I flashed Miui and I'm trying to go back to Windows 6.5
can someone link me a guide to put the phone back to full stock. Active sync NO longer pops up and phone is not recognized by microsoft.
thanks.
Edit: Figures, I found the answer after posting.
1. press volume down then press power button briefly
2. once in bootloader, color bars screen, plug usb in
3. run {your rom}.exe you downloaded from HTC

Enter bootloader and flash from there,, the instructions about activesync are more trouble than help, and it doesn't have to connect to activesync.
In bootloader when the white bit shows USB instead of serial you can flash.
That being said, you would find all the Info you need in the winmo section, rather than asking in the android section.
Edit ahh you found it.

Hi guys,,, just bought myself a X10i to play with,,, figured I,ve flash the thing with a rom from the developers forum,
This is where I came unstuck,,,, cant for the life of me get it into flash mode.
Instructions were as follows
1 With fone OFF. Hold down back button and insert usb cable, green light comes on and hit enter. What bloody enter, on the fone or on your keyboard. I,ve tried both, fone just keeps on booting into the main screen, nothing even resembles a flash mode screen. Tried this untill my thumb nearly bled.

Try hold down "back button" without battery then insert USB cable and then insert battery.
When it says to hit enter, that is to continue from the screen (on the PC) that says "press any key to continue" when you are doing the steps for rooting. If you don't have that window ready the phone will only stay in flash mode for about 5 seconds and then it will continue to boot. So, just make sure you are ready with the PC before entering flash mode.

check drivers (install SE PC suite and let it atleast detect the phone once in FLASH mode)...
also it might help to disable any antivirus (worked for me)
cannot enter the flash mode
Hi,
I know this post is pretty old, but still I'm struglig the second day now to get into flash mode and still no luck despite trying every method there is on the web.
I've got Xperia X10i mini pro, reinstalled standard ROM with PC companion just to make sure it's nothing with the software or any modifications I made to it.
I'm guiding myself with instruction given here:
wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/Sony_Ericsson_Xperia_Mini_Pro:_Full_Update_Guide
in order to get my bootloader unlocked
what I've done so far:
-installed Android SDK incl. SDK Tools, SDK Platform-tools, Google USB driver package. Not installed any API from SDK.
-put android_winusb.inf (18 KB size) in C:\android-sdk-windows\extras\google\usb_driver
-in general- everyting given here: wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/Howto:_Install_the_Android_SDK#Windows
command
Code:
adb devices
rerurns
Code:
List of devices attached
43423531315537465737 device
in my opinion meaning it works as it should.
So I turn the phone off, unplug the cable both from computer and the phone, take the abttery out, plug both end of USB cable where these should be, hold the Back button (tried with Volume up too) and put the battery in.
The result is it only goes into flash mode for several seconds (confirmed by SuperOneClisk log) and then goes into charging mode. nothing gets displayed on the screen. Only when PC Companion is on it detects it, than looses it and pops up with a window on how to properly connect the device... :/
So can someone please tell me what I do wrong?
Why it doesn't stay in flash mode?
PS. when I enter *#*#7378423#*#* to access the service menu, after pressing the last * the numbers just disappear and nothing happens...
Pls help
Edit:
I somehow got around that with s1tool and Flashtool. But eventually I could not go along the way given at cyanogenmod.com and unlocked with the help of this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1254225

There aren't that many settings to go re-enter anyway. I like a clean call log and text history so I am going for it. Only 15m left for download to complete and my phone needs charging
Its the loss of schaps advanced config tool (for custom theme colors) and ability to modify ringtones etc that bothers me most.
Just flashed this.
Copy/paste is there, the phone seems faster and the screen contrast higher;
OS: 7.0.7389.0
Firmware: 2250.09.13001.061
Radio: 5.54.09.21_22.33b.50.10U

