[ROM] Lotus v1.0 *Matte Sense, AppFolders, PowerWidgets,More* - Thunderbolt Android Development

Lotus v1.0 (4/9/2011)
Introducing Lotus ROM. Anyone who has used my ROMs for the Incredible knows that my focus is on full featured, stable, smooth and (I hope) visually appealing ROMs that can be your every day driver. It is my sincere hope that this ROM will make your Thunderbolt more convenient and fun to use. Please note that this is just an initial release. I plan to optimize and re-engineer all of the apks in the ROM and add many more speed/graphics/feature tweaks. If you want this to be faster now, may I recommend flashing Ziggy's beta T-bolt kernel? The thing flies on this ROM .

Features
Based on Adrynalyn's Basic Debloated (build 1.12.605.9) , fully de-odexed, rooted and zipaligned;
Adrynalyn's 2.0 Sense kernel cooked in for battery life, but feel free to flash whatever kernel you want (obviously );
Matte Sense UI; "shiny" elements from the UI have been matted for a smoother, more refined appearance;
App drawer button moved to center and mapped to modded/themed version of Maxim's AppFolders, which allows users to fully customize their app drawer;
Right button mapped to browser (more maps to come);
Power widgets in notification pulldown, themed to fit with look of ROM, plus JSChiSurf's PowerControlSettings app;
Hidden location & ADB icons, percentage battery meter, Smooth Sense (animated) icons and working 6-bar signal indicator in statusbar;
3-in-1 power menu, with reboot, hot restart, etc;
Rmk's patched superuser;
Other UI mods, including dialer, custom skinned Friendstream, News and Twitter widgets, transparent background for lock screen, Roise launcher bar, clock, settings & profile widgets & more;
Zipalign and SD Card speed fix on boot;
Apps generally considered bloatware removed;
Working Hulu add-on;
Ability to uninstall many apps (including the HTC skins) via app manager, and many more (e.g. Friendstream, Twitter, etc.) via Gscripts that are pushed to your Sd Card during flash;
Much more...
Known Issues
4g toggle in power widgets not working (yet).
Skins are NOT compatible with this ROM yet (the buttons are messed up). Will be fixed for version 1.1.
Icons can switch around when adding shortcut to home via AppFolders (hot restart fixes this), see post #62 for stock app drawer version of Rosie that does not do this and post #64 for an AppFolders version that will not do this.
Contact info on in-call screen off center. Patch in post #63.
Probably haven't matted EVERY element of the UI yet...

BACKUP!!
Perform a full wipe (data, cache); PLEASE NOTE that the updater script will also wipe parts of data for this initial release. I repeat, flashing this will wipe data! Subsequent versions will not, although it is strongly recommended that you do so on your own.
Flash the ROM;
Let things load up and ENJOY!!
Thanks and Credits
In no particular order:
Anrynalyn for his great work de-odexing and de-bloating the base ROM AND his wonderful kernel(s);
Jcase and Team AndIRC for rooting this thing in the first place;
RMK for the patched superuser app;
succia, ihtfp69 and chingy for the advanced power menu;
jercik for the Smooth Sense icons, which I ported into this ROM;
brainmaster for the SD Card fix scripts;
ihtfp69 and deficitism for their work on the Inc, which I used to learn how to cook and mod;
JSChiSurf for his power widgets, which I ported into this ROM, and for his PowerControl Settings;
Maxim for his excellent App Folders;;
signals23 for info on hiding the MRU
Chingy for getting me interested in modding the T-bolt in the first place;
If I forgot anyone, it was unintentional. Please PM, and I will set things straight...thanks!
Warning/Disclaimer
You flash this ROM at your own risk, and neither I, as developer, nor are any of the individuals listed under "Thanks and Credits", above, are responsible for any consequences that may attend the flashing of this ROM. I have tested this ROM (Lotus v1.0) and found it to be stable during my own use, but this is an early release and has not been extensively tested by multiple users. Accordingly, by flashing this ROM, you are essentially a beta tester.

Been waiting for this... Love the matte Sense look. Thanks sk806.

