They say its a T102 and specs dont talk about 5MP rear camera or GPS.
I asked them and they confirmed verbally and by written that it was a T102 and not a TF101.
So if they are right it's not a TF101, maybe a rebadge or something with different specs.
Having already bought a fair share of Android tablets over the past year I want to make sure the next one I'll be willing to keep for a while...

VAT in Switzerland is 7.6%, not 20%.

I've asked someone from a Swiss retailer in the Geneva area for some more accurate availability dates both for the tablet and for the dock, as well as the different model numbers. I'll post here when (and if) I get an answer.

Yeah I'm from Geneva too, I might try to ask Mediamarkt about it, not that I expect that they will be very helpful lol.
Maybe the digitec one is correct but I'm not spending 500frs without being sure of what I am buying.

I've just got word that the bundled version (tablet + docking station) should be available in Switzerland in early May. This is for the version with the US layout keyboard (qwerty), as this is the one I'm interested in. Price is not known yet, should be announced once the date approaches (anyway the digitec ones could be taken as a reference for now, let's hope that the bundle will be lower than the sum of the two "components"). I'll post here once I get any updates.

That's for the tablet itself. The docking station is now shown by Digitec as available in late June.

what means:
if amazon uk has already sold out their amount (think they mean from preorders) its not affecting other countries that much, because also other countries will get their charges from asus. and they still claim that its released in may in germany...
The same information is on Polish Asus facebook page - that the delay won't change release dates in my country (but the version with dock is to be released in Poland at the end of May anyway ). I cancelled Amazon.co.uk order for now.

The price of the docking station just went up from 99 CHF to 129 CHF at Digitec. They'll probably charge 99 CHF when bought in a bundle with the tablet.

I think we have to wait a month more.. hopefully I’m wrong . Digitec is still the only shop who has the Transformer listed in Switzerland. I wrote Digitec yesterday a Mail and asked about my Order Status and if they now something new about an release date. I ‘got the message back that he’s going now to recheck the Date with the sales partner.. I ordered the 32 GB Model there a the 08.04 so hopefully i will get one from the first batch..
Now the Transformer (i think all possibel Models) is listed on many of the swiss retailer sites.. For example Brack.ch release Date 27.5

Does anyone know where you can buy the Shift for immediate delivery in the UK or do you have the details of any overseas supplier that is reliable. I have the money to purchase one but cannot find a supplier at the moment.
I got mine from chicago, they import from europe. Onthegosolutions i called them to verify stock, bought online, called again to verify i would recieve the next day and wala, it was in my hands. They were very helpful.

I ordered with Amazon on 2nd December now the site says availability 9. April and in my account the date has been 8. April for weeks now.
I guess we have to wait a little longer. Today there was an offer on Ebay without specifications of the keyboard layout. I asked for it and a little bit later the offer was taken off by Ebay I guess.
And I got an email by Ebay in which they said that a doubtful email was sent to me by the the person I asked for the keyboard specifications.
We must swallow the truth that there ain't any Shifts around in Germany. Geteiltes Leid ist halbes Leid.

My Amazon order has NO date at moment.
By now HTC is well-known for its strange (i.e. non-existent) information policy. But their distributors seem to kid their clients in the same way. My amazon-order already has been postponed a few times after giving me fix dates for delivery. Today I got the same mail as EinSiedler telling me that at the moment they don't know nothing about a forthcoming delivery. At the same time however Amazon changed the availability status of the Shift from "bestellbar" (order now) to "lieferbar ab dem 9. April" (available 9th of april). What is the name of the game they're playing with us?
amazon.de will deliver mine on the 11th of April.
Maybe I order the normal English version and use tipp-ex on the keyboard.....
Received the same Email this morning - one day after postponing the delivery date to infinity. Quite chaotic.
But hopefully they are right - this time.
BTW: I assume it's the quertz-version. Anyway: Better we learn blind-typing instead of messing around with Tipp-ex.

no, I don't think that it is Amazon. I guess it is the information policy of HTC, but it is another question how the distributors handle their cluelessness. Worst of all is Expansys. For months they have been giving out exact dates olny to put them back when the time arrives.
At the moment is says: Verfügbarkeit (availability): ca. 1 Tag. Just for the fun of it have a look what will happen today or tomorrow. What they do is downright disgusting.
I ordered the Shift with Amazon on 2nd December 2007. For weeks now the date in my account is 8th of April. On their site it is 9th of April, supposing that I am lucky I might get it on 11th of April.