How to
Been a long time flasher, with my touch pro 2 using energy roms so know what im doing.
But this rom seems different.
1. what is the correct process to flash this rom.
2. do i have to debrand first
3. do i need to install active sync, i have but it says drivers failed to load. I am running 64bit win 7
4. do i need to put it into boot loader
5. should i just wait for the official one.
6. i really dont want to do number 5.
please help
1. Correct process is you do need active sync, just make sure its the correct one for your system
2. No debranding needed,
3. See question 1
4.Yes bootloader is needed to flash with active sync
5. dont wait for official on as all updates are included.
and for other question on forum, yes all orange apps are included and seenm to be working
hope this helps everybody
i didnt think you needed active sync for wp7 devices only zune?
in anycase can someone who has done the upgrade please confirm:
1. You can go from old orange rom to the one above by simply running rom update or do you still need to copy over ruu signed file etc?
2. does the phone need to be unlocked?
3. you can use normal cable supplied with phone.
sorry for my ignorance. but everyones seems to be asking the same questions but no-one has of yet put up a defintive guide.
1. Yes you can flash from any Orange ROM to 1.30
2. No need to unlock the phone
3. Normal cable is fine
To flash, enter bootloader mode, close Zune and start the flashing utility. Bootloader mode can be accessed by pressing the volume down button while powering up. Make sure you are at 50% or above battery life.

Confirmed everything works as above.
Slightly Scary moment during Flashing where it reached 9% and then rebooted the phone but continued successfully.
After such a hype about copy/paste ... wished the function worked better. Overall performance does seem much improved.
Thanks guys, will give it a try.
did you guys extract the files using winrar and then run the ruu file or did you just double click the file once downloaded?

After download I did the following:
Disabled File Defense on my Firewall (using Comodo FW & Windows 7)
Switched my phone off.
Restarted in Bootloader mode (While holding VOL DOWN key, Press Power button to turn on)
Connected the USB cable and waited for Windows to installs the correct driver.
Bootloader screen changes from "Serial" to "USB" (bottom of the screen)
Ran the EXE (as is, without unrar etc) as Administrator
Watched, waited, rebooted ... all is good.
nice one, cheers. will it give it a go tonight. fingers crossed.
Just run my phone next to my friends. both phones are orange but his version is 1.25.
1.30 boots faster, applications launch faster and the screen contrast is indeed higher. Also noticed a couple of new features such as automatic time sync from network and the phone now goes to vibrate during meetings automatically as windows mobile does.
I had to switch off auto time sync since orange uk was reporting 20:30 at 13:00
Just wanted to say thanks to all. I did the update last night and first impressions are good. seems smoother, faster, brighter. so far so good.
thanks for your help and thanks football for providing the rom.
How on earth do I install this on my phone?
I have Active Sync installed, Zune is installed, All drivers are installed.
Booted up in bootloader, started up the update in admin mode, and it keeps saying connection error like it doesn't pick up my phone.
What am I doing wrong?

This is the steps I went through and worked first time.
1. Download Rom.
2. Download correct active sync for your system i.e. 32/64 bit.
3. Put phone into boot loader. Power off phone. power on holding the power button and volume down. this will take you to the three bar colour bootloader.
4. connect phone to pc using standard usb cable. which should say usb on the bottom bar.
5. run active sync, this should now find and connect to your phone.
6 run rom update with or without unzipping that is up to you.
7 wait for update to flash. this does take about 4 - 5 min but seems like forever.
Hope this helps anybody wanting to do this as it is well worth it.

Removing USB connection while flashing

Hi all,
I have a serious problem with my G2 which I could not solve: I used the new LG Flash Tool 2014 with stock KDZ file, everything was going just fine till I received an error message that LG server is not available, I disconnected the USB cable by mistake from my G2 and afterward I saw that it was in the middle of flashing process (12% was completed). I turned it off and tried to reach download mode again and nothing!, I'm receiving the "LG" logo and nothing- the screen goes black (it is still on).
I tried also to connect my phone to the computer- I received a list of 13 "new" local disks "H" to "T", only "H" disk is available and it's showing "image" folder with list of files.
I cannot reach "download mode", nothing is working!
I hope this is not the end for my G2..
please help me
Thank you so much!
If you could receive all those hard disks then you could maybe fix it with linux/ubuntu if you have it. Search for guides to cOpy the neccesary stuff bacK like the bootloader. I can't really help you atm as i am too sleepy.