Dloading, backing up and trying out this Rom, That matte finish looks very very nice.

Found a bug, at least on my end. Hit personalize, and change skin. It says "Phoneo" heh, instead of Phone lol

That is rather funny...I must have put an extra "o" in strings.xml when I was modding Rosie. Will fix.
Although, I kinda like "Phoneo"...

looks like a nice rom I"ll have to try it later on... the one mod I truly have found I can't do without is the 4x5 desktop... it just makes the larger screen look less empty... only rom I have found that uses this is perfect storm...
and since you remapped the rosie by moving the phone and app drawer does this mean that my current theme (distINCtion) will have the wrong icons placed over the phone and drawer?

Anyway to remove the 6 bar signal thing. It seems like on every rom I try that has that, my signal randomly drops to 0 and comes right back.

glad to see this steve! =) good job

All that does is indicate signal strength, it has no effect on how much you get.
LOL
D

Right, but for some reason when I have that on, the signal will drop randomly to 0 and in like 1 second come back up. When im on the stock 4 bar indicator, this doesn't happen.
Also, when you make a phone call, the text of the contact name is slightly to the right. Can anyone confirm? I can attach screenshot in a bit

this is weird, the buttons on the dock bar randomly switched when clicked the home button. Now the phone icon is in the middle (offcentered) and the apply drawer is on the left again

Are you using a skin? I may need to adjust some things for the skins, it seems.
Anyway, do a hot restart and it will go away.

I see that too. I just redid the dialer yesterday and must have missed that. A compiling error for sure. Thanks for the spots.

Patch Fix for Graphical Glitches
Hi all, I plan to make a small patch fix for the "phoneo" and contact text on in-call screen issues, as well as the Rosie icons switching around (which is really weird, but I know why its happening know). Please keep reporting anything else so I can include it.
Will release the patch either late tonight or in the morning. Thanks again.

[ROM] Eris Lightning 3.02 Overclock and Apps2sd 5/12/2010

ERIS LIGHTNING 3.01 UPDATED NOW WITH OVERCLOCK THANKS TO IVANMMJ FOR HIS OC KERNEL APPS2SD THANKS TO ANDRIZOID
This is a sense based rom. If you prefer a non sense based rom but like the red theme check out ErisLightningBolt
This rom is based on the newest 2.1v3 leak(4th leak). It is pretty much stock sense based.
Full Market thanks to JCase's market fix
Some Icons from Senseable rom thanks to Jamezelle
Also some of the red themed from Androids world Rom thanks to Twynn373
Root added
Wireless tether added
APK's zip-aligned
Navigation and all other stock apps seem to be working good.
Gmail pics are working on my phone(hope others can confirm this)
Themed battery widget(I didn't make the widget I only themed it to match. Was one of the free battery widgets in market)
I have been running this rom for a few days and everything seems to be working good. Let me know if you have any problems.
Version 2.03
Autokiller added for memory management
Dialerpad update for a better look
Apps2Sd NOW WORKING...Super big thanks to Andrizoid...he worked super hard to get this working for everyone..
Verison 3.01
Overclock up to 710mhz thanks to IVANMMJ's OC Kernel
A few minor graphics fixes
Removed Stock apps and amazon mp3 app
Install setCPU and use autodetect frequencies to overclock.
Patches to pick your battery indicator can still be used with this release.
Version 3.02
New kernel overclock up to 864 or so but I don't recommend going over 768. It will very by phone after that if you can handle it. It will probably lock your phone and need a battery pull. Thanks to Zanfur for great work on this kernel. I have made an update to go from 3.01 to 3.02 so you don't need to wipe.....3.01to3.02 update
***Warning apps2sd may shorten the lifespan of your sd card. If you would like to run this rom without apps2sd do not partition your sd card***
To get apps2sd to work you need to:
1. backup your sd card(copy all your files on to pc)
2. boot into recovery
3. select Partition sd card
4. select Partition sd
5. when that is done select SD:ext2 to ext3 you can use the default values when it asks
6. Flash rom then you can copy all your files back to your sd card.
Extra big thanks to all the great minds in this community that take the time to help us all.....

