[Q] Teather via Bluetooth? - Desire Themes and Apps

Hi,
I often used to connect my laptop to my Windows Mobile via Bluetooth PAN in order that I could get internet access on the laptop whilst in a remote location. Is there anyway to do this on an Android HTC Desire, or any other kind of wireless tethering?

Sorry, just seen the Portable WiFi Hotspot feature in the Wireless and Network settings. I'm guessing I can achieve the same thing ia this method rather than bluetooth

GPRS connection over bluetooth

Recently I purchased HTC P3400i. I have GPRS enabled on the device.
Using internet sharing over USB cable, I can use the internet on my laptop. But, I am unable to use the internet sharing feature over bluetooth PAN. The laptop does not identify the mobile device at all.
Can anybody help?
I think you must mention the OS in your laptop. And brand of your laptop according to me some laptop bluetooth does not support network sharing over bluetooth and on your mobile please check the button `make this device visible`........REGARDS

Bluetooth tethering application for Android

Check out this application I put together. It is a simple stand alone app for true tethering over bluetooth...

You must have a rooted phone for this app to work.
What does tethering mean?
Tethering means use your phone's network connection from your PC or laptop. E.g. if you are travelling on train you can connect to internet from your laptop using your phone as 3G/EDGE modem.

Share WiFi internet over bluetooth or USB?

Is it possible to share Internet connection which is acquired over WiFi to a computer using BT or USB connection. This way a phone could be used as a mean of wireless connection for computers which don't have Wlan card!

[Q] Pc to phone tether

I got myself a laptop, and I would like to share internet from my pc via phone to my laptop! i know that a solution for this is buying an wifi router, but i'm not interested in this.
my question is how can i make my computer share internet with my phone?
Why don't you search... answer is all around.
If you want to access internet on your pc through your phone.. you can do it by connecting through USB and opting settings>Wireless Control>Mobile network sharing. OR using Wireless tethering on your phone and access it as an AP.
on reverse way if you want to use a wired internet network of your PC by your phone, you can make your laptop a wireless AP by running some wireless router software (connectify is one).
enjoy!!

[Q] Non Ad Hoc Wifi

Hi,
I'm hoping someone can help me. I'm extremely new to all this.
I am trying to set up my MyTouch to be a wifi hotspot for my rooted Nook Color. From what I've been reading and experiencing in my efforts to get it to work, is that the NC doesn't recognize ad hoc wireless connections.
Is there any way around this?
Thanks for the help!
Jes
Sounds like you need to look for an android-wifi-tether application.
This program enables tethering (via wifi and bluetooth) for "rooted" handsets running android (such as the Android DevPhone 1). Clients (your laptop for example) can connect via wifi (ad-hoc mode) or bluetooth and get access to the internet using the 3G, 2G mobile connection or (in case you are using bluetooth) the wifi connection which is established by the handset.

Not what he's looking for. He's looking for an app that will broadcast an actual network, not just an ad-hoc connection, which that app does.