Thank you for your reply. I found this on the sticky threads: "[FIX] NO Recovery mode, No download mode, after OTA on rooted LG G2".
I installed ubuntu and followed the instructions. when I type the following: "gdisk -l /dev/sde" I receive an error message:
"GPT fdisk (gdisk) version 0.5.1
NOTE: Write test failed with error number 13. It will be impossible to save
changes to this disk's partition table!
Problem opening /dev/sde for reading! Error is 13
You must run this program as root or use sudo!"
My device is not rooted, is this the problem?
Please help me!!
Thanks
@NNCa It says you need to run the program as root on ubuntu.
Just use sudo in front of the commands.
You need to type once your password to use sudo, you can't see the password if you enter it for safety I guess but just click enter after you typed ykur password.

Hi,
I powered off my phone by pressing volume down + power for a while ("LG" logo blinked once and phone was fully powered off).
I pushed volume down + power till I saw the LG logo, released it, and pushed again- and finally I reached the Factory Hard Reset screen. I have pushed 3 times the power, and I have got "Factory reset processing..." and nothing is appeared, even when I'm pushing several times on power again.
I guess this is the end of my G2 :crying:
Thank you all for your support, this is an excellent forum!:good::good:

Nope it isn't the end try to install the recovery again or try to push the custom twrp recovery again to the right partition! Dont give up that fast when i hear your things then its still fixable! you already got the factory reset processing so try to Push the Recovery again and search for an guide about recovery maybe Then you would probably get your device fixed.
Just read my things about simplicity so think easy and you can fix it. AND STAY POSITIVE You will repair your phone today :good:

Hi, sorry to say but you have unfortunately completely hardbricked your device. It happened to me too however I was able to get it replaced under warranty at no extra cost.
What happened was that when your phone was still detected by linux, you had a chance to recover by flashing the correct partitions to gain access to download mode and from there, flash a KDZ to go back to complete stock. However, the files you used were probably incompatible with your variant which has now corrupted your bootloader sequence. I suggest you read this reply by fizzy177 as well as the rest of the thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=51522304&postcount=118
So right now, you cannot do anything as you have already found out, no computer will recognise that your phone is plugged in. Your phone fails to boot when you try enter the download mode and it just freezes on the splash screen which looks like this: http://www.lg-phones.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/image2.png
What's meant to happen is your phone should load past that initial splash screen into this http://www.androiddunya.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/LG-G2-DownloadMode.jpg which accepts KDZ flashing and warns the device has been rooted.
So it's a blessing that your phone cannot boot as LG cannot find out you have voided warranty and you will be able to get a replacement free of charge.
Issue was solved- device was fixed under warranty
Hi,
I just want to update you all that my device was fixed under warranty! (motherboard replacement)