The word ERIS on the top of the screen is actually the battery indicator in case you didn't realize that....
Also on first boot you will see a custom Icon for the market. Unfortunately the market is installing an updated apk automatically which will revert that icon to the original market icon. If you want the red icon go into settings/applications/manage applications, find market and uninstall updates.
Usual disclaimer use at your own risk, I am not responsible for what you do to your phone.
Download this Rom from HERE
To make it easier to switch to whichever battery indicator you prefer to use I have made updates to flash over the rom. Just flash them like you would install a rom but DO NOT do a data or davlik wipe first. You must have one of the ErisLightning roms installed first. You can flash back and forth if you want to use different battery indicators at any time.

A few people have said they were having trouble seeing the writing on the dialer so I made a no wipe update to change them to white...enjoy!!!!

A simple thanks is just as good but if your inclined to do more feel free to
Looks very cool
very very cool looking.. thank u!
Nice!!!
Flashing now will repost in a few hours w/ thoughts/bugs or whatever.. but bad ass looking theme thanks man..
UPDATE:
So I have been running the rom for about 12 hours or so with pretty heavy usage and I have had no issues at all mms check facebook sync check no dropped calls check everything i could test is a go and i tried a **** load of stuff.. It does get a little slugish from time time but nothing horrible and I so will trade it for stability which this has..Only thing i did notice is what the member below stated is on the dialer, the colors could be shaded different or something like I had to call a business yesterday that does one of them toll free numbers like 1800xdacool "just a example" and I was barley able to make out the letters colors.. would like to see one in blue lol... j/k thanks for the work again great job..
Love this theme!
This rom is really cool. I didn't think I would like the red theme but it feels very comfortable when you turn it on. The only negative for me is that I have a hard time with the red phone keys because they are a little bright...if they had some shading they would be easier for me to use. All in all...a great theme rom and I will probably use it for a while. Thanks!

Yes I meant to do something with the keys before but forgot to do it...I actually did shade them a little more on my phone. Here is an update. Its pretty much the same with some darker shading to make it not so bright.

Thanks for the feedback guys....new release see original post
Great rom. Pretty quick.
My only complaint is the "ERIS LIGHTNING" contacts placeholder message in the Dialer.
I would change that to something like the Vanilla dialer's phone icon, only red or a red android (even though most dislike the android guy.)
I'm assuming the newest version is a data wipe update?

updated original post...all credit for overclocking goes to Ivanmmj for his new kernel.
this is looking particularly awesome.
and finally not another BLUE rom. everybody LOVES fricking blue. pffft.
I'm getting a broken link to rapidshare for the download.
Got OC working? sexy
how far does yours go? 767 or 710?
Re: [ROM] Eris Lightning 3.01 Overclock and Apps2sd 5/9/2010
not a fan of the images in the text boxes, but I can live on.
wallpapers don't work though. I set one and it doesn't change. this happened after I restored sense with titanium. its stuck on that default bokeh wallpaper, trying to get back to the carbon fiber.

when you say wallpapers don't work you mean you can't change the default one at all? I have no problem changing the wallpapers so not sure why that is happening and some of the graphics are still a little rough around the edges and I am trying to update them slowly...
andrizoid...currently only going to 710
it was on the default one, I restored sense ui using titanium so that all my widgets and shortcuts would come back, and the wallpaper changed to the brighter bokeh wallpaper in the gallery (the default to evil eris, what I was using before)
I restarted, all fixed.

Description:
ROM is based upon the Captivate little brother, the I9088 from China. At this point it is pretty much stock but in future releases I'll be theming it to look like a vanilla AOSP Froyo. For future features, look below. The intial release will be pretty much stock for the most part. I've added plumbbob's gps fix. Added google apps and working updated market. It uses the JK4 modem and Speedmod k13c kernel. More changes in the changlog below.

Just wanted to say it's been uploaded and the download link is live. Thanks!
KP5 is nice. Been running my own version since it came out. Smooth and stable. GPS gets me less that a 5 second lock. Other things work well too.
Good job.

