Nice, I figured Evansville would be one of the last places to get it. What parts of town does it work in?

Where are you in evansville, im on the far west side and don't have it yet.
Sent from my rooted EVO using tapatalk!

I am right on the north side. The map on the clearwire app is pretty acurate.

Tried it out today and 3g was faster. My 4g speeds sucked, poor signal at Deaconess Hospital area. .45 and .76 mbs down .05 and .57 mbs up. 3g is 1 down and .75 up. Whats up with that?

OK talked to our sprint rep, they are only testing right now. Coverage will go in and out with speeds changing all the time. He didn't know how long before fully operational. They are just testing a few towers right now. What a tease.

The weaker the signal the slower your speeds are going to be.

It does work in South Bend. Got 3mbps downtown by the post office.

Ok I think I'm missing something. Clear shows 4g in Fort Wayne, IN but Sprints coverage show nothing there. I turned it on to see if it would connect, but it just say on scanning...My phone has connected to 4G in Chicago before so I know it works...

They are testing towers all over. Part of sprints 5 billion dollar tower upgrade. Can't wait for finished project.

Just hit 3Mbps

for the first time since ive had sprint im getting the speed they've always claimed but ive never reached...im just wondering if anyone in and around pearland can tell me if they have similar speeds....i just know this isnt going to last but still a bit excited my 3g has never reached 3 or even crept past 1
I got 9 down in beverly hills yesterday with 4G, that was cool.
lol im so excited because well i have never seen 3Mbps on 3g on sprint, ive gotten 889kbps at most, i now this wont hold up for very long because if it could my 3g here wouldnt be so shoddy...this whole town is saturated in 4g and i cant get it on my evo for more then a min before losing it and my neighbor who has a franklin 4g stick gets 2bars and 500kbps on 4g...its ridiculous
I used to get 3 mbs down speed at the beginning of last year in the St. Louis area in 3g but its slower now but 4g is about 4.95 down now.

The speed test app isn't very accurate, download xtreme labs test app, its a bit more accurate, speakeasy website I think is better then speedtest.net and just like I figured my 3Mbps over 3g is back down to 600kbps
Best I ever got on 3G was about 2.6mbps. Got a little over 7 on 4G the other day in downtown Houston. Those 10+ speeds are awesome.

HOLY CRAPO!
Is that with 4G full bars?? thats bad, i get that with 3G in philadelphia, in center city I reached 9mbs early in the morning, then I average 4mbs-7mbs in 4G!!
The 3g in my area always runs at 1.5 to 2.3 but its a small town with not many sprint users.... Sadly I'll probably never see 4g

damn im lucky when i hit 1 Mbit/sec!
I can't wait until Lubbock gets 4G or I get to go back home to MD.

Yea... I've been getting 4G at the seaport since launch. I was also able to get it at Giants stadium last week.
Im in the lower east side manhattan, And i've gotten 1-2 bars from my 12th floor apt..
like 6mbps/1.5mbps not too bad..cant wait for FULL OFFICAL 4g with always FULL 3 bars.. thats gonna be crazy
I was down near Battery Park last week and had 4G service.
Nice to know White Plains is rolling out 4G, use to live there couple years ago. Now I am in CT and they are rolling out 4G in random places right now. I have it outside at my house currently, but for the small town I live in it truly makes no sense why here.
here's a few shots of it running from my lower east side apartment:

4G in San Francisco

Well apparently its not official, but I managed to connect to some parts of San Francisco with 4G signal. I must say that not only was I very excited, but the speedtest shows over 6MBps and the web experience was totally fast and exciting!
I know that it's still probably in beta state, most likely when Sprint unleashes the 4G to the masses officially I bet it will be in full strength and the area will be a lot larger.

So far I was able to connect to 4G in Oakland (right after I get off the bridge), along market street, along embarcadero and by Self Storage 1 in San Francisco (off bayshore street).
I connected on while on the bus on Masonic just north of Haight-Ashbury, but no luck in north beach
I get 4g in some places in SF...However, I live in Sacramento and their 4g here as well.
I think Sprint uses Clear Wireless 4g network to connect us.
you can see some of the places in sf that has 4g (apparently) here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=788611&highlight=san+francisco
Hoping that Los Angeles will get it soon.
I got it in Santa Clara near Great America about a month ago..
its been up in san leandro and hayward for 6 months now unofficially. the map shows it in tracy and stockton slowly moving into the east bay. i also connected to 4g in sf at the wife's place. that would be on van ness
Nothing in Berkeley

I got 8 mbps in Concord on Sunday, 6 in Pleasant Hill, and now doing some work in San Bernadino down south and am getting 5-6 mbps, but nothing in Martinez yet but hopefully soon
Got some at the Metreon.. And in Walnut Creek and Concord. And I get full bars in the science building at CSU East Bay in Hayward.

I am sure Sprint is racing with their 4G deployments around all major urban areas (SF bay, Sac, LA, etc) so as to not get knocked off their perch by big red, which promises LTE next month.
I got 4g signal around downtown and mission district..

If I can pick up 4G where I'm at, I usually hit about 2.5-3mbps.
I go a bit north (next big city up) and I can hit 7.8mbps on 2 bars of 4G.
I got as high as 10.8 and as low as .04 (yes on 4g)
why do people make stupid threads like this??? Just shows that most of you people don't know what you're talking about. lol. the download speeds are going to change depending on where you live and what bandwidth the tower even has to begin with. and so on and more factors.
I think you are the one that is being stupid, I think this thread was made what do they get where they live of course there going to have different speeds., signal strength ..etc

Pleasant Hill/Concord area. It's spread out here. I hang out a lot in Pleasant Hill and Concord and it works really well. Full bars. I live in a town just a mile or two away and nothing (I barely get reception where I live so I had to get an airave box, but in all fairness, I live up in the hills, no joke).
4g bars: 3/4
Speed: 5,768kB/s down
~840kB/s up
Location: Frederick, MD (will post a screenie later today).
4 bars:
7.5 mbps up
.98 mbps down
Its to bad i don't live there hah.

Either that or AT&T just switched on HSPA+ here in Boston
looks good...either way it helped you out a lot!
No difference for me in dc area.
It's just 3g on steroids
Sent from my MB860 using XDA App
In Iowa City, IA, I've been able to get over 5 on a couple attempts since the HSUPA update, but typically average around 4. Definitely an improvement, especially with boosted upload speeds, but still not even close to this phone's capability.
New Port Richey on top (normally 1-1.5 up) and the poor ones were today at lunch in Oldsmar. Always poor there during the day, but can usually get at least 1. I don't think they can handle the traffic.
Mine actually went down when going to 1.8.3, thinking about flashing back to 5.7 and doing the radio mod thingy (so technical) and going back to the average of 4.5mbps. Now I get luckly if I reach 2mbps
While I was tethered last night I recorded speeds of 7.21 D/L and 1.58 U/L. This was in North Jersey.
I get the same speeds as my gf's iphone (1 - 3meg down / 1,2meg up)
So I don't think hspa+ is working yet..

Heh,
I was at my Dad's office scanning and faxing a document for a client through myfax and man I was stuck at 300kb/sec and the total size was about 16MB. Needless to say, it took a while
Two days later I get the Gingerblur'd version of the newest update and I'm hitting 1Mb/sec up and those PDF files weren't too much of a problem.
It really does make a difference.
I am in Harrisburg, PA and I can get speeds up to 6500kbps dl and 2100kbps ul. Very Nice!