Hello
From past 2 weeks i am wondering on internet for a solution . Hours and hours of surfing and articles but still
Hope some one solve this issue.
Okay. First i m using LG G2 F320 K update to lollipop . Non rooted. It was working fine . I can transfer files in MTP .
But about a month ago i get an update for my phone . And after some days i need to transfer some files to my phone , i wonder when i connected my phone to computer nothing happened . No notification on mobile for changing PTP MTP option . Also nothing happened in Computer device manager..
From that day i am unable to connect my phone with windows 10. It always charging mobile.
I uninstalled all drivers in device manager and installed from LG website. I updates windows N and NK MTP update from windows for windows 10.
I changed different data cables and different computers and different ports . All stuff i can do. Still no luck.
When ever i plug USB data cable it always put my Mobile on Charging . No notification on Mobile. Also i go in setting > storage> and there is no option in upper right corner to select USB PC connection .
I am in developer mode and debugging mode is on also. Also USB tethering option is Disabled .
Kindly some one help me regarding this.
LG G2 F320K updated to stock Koren lollipop 5.0.1 . Non root.( i updated lollipop in April 2015)
Issue i am facing is no notification for Charging/ MTP/PTP Usb Debugging on mobile notice bar when i attach my phone using USB cord with computer. Also in computer device manager nothing happen. Even i checked on windows 10 , 8.1, 8, 7 .
I remember it was working like charm 4 weeks before I can change MTP PTP or Charge only mode by selecting notification when i attach it to my laptop. I can transfer files can use LG PC suit .
Then i received an software update like 40 mb and i updated my mobile. That i remembered.
After that 2 weeks before i need to transfer some books from laptop to my mobile. When i plugged my device there no notification to select MTP mode . Also there is nothing happened in my windows 10. I looked in task manager. No yellow icon in computer task manager for driver thing.
Laptop is just silent and mobile is just on charging .
Then i go to setting in LG and looked for USB PC connection settings. I wonder there is nothing . Settings > storage > 3 dot in upper right corner.. it suppose to be there . But here is no 3 dot in storage. Then i looked into share and networks in android setting and i found that USB tethering. But its faded mean it is disabled and i am unable to use this feature also.
I tried on different computers different cables , original, but nothing. Always when i plug usb mobile went on charging and in all computers nothing happen in device manager.
USB debugging is on.. I factory reset device 2 times. but useless. Also i uninstall all drivers from my laptop and then reinstall drivers from LG website also i tried google drivers , ABD, different ports. Nothing nothing happen.
Also now if i try put mobile on download mode by turning device off and then push + vol button and then put cord in mobile . No download mode also it went on charging. Well charging from laptop or from charger is okay.
Hope i explain all.

Possibly dead boot MP Rio, Help/Suggestions Please T.T

So apparently, I went home and usually put my phone into my desk.
While I took it from my pocket, I noticed the hardware buttons were lit but no display, I removed the battery to restart, during the week, frozen screen were occurring a dozen times when playing Clash, that though I didn't mind I just said to myself I will reflash the rom in the weekend.
But up to now,
It won't turn on, recovery mode or anything also doesn't work
It wont charge
Tried a new battery but still no luck
I think PC reads it but SPFT wont
Any suggestion on how I can revive my phone?
Attached is the error I get from SPFT
I don't own the A120 anymore. That is almost similar to this, as you might know.
Anyway, as nobody has answered your question, I will try to help as much as I can.
Does it give you a haptic feedback(vibration) when you try to power on the device?
Are you saying that it won't turn on completely?
If it is being detected on the computer and not on SPFT, you might want to check with the drivers you have. Do you have the MTK VCOM drivers installed? (I'm not really sure about the name, but it was something like that).
And try flashing the Stock ROM with SPFT with your battery removed from the phone.
Download the drivers.
Connect your phone without the battery and keep your device manager open, if it shows a device with a yellow exclamation mark beside it, right click and click on properties. You will have to do this quickly.
Once that is done, go to driver tab on the properties window. Select Update Driver. Browse my computer and enter the location of your downloaded and unzipped drivers.
(You might get a digital signature error or something similar. I'll tell you how to bypass that in the end. If you get that, go to the end, follow those steps and then come back and do all the steps after the downloading part.)
If the drivers are successfully installed, then unplug your device, run the SPFT and load the Scatter file of the Stock ROM.
Now select Download only and start the download, it will wait for you to connect the phone.
Plug in your phone without the battery. This should initialize the download process.
Now wait for the flash to be completed and if it is successful, take out your phone and boot it. If it boots up, congratulations.
If it does not, flash the same ROM the same way another time and check, if it is still not working, try with Firmware upgrade mode, twice. It should work in those tries.
Digital Signature Error bypassing.
I know only one method which works on Windows 8 and above(Tested).
Hold the Shift key while pressing Reboot.(Yes, you have to reboot your PC)
Once there is a blue screen with options, you should see "Troubleshoot". Select that.
Then Advanced Options and then Start Up settings. Then press Restart.
This will show you a menu with a lot of options. Select the option number which says "Disable Driver Signature Enforcement".
This will log you into the PC normally, but now, you can go back and do all the steps again and you won't get an error.
Cheers!
If this still doesn't help you, let me know on what happens so I can try to get you back your phone. Hope this helps.

