wow help a brotha out

You could try the Ultimate Online Theme Kitchen (Thread in android theming forum) - would involve taking your framwork-res.apk from your phone and uploading it and using the options to make the status bar matte or solid black.
Otherwise, maybe try a Sense-based rom, pick a skin that has the solid black status bar, then change over to your launcher of choice (or stay on Sense)
I have never used a sense-less rom, so I can't speak to that.

Tell me which version your running and I can make you an update zip that will give you the all black status bar. It just won't be for about 2 hours till I get to my PC.

Simple white - theme!!!

OK if anyone is interested I created this theme for LeeDROID but should work on any SENSE rom.
Using latest jar and framework
2 zips to choose, normal battery and battery % mod
-Transparrent Notification
-Transparrent Pull Down (image shows my name at bottom - one in theme is a blank bar tho)
-Full set of Transparent White Icons for the notification bar - including Signal/Clock/Headphones/USB etc...
-White Circle battery (6 parts) or white battery % mod
Im using Launcher Pro with custom icons and the Moded Cyanogen Live Wallpaper
Just Flash from RECOVERY (do a Nandroid first to be safe)
Note.
That I have deleted the Sense Lockscreen in my rom (This is not included so will remain as whatever you have now. If you want to remove the SENSE Lockscreen let me know and i will create a ZIP for it)
Font Changer was used for my system Font

Morning
The first zip is the one shown in my images first post (has 6 segment battery)
The second zip is exactly the same but uses the MOD battery (100% number count down) White circle battery
This looks really nice man, I would appreciate a zip with your lockscreen, that vanilla one is just simply better looking. Any chance of this?
But, at the moment, I'm running supervillain rom, no sense, will it work?

If you remove htclockscreen from system/app then the standard one I use will become default. Can be done in adb thanks a lot for good feedback.

Any idea why the bar is solid black when sitting on home but turns translucent when using any app? I'd like it to be translucent all the time.I'm using rooted stock rom.
It's solid black because I'm using a black background on my homescreen, it is transparent, if I had a white background, the status bar would be lighter coloured

Remove Clock From CM7 taskbar?

I have been researching this for a couple days now to no avail. Ive seen this done on sense-based roms and earlier versions of CM. Can someone give me any advice or point me in the right direction? Thanks much

Could it be because I am using Launcher Pro? Not sure what the problem is but I am not seeing it under interface. I will wipe and reflash just incase I messed something up along the way.

Yep. Ive been in the CM settings. I can verify 100% that status bar tweaks does not show as an option.
Edit... just noticed that I am still using CM7 RC1 rather than RC2... updating now. Fingers crossed!
Found the option in RC2! Thanks guys!
anybody noticed that the signal strenth and 3g icons in taskbar no longer take the color of the theme being used? Regardless of what I choose in theme changer the batter will change colors but the other icons are white. Ill look into this on Cyanogen's forums

Remove Clock on Status Bar

Is there a mod I can flash to remove the clock on the status bar. Most people have widgets and I just don't even seem the point of it being on the status bar anymore.
And I know its called something else than a status bar. Having a brain fart haha
Thanks in advance

I can understand that, but on amoled displays it's nice to at least have the option to disable it. I'm already experiencing (slight) burn in. Download screen test from the market, make the screen either all white or all blue and you'll probably see it on yours too. Technically it's burn out not burn in (the blue sub pixels burn out first) but it looks the same.
Certainly not a big deal but I'm a video engineer so it bugs me more

I am all about options. Something I like, may not be liked by others, and vice versa. I wish the majority of the phone stuff had options for that exact reason.

Sent from my SPH-D700 using Tapatalk
I wish I could put the time back somehow on Bonsai. I use it all the time. Now I have to lock my phone to see the time. Yes I know I could use a widget or another program but the stock is better...no overhead..and just there.
I too also use the clock on the status bar annoying that it is now gone in bansai:-( I am going to try to get it back
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
I use the Launcher Pro that lets me hide the notification bar whenever is not needed. It actually saves the screen from burn "out".
I wish the notification bar only is shown when something is new or a warning otherwise it's just a wasted real estate on the screen.

All edits where made by me, with guidance from many people. All due credit is given.
These mods are to be flashed in Clockworkmod Recovery.

No recent apps in pulldown notification menu (credit goes to Adrynalyne and his awesome blog)
True 6 Bar Signal (credit to jmztaylor for his write up on this)
