Hello staff, I am new here and I am om an incredible difficulty: I CAN NOT DO MY UPDATE ROM The HTC HERA100
IPL: 4.17.0002
SPL: 4.70.YANG
We have tried to make the tutorial as the forum but the update gives error ends or when the unit restarts with the windows without the upgrade.
Someone please help me?
retry process, u have your device "modded" to accept any ROM
ps. do not mix hera100 roms with T-mowing roms or you'll get some errors
it's possible that you are using the USPL flash center with your HardSPL'd device.
make sure that the roms you are downloading are in the correct format and include the HardSPL flash center
its my first time to upgrade and i downloaded a wm6 rom. im currently on a stock rom (wm2003)... i tried flashing the rom but an error occurs.. something about country id?>
please advice

put ur device in boot loader mode than do it and use ruu comes with wm6 not ur wm3 one.
actually the rom update utility (ruu) first check the rom country id before update so u must use a ruu with no country id.

radio version : 4.17

i need a suggestion, while i plan to upgrade my xda using wm2003, which best rom version can running well in my xda?
which one is best between wm2003final and ppc2002 with rom version 3.20.06?

i've already upgrade with wm2003 4.02.04 ENG standard.
now i try to upgrade with wm2003 4.02.04 ENG with rom kitchen.

all my backup in my sd card cannot be read with this new rom..
i'd try to downgrade my rom with ppc2002 3.20.06, but it cannot be downgraded..
it always shown " cannot read rom "

this radio version installed is 4.17.00
but, the signal is quite poor, only 1-2bar...and it cannot connect GPRS...
before i upgrade the rom, the signal is very good...and it was easy to connect GPRS...
any suggestion, pls???
i try to downgrade using rom version 30.02.06
but it shown : "cannot find the ROM image to upgrade your Pocket PC. Pls dload n try again"...and in command prompt, it shown : "nbf directory not found in c:/.../..."

Try doawnloading it once again. There was an error in the File.
Or extract the EXE-File manually with winzip, and copy the nbf file out of the direcotry German into the directory English.......
Than just run the start.bat file....

thanks god i've already made "permanent save" before,
so i didn't loose my contact...
now the problem is the poor signal this xda have...
how to tune up this poor signal?
btw, after upgrade, my xda had a change in model number, it used to have PW10A1, but after upgrade, it become PW10B1. Did that model number change is one of the factors that make the signal poor?

i have installed my XDA with new rom in www.romkithen.de... yeah, tmobile rom i think... many bug in this rom!!!
so i want to downgrade to my original rom... but... IT CAN'T BOY!!!!

I CAN'T FLASH VIA SD CARD!!! yes, bootloader v5.17.. i have open many thread, i have install wallaby patch tool with XDA RIT 1.0 (1,3 Mb)...
futhermore... when i wrote patch tool(.nb2) with xdarit, it says no removable disk in my computer, i have plug in my sdcard to my computer(Notebook)... and when i have wrote it and restart my notebook..... I have lost my WINDOWS XP and all data in my harddisk... no found OS in my device,
is it damn ROM or what?!!!!

r u having a bad flash? what r doing actually?
try to re-install the SHIPPED STOCK ROM. It may fix but may not also.

how to re-install SHIPPED STOCK ROM?
connect with activesync and click on the RUU_Wrapper.exe file.
You need to find the stock rom first. Flash the shipped stock rom. It has to be the shipped rom or upgraded wm06 shipped rom so the cid will match and it MIGHT reflash the radio rom successfully. If you try ANY stock rom it WON't work.

I can not install any wm06 shipped Roms, the download stops at 11% to 12% or 13%, I even installed (HTC_Hermes_SIM_CID_Unlock_v3a) but downloading continues to stop I understand nothing !
Please help me, I do not sleep more than anything to retrieve my radio!
Sorry mate, if you can't flash the shipped rom it means the radio has been corrupted and so can't be used as a phone anymore. Flash Hard SPL V7 then any cooked rom of your choice to use as a PDA but the phone can't be recovered...

I tried to flash a cooked rom (I tried three of different cooked rom), but the phone keep crash, and everytime, when I reset the phone, it will be re-install the rom again......(Even I use HardSPL or SSPL to flash cooked rom)
the only solution is: I have to install a ship rom......
I really really want to change my Chinese ship rom!!!!
Is there anyone got a same problem as me??
Or just my phone's problem?
Anyone can help me please?!!
Did you take out your SIM card and SD card before flashing ?

exact SAME thing used to happen to me, the way i solved it was to HSPL, the flash the phone from bootloader NOT with active sync connection

check the bootloader screen to make sure hardSPL got installed
You should see a line saying
CotullaHSPL
if it is not there you are not free to flash

I have the same experience.
I had HSPL already. I can only successfully flashed different roms
posted in internet.(such as Duttys, l3v5y, Taiwan CHT). I can only flash self-customize WWE rom by myself. However, I fail tens of time to flash HK-CHT
self-customized rom, even with different SYS and XIP by HSPL and SSPL.

you mean you can flash to Duttys, l3v5y and Taiwan CHT rom?
Is the Taiwan CHT rom official or cooked one?