Thanks bro, but I already gave up and bought a new one because I badly need an android device for my mini accounts in CoC. Haha but I am till trying to revive my Rio during my free time, this has been my phone for 1 1/2 year..
Yes I am aware that Rio is rebranded A120, I also asked from CM12.1 and AOSP LP Wiko Rainbow threads and some suggested help. Tried all that but still same errors.
No, there's no response of any kind including vibration when turning on. Hmn, as per the drivers, I've been using Tinno Driver since the jelly bean era of this phone, no problems or whatsoever from jb to kk to lp using that driver, so I thought there would be no problems. Still no luck in getting success. Using different versions of SPFT, using sp flashable Rio jb, kk, MMX A120 jb, kk, Wiko kk,lp stock roms, still no luck. Tried every port and cord. And I am using the Win7 64bit, I also resorted to MTK drivers, both the preloader and Da. Still.. No luck. Haha. I also tried, download only, format all+download, and firmware upgrade option with every possible combination from above but no success..
Thanks for your answer btw!

Can you root a Note 3 (SM-N900V) from the bootloader

I was trying to root my phone using the information/program on http://forum.xda-developers.com/ver...b6-of1-n900v-note-3-verizon-oneclick-t3333569 . The program started to run and seemed to be working but it never finished or I was an idiot who didn't give it enough time. Either way, I now have a phone that I can only get to the bootloader screen but it isn't unlocked so I can't put a new ROM on it and the factory reset doesn't get me back in. Is there any way to unlock from here or do I need to seek out and download the stock Verizon ROM and install it again via the SD card?

After you get your phone back to 5.0 stock, run the one click root again on win 10 using the stock cable if you have it, then install SuperSU. Go to thread Official bootloader unlock for Verizon note 3 by ryanbg. This will completely unlock bootloader and you can install TWRP. But read the warning thread about using the new version.
I'm new at this but it worked for me
Good luck, some of those threads have info on getting you back to normal
Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, right now I'm not sure if I'll even be able to get back to 5.0. The original USB cable is a thought as I'm not able to get the PC to see the phone. My only access is SD card so far.

If you:
- pull battery, wait 10 sec, insert battery. (USB *not* plugged in)
- startup w/ Vol-Down+Home+Power
- select "Cancel" when warning splash screen displays
what happens? Does it hang for a while before it goes back to the Odin Download screen?
I'm not aware of any method to install from the SD card.
(Maybe w/Mobile Odin but that doesn't apply here).
99% of the time if there is a connectivity issue between the phone & the PC, the issue is on the Windows side if things.

When I go through the steps you suggest, after I select the cancel action, the phone restarts and enters the boot loader with very little delay. The whole process takes about 10 seconds.
I've downloaded the stock ROM. Is there a way to install it from SD card? Can I use Odin on it to create a file the phone can boot from? It seems there should be something I can do...
Also - As for the connectivity issue being on the windows side, before this whole process, I had no issues connecting to the phone from Windows so I do not believe it is on that side...

Whew - I was able to get the stock ROM back on the phone. There was a pending update on my PC which might or might not have been part of the issue. After the restart, I was able to us Odin to push it back on. Now to root the thing again...
