holy Grail. you will find everything on how to convert and fix your DROID 2

NEW_MAP Blank... Service Reqd.... Help does anyone know what i should do??? rsd lite doesnt shows the sbf file but thats it.. bootloader screen constantly shows lo batt no matter plugged in constantly... bootloader screen now goes off when plugged into usb???? im completly stumped
it won't flash the sbf until the battery is charged, the .320 is the correct sbf for the 30.04 bootloader. You need to find a way to charge it or another battery.
hotwire the droid with an old USB cable. Google-
Bootloader 30.04 Battery Low Cannot Program
That shows you how to wire it up.
What version of windows are you using?
What version of RSDlite?
Do you have the drivers for your droid installed?

Upgrading to Froyo

I am following the beginners guide here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1216982 to try upgrade my phone to Froyo before flashing CM7.
When I am in boot menu and connect my phone to USB, unfortunately the Start button in RDS Lite is not becomming available even though the phone has been recognised correctly by the PC and drivers installed sucessfully. Does anyone know why and how I can get the start button to show and RDS Lite to recognise my defy?
Cheers,
John
Try other RSD Lite version , maybe you're using an old one ...
Motorola Defy CM7 RC 1.5 OC 1GHz
Hi. I am on the latest RSD lite version 4.9. I have USB logging enabled. I think there must be something else I am doing wrong?

4.9 is not the latest. If you are on Windows 7 this version can sometimes cause this issue. Look for 5.3.1 or later.

[Q] MS2 Died?

Yesterday I tried to install the official motorola GB in Froyo but in the way my computer was not enough space to complete the download and installation, after that, he was appearing on a screen with the message "code corrupt", tried to use rsd lite to go back to 2.2 and then update again, but the screen is all black and only the light illuminates the usb. Would anyone know give me a hand?
PS: When i used the rsd lite, during the process apears on screen sw update, or something like that, but, when finishes with "Finished / Pass" it's all black =/
Thanks in advance
Sorry about my english.
download again SFB of GB...
what version of RSD are you using ?
I advise you use this:

Flash the Boost Gingerbread SBF and you will recovery your phone.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1858403
For use in Sprint, you might have to flash the Sprint update.zip again. Not sure about it. but GSM works out of US.
Hi kapil,

It would be stuck on "Contacting Network" for at least 2-3 minutes and than continue further.
Since you cant root the phone and remove the Sprint/Boost Activation files. You need the SPC and use CDMA workshop to change type to RUIM only. That would remove the Contacting Network.

No. it just goes on. Actually when it says 'contacting network', I would press power button to select airplane mode and boot into. But then it says 'Communicating with the server' and this one would go on for hours! (I actually observed it).
Because the only screen it shows is of 'Communicating with Server' and I cannot open ANY application/menu. at this point I dont think I can root. Please confirm.
Also the links to download the Gingerbread sbfs are prompting to install 'Livid' before downloading....isnt there any better link?
Thanks for the quick reply...its like a ray of hope... Long back I had scoured so many forums regarding this only to see dead ends...Please cling on and help me resurrect my XPRT

Guys please help me with my broken firmware.
I have Defy plus mb256 bl 9.1 and tried so many different sbf, but i am stucked on bl screen with err: A5,69,35,00,27
When i use RSDlite it looks evrything is ok, and finaly typed Pass as result of flashing. But when i power the phone have Moto logo for a minute then bootloader screen with that error. I guess its from bad sbf. sbf.droid-developers works no longer and i cant find enough sbf files. So please provide a link for the right sbf files i need.
Thank you in advance.