I live in Australia and noticed on expansys AU that the Shift is on there twice, one as HTC Shift http://www.expansys.com.au/p.aspx?i=157607 and the other as HTC Shift X9500 http://www.expansys.com.au/p.aspx?i=165677
All of the specs seem the same except the X9500 has a 40GB hard drive instead of a 30GB and the X9500 is heaps cheaper........
The other thing is Hong Kong sells the X9500 $650 cheaper than the Australian HTC Shift but the language is (Traditional Chinese), what does this mean...... is the operating system chinese only or is the keyboard and everything Chinese??
Does anyone know what is going on here???

As I can see only the HD is different yes.
I think the Chinese version has another keyboard layout. Maybe also the WM is Chinese and maybe also Vista, but can't tell you this..

Sorry I fixed the first link it had "and" stuck at the end of the address.....
OK, I have found the X9500 in English so the Chinese is no problem now, The HTC Shift in Australia is$2194.95AU and the HTC Shift X9500 in Hong kong with 10GB more is $1511.13AU Thats $683.00 AU difference....... Thats a massive difference for the same device and if you pay less, you get a bigger harddrive...... Something is really strange here.
For that massive saving I am willing to send it back to Hong Kong for Warranty if something goes wrong.

As internal people said, the x1 just arrived on Friday at the central point of o2. Now it must be carried to the shops. Because they do not carry on saturdays, the will do this on monday. Therefore the x1 will be available in the shops tuesday/wednesday.

O2 has it in the central stock at Karlstein but yesterday arrived a problem, that they are not allowed to sell (some licence problem?) as I heard of an insider. That shall be only a problem of o2 -I can wait.
The main problem for me is that as a business user I get a 2days change of the PPC at my office in cause of a defect, if I buy at o2. Thats very important for me, therefore I will wait for o2 to sell it.
Cyberport doesn't have it on stock anymore according to their website..

Being back in office I called the hotline. After a lot of investigating there around 11:00 am I was told that for total Germany there are only 48 (fortyeight!!!!) X1 left to sell. I ordered one and I was told to get one of this 48 ... Hope this is the truth, they said I will get it in 3-4 days.
Shame to o2 to order just a little amount not to be able to deliver to their own shops!
So, Saturn in Köln (Cologne) has it. There is one left for 699€ without contract in black. I played now about one and a half hours with it and wrote a little "review" of my opinion on telefon-treff.de (in german). Hi phenx, try handit.de, they have it in stock and in the past I have made good experience with them.
I just ordered mine @7mobile (588€ vs. 649€ @handit). I called them and they confirmed it is available and they will send it out today, but their store won't get any Xperias before the next shipment arrives.. some time in November. And Hamburg isn't that far away and I can get there for free as I'm a student So should be no problem if my X1 will become defect..

??? Everything I read about the processor on reputable sites says 1.2GHz as well.
But that is a sweet deal for you guys!
Edit: And yeah, it's cheaper for Germans even with the 25€ shipping (cheapest I've seen the SGSII go for here is 530€). But for me it's not worth the hassle with support, warranty etc. Much rather pay the 30€ more, get it from amazon.de and don't have to worry about anything else. I'm lazy like that ^^.

Will be back in Utrecht next weekend, so hopefully it will be waiting for me there.
Also ordered a usb port, screen protector and 32gb sd card. my 8 gb micro sd due for replacement. With a bit of luck everything will be there once im on holland. Will be one of the first in Paris for sure. Launch here is even later I heard.

I see alot of people ordering online but what about the warranty? dont you be afraid that the phone might arrive and have technical problem? as i know phones dont have international warranty so all who are ordering online are taking there chances? and if the phone arrived with technical problem you take it to the local samsung dealer or take it back to the website you ordered from?

What do you mean? If you buy the phone through a webshop, the shop should provide the service of giving you a warranty. Most of the time it's just a regular manufacturer's warranty.
If you buy it from abroad and you need to get it repaired/replaced, you should ship it back to them.