I agree so far. It seems pretty stable and fast. Getting rid of all the bloatware was kinda hard while keeping FCs happening and getting the very latest market to work. I had some issues with the gps until I put Plumbbob's fix in it. And finally got navigation working. By the way, can you help me figure out implementing the lockscreen mod on this as I can't find how to do it anywhere for any ROM.
just wanted to say great work man. i cant attest to battery life (just flashed this) but reception is good and overall feels very fast (dont forget to enable lagfix people.
whats i would like to see:
lockscreens (which u are aware off
gps instead of data on notification bar (guess thats person preference though)
and when you hold down the power button you dont get all the other option (i find reboot to recovery pretty useful)
i made a circle batt mod for this (using uot kitchen) type a (i think? lol)attached if anyone wants it
(note this battery if for version 1.0, tested and working but im not responsible if it causes your phone to become a terminator and try to kill you, or any other crazy stuff)
Can you give me a link to this UOT Kitchen as I'd like to add some battery mods in the future. And I'm currently working on the power menu and lockscreens.

Swype keyboard gave me plenty of FC. I dropped it. The ginger bread keyboard worked for me only after first boot and using fabulous fix. Since the stock works fine I stayed with it.
I am guessing GPS was not as good for you. I actually like(could be better though) the stock gps. I have tested others and I do not yield as good results. Until KP2 I have never locked on to 10-11 satelites in less than a few seconds. 3-5 of those signal was over 40(never higher than 43).
with the lock screens see PM.

sounds pretty good. it may be false but ive heard speedmod is much better and only to use suckerpunch if your overclocking?
(my priority is battery life)
i guess i can always just flash speedmod over it lol.
(another thing ive found that u may want to remove is the "battery full charged *beep beep* indicator).
by no means am i trying to be a hater, just wanted to help find anything that can improve this rom for you, i, and the community

Yep, I just am not a huge fan of speedmod due to the way the screen looks but I might just keep it as the default one and just flash suckerpunch on my device. Either way next release will have the kernel flasher app preinstalled. I'm also working on adding a update.zip for the android keyboard if anyone would want it.
Would you be able to leave a unthemed (TW) version of it too? To be honest I am quite fond of Samsung's TW themeing (coming from a Motorola Milestone, I have had enough AOSP)

PLEASE CLOSE (ThunderStick MIUI-ICSBread v1.0.0) <DEAD>

THIS THREAD IS DEAD
This is my first shot at a AOSP style ROM. Hence the leanest ROM I have put together. This is based off of Droid Vicious's release which was based off a Galnet MIUI port. A lot of credit for this ROM belongs with D. Vicious but I figure I could help push this along with what I have been able to accomplish thus far.
Originally this ROM had quite a few bugs, still has a few. This is good enough for a daily driver (ive used it for over a week now) which is why I decided to release it.
I have a lot of great plans for this ROM so stay tuned as this is gonna grow by leaps and bounds (as time allows, stupid clocks)
First the thanks,
Team MIUI for a whole new outlook for Android
Cyanogen for additions taken from CM7
Google for Android
Team G..... (unspoken in these parts)
For combining both ICS and GB to birth this
Droid Vicious
(assembling the team to work this one out to work on our ThunderBolt)
BUGS
-MMS not receiving but is sending
-Force closing market when side swiping app screeshots
-Data icon is stuck on G, you are connected to 4g, 3g or 1x despite the icon verify this with the speedtest app from the market.
*Fixed the phone settings issues by reorganizing the settings (ThunderStick)
*Fixed the updater force closing problems by removing the updater.apk (ThunderStick)

+Removed MIUI Control Panel
+Update system button launches Rom Manager

Wow. See, this is what's awesome about the dev community. You can take where someone left off and continue to improve. Thank you Thunderstick for continuing Vicious's hard work! Flashing soon!

Nice. I don't use mms but the extended phone settings is huge because it affects my Google Voice settings. Well played.

Thanks Thunderstick! I thought you had left us for a sec since your other roms haven't had much action on their threads. I will certainly be flashing this when the bugs are worked out.

