12 hour digiwatch mod? - Android Software Development

Is there a 12-hour Digiwatch Mod, the one like this(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=956219) floating around anywhere? I see it all over the place, but most people say it's NFR. I managed to find the above thread and a few other links about the apk, but they are only for 24-hour format. Is there a way to mod it for 12-hour format? I extracted the files from the apk and checked all of the xmls, but Dreamweaver(default program, I never tried opening it in notepad or anything else) didn't write out the scripts properly. Sorry if this is in the wrong section, I didn't want to put it in the Apps section and start any confusion.
Edit: For anyone that might be wondering why I can't just leave the tickbox for "Use 24-Hour Format" empty is because then the widget has green font for AM/PM and it doesn't fit within the borders of the image used for the background of the clock.

it'd probably be easier to make your own clock widget

I tried editing the 24-hour version, but Dreamweaver didn't write out the scripts properly and just gave me a bunch of weird characters. Do you have any links on that, or creating your own clock? I don't want anything else on it, so I wouldn't have to worry about coding for touching the app for a shortcut, the date, etc.

Use spbWeather icons on S2u2

Hi all,
Before anyone starts flaming, I have tried to do a search and gone through nearly all the pages that come up, but yet to find an answer.
Question is, I would like to have the weather icons replaced with the ones shown in Spbweather, is there a way to achieve this without the need to change to 'UserWeather' and have mortscripts active? Surely that has to be...
I've had a look at the SpbWeather directory and I've noticed in each of the skins folders, there is a zip file for 32x32 and 16x16 and in each there is a single .bmp file with two rows of icons. Will I need to edit these so it will be in similar format as the weather.png within S2U2 directory for it to pick it up?
Thanks
yes spbweather icons are together on a file
so you have to put the file on your PC and make selection and copy paste to differents png
look at spb site to help about the number of different png
I was using s2u2 with spb weather and iconswere not displayed , I understand why now , probably because of the file format

not flaming but why start a new thread ? why not post in the S2U2 thread ???
Replying in a thread like that seems to always get masked especially considering the vast number of pages in that single thread. But nevertheless I do apologise, I guess my question would have been more appropriate in that thread.
And to brunoisa10
I don't see how that would work, I initially though that would solve my problem, however if Spbweather is chosen as the preferred weather application, S2U2 seems to ignore any files contained in \gfx\weather
Can you just clarify...
You want the weather icons on the S2U2 screen to be the same as the ones you currently see in spbWeather on your Today screen?
What icons are you using in spbWeather at the moment?

Yes that is correct, sorry I wasn't accurate. I'm currently using stardock icons at the moment.

Editing softkeybar .png images....

I just tried to modify my softkeybar by changing some colours around, saved the file as a .png with the same dimensions and such like, copied it back to the device and when I restarted the softkey bar was all kind of fragmented and multicolured.
Could anyone tell me what I've done wrong......
I know its something stupid but I'm having one of those days.
Thanks
did you save it as an interlaced .png? if so turn that off and the issue should go away.
hmm i cant find any option relating to that. will the bit depth affect it?

[Q] Editing Graphical Components

Hi All-
So, while I'm relatively experienced in computer programming, I'm just starting out learning the android SDK and one of my first tasks was to replace some files in an APK file, namely the Dazzle widget apk.
I wanted to make the background of the widget slightly transparent instead of fully black. I opened the APK, pulled the background file out of the HDPI drawable folder, opened it in GIMP, reduced the opacity, and saved it as a png. I put that PNG back into the Dazzle APK, resigned it using a tool I found here on XDA, and used ADB to install it.
However, when I try to add the widget, the background is now too small (however, it is transparent, so clearly it is reading the correct file)! It only takes up about 75% of the size of the widget, and doesn't cover the white buttons that are supposed to be imposed on it. I have not edited the dimensions of the image, so I don't know what's going on.
Is there something I'm overlooking? Please help!
Thanks!

Maybe a dumb question but was it a .9.png by chance?
It is a .9.png! I didn't realize files with that extension had any special meeting. I assume that I'll have to use the special tool that come with the developer kit in order to properly edit these.
Anyone have a link to a guide/directions I can follow?

Custom Icons [how do I?]

So what is the process for getting custom icons onto the tablet and having them properly associated with their respective apps?
Say, I have a new Browser icon I want to use... what's the next step?
Can 'o' worms question, I know...
Personally I use folder organizer (from the market). It allows you to change an icon for a particular app or create a folder with several app in it. For example, a games folder with the icon of your choice will open a folder with whatever games you put in it (and can customize those icons as well)
Hope that helps.
Thanks Steve, I'll take a look at that now.
EDIT***
Okay, sorta works but a little too convoluted... You have to change each icon individually then add each app you've changed as a widget. I'm looking to do something more in the way of an icon pack that will swap out all the icons at once (of the ones I've made and apps supported).
I use Desktop Visualizer; however, this is also a 'one at a time' process.
I am not familiar with a process to change the icons 'en mass'.
This is a great thread for icon packs and there's some basic information on changing icons in the first post. It's possible though, that one of the icon developers listed in the thread will be able to answer your question.
Thanks for the info Franwella
I'll make my morning reading.

Manually edit tile icons in Start Menu?

Hello,
I've been searching for a while but I couldn't find sufficient answers on how to do this.
Is there a tutorial to manually make and set tile icons for any program/app that fill up the tiles as a whole just like Store app icons, without using any editing software?
The reason I want to do this manually is because the apps in the Windows Store that can edit these icons have to pop up every time I start the program that I have edited its icon with the editing app. This seems to be something that can't be disabled in Windows 10
Oblytile seemed to be a good editing app that doesn't pop up every time you start up the program you've edited its icon of, but unfortunately it's not compatible with Windows 10 anymore.
Also, if there is an editing app that doesn't pop up, I'd really like it to be able to also make wide tiles (not just small or medium squared tiles) since some editing apps don't support that.
Looking forward to answers on this.

Yes, just look for "Customize Tiles on Windows 10 Start Menu" on youtube or something like that.
Something that bothers me is that icons also change on the taskbar, when the program is running, which is something I want to avoid, and I don't know how to keep the original icon on the taskbar.

Thanks for the reply. The problem is, I can't find any way to make wide tiles manually. I think this would need an app but the problem is that apps usually always pop up for a very brief moment when you open the concerning app for which you've made a customized wide tile.