No problem. Obviously the latter is much more of a hassle since you need to ship it all the way back, though some manufacturers might accept replacements/repairs on products which are bought abroad. Usually small stuff. Dunno if this is also the case with cellphones, so better be safe than sorry.

One year samsung warranty is standard. you can go to any samsung shop to repair your phone with original bill/samsung warranty thingy in the box, did the same with my old omnia and that wasnt any problem.

in order status, it says 2-5 days for supply and then max 5 days for delivery. So you might have been right. Ill contact them monday to see hoe de vork in de steel zit

Don't think so. It has to do with Amazon not receiving stock. Amazon UK never listed it, so I assuming DE IT and ES were too eager to jump the gun only to find out they wouldn't be receiving stock.

I ordered the black one (32gb) from amazon IT and i haven't received any email about delays... and btw, starting from the very first day when the s6 edge was listed on the italian website, amazon clearly stated (just check the italian website) that only the 32Gb black version would have been available for shipping on the 10th of april.
So i'm guessing it was just amazon.de who was too eager to start pre-orders without checking for availability first.

That proves my point.
I still cannot understand why amazon.de did this when amazon (the italian website at least) knew that there wouldn't be enough stock for everyone.
Probably they just tried to get as many pre-orders as possbile hoping that clients wouldn't cancel when given the "news".
It's even stranger because a couple of little shops in italy located in the middle of nowhere are already allowing you to try the new galaxy s6 edge and they are also saying that they have a good amount of phones in stock (which they can't sell yet).
If they don't ship on the 10th think I will cancel my order and purchase one from the uk.

I read on the website Otto.de that the axon 7 woud come out in mid September in germany is that correct ? Has any one more information ? Because i cannot find any other website that proofs mid September ?!

ZTE advised via Amazon.de that next shipment of Axon 7 should be dispatched to customers between end of August and beginning of September. Generally bad communication and timing from ZTE in Europe. Preordered Axon 7 and the end of July and will be waiting 4-5 weeks to have it finally shipped? Not good enougth ZTE!
I also kept an eye on the one plus 3 i thought that the axon 7 is the better phone but what i read is not on axons side i read for example that they wrote an article that they unlock the boot loader in germany and 24 hours later the article was no were to find couse they deleted it . I am seriously considering the one plus 3 but i love front facing speaker ? shoudt i get the one plus 3 or wait for an maby bootloader unlock and an releas in germany ?
ZTE releases cruel software.
After some reading especially in germany.
They can promise as much as they want until I see it myself.
The speakers are nice but without unlocked bootloader the phone will never be a realistic option against an OP3.
Dont expect ZTE to release any software updates except 7.0 maybe.
If they change this in future, it could be an option so you can wait some months and look for it.
For me it's too late.
Maybe the Axon 8
If they would really unlock the bootloader from beginning and there would be good dev-support, all this wouldn't matter.
But until this happens, it's no option for me.

Exactly, ZTE Germany (ZTE Mobile Deutschland) repeatedly assured customers on their Facebook page this week, that Axon 7 will be stocked and shipped within 1st week of September. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Good that i am out of that trouble and bought my self an oneplus 3 its maybe not the best phone compared to the axon 7 but its the better Manufacturer deffinitly

Wait till it goes wrong and they make you jump through a series of hoops before graciously allowing you an RMA. My favourite was asking me to remove the back cover and take a photo... of the back cover, after already asking me to send pictures of the front, back, sides, top and bottom. My phone's touchscreen malfunctioned. After a month of infuriating emails back and forth and requests to install diagnostic software controlled by Oneplus on my pc (er, no that's not ok) I still had no rma and got PayPal to refund me the money, which took 30 minutes.
I'll take my chances with ZTE and if they can't deliver by the end of September I'll go for the Nexus 6p - Google have excellent customer service. They sent a courier with a replacement Nexus 5 when I was on vacation abroad.

That is the kind of experience I have made with oneplus and the reason why I didn't buy a 1+3.i order a axon over Amazon where I can resend it

Me too. I really liked the phone and I really wanted to fund Oneplus directly rather than handing some of their margin to a middleman, but they'd sold me an unusable device and were just taking the p*ss. I'd only buy from them again via a trusted retailer.
That sounds really bad but i am trying it Anyway