This rom runs very well right now. The blend of miui and ics is a good one. Curious to see what battery life is like tomorrow. Good job on this.

wow....great rom
This looks fantastic. Finally, a developer who knows how to make a rad rom and also makes it look aesthetically pleasing.
I have a question before I download, does this rom support CM7's theme manager? I like MIUI's notification bar but it's a hassle to modify.

Thanks so much for the time you put into this ROM. Looks great!
One question though. In the original MIUI ROM by Vicious there was a bit of a bug with the audio. Particularly (for me) when using audio output with the AUX port in my car the sound was very "tinny" or scratchy even. Is that problem still present in this ROM?
Which version of extended settings would you recommend flashing?
EDIT: Flashed V2 and it worked perfect.
So mms is sending, nice gonna have to try this after work. Thanks

I second this! I'll donate for it!
I'm working on a MOD for this...
It will be available later on today or tomorrow possibly.
For now though i am concentrating my efforts on getting the data notifications right.
Sense ROMs are slightly different when it comes to this I am finding. The challenge is exciting though...

Hi,
I always a big fan of thundestick and loving bareback now. Good job on building an ICS rom with working data. Does the faceunlock and app switcher work in this and also does it have any issue with the camera? Please let me know before i can try this. Thanks again.
rom ran great all day
battery life great
love it

My First impressions with XXLPH

As I always say, for noobs, but not kids
A HUGE thanks to sammobiles for leaking these ROM's, whatever some gobs say don't matter, they have been doing splendid job for the last three months, from the very first ICS leak. All I know is, no sammobile, no ICS leak, you don't need to be developer for this, but just common sense.
Never said this, but should've, a lot earlier.
• How did I install? Normal Odin (Desktop) way. PDA, Modem and CSC, skipped the App boot. It will definitely Wipe your device. In previous occasions I was flashing with Mobile Odin but the Modem and CSC always got messed up at the end.
Q- How to restore Nandroid backup taken with a kernel but not CF?
A-
Simple. Flash that kernel (Siyah for example) in Recovery (Hope you're already rooted with CF LPH kernel) >> DO NOT reboot system, but reboot in recovery >> You'll have Siyah recovery now, simply Advanced restore Data, wait till it restores >> Again, DO NOT reboot device >> Power it off >> Go to Download Mode and connect the device with Odin in PC >> Flash the CF LPH kernel >> DONE.

Well maybe I did it the hard way, cause I am a noob, you know a better method? Please do that and ignore whatever I've said.
• Chainfire root for LPH:

• Mod JazzK battery mod from kitchen:

Previous leak was XXLPB, impressions were at,
• http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1477672&highlight=my+first+impressions
• As usual good phone calls, in call volume is loud enough both in earpiece and speaker. NR is present.
• Vibration intensity is same strong as before.
• Same incoming call UI. Answer/Reject sliders don't work! I hate it.
• 480x800 wallpapers are working properly on both homescreen and lockscreen.
• Market is fine. No problem in downloading.
• WiFi, 3G/H+, Bluetooth all working. WiFi signal remains with the upload/download icons.
• FM Radio works.
• Network mode is present. Strong signal in 2G as it should.
• Swype is same version, Beta 3.26.92. The Swyping color is changed to Orange, lol. The default keyboard is QWERTY now, not QWERTZ.
• GPS lock is fine both in GMaps and GPS Status.

• Camera and Video Recording is working as it always did.
• 1080P FLV video played damn smoothly with Stock player. Good.
• Same goes for HD YouTube videos.
• Same stock email app UI, it's nice.
• Browser (Stock) is buttery smooth and a pleasure. Flash plug-in works.
• The 3D kinda feel in TW launcher remains. But still no loop support for homescreen and app drawer, weird.
• Annoying ICS lock screen remains
• I have to say that the scrolling effect is completely different than previous leaks, the elasticity is present but it has been decreased hugely which makes the scrolling much faster. You don't have to scroll five, six times anymore to go down to the end of a big web page.
Not same as GB, but close.
• Face Unlock works . I am not sure but I think there is a new option added called 'Automatically Lock' if you select Face unlock or Pattern as lock method.
• Deep sleep works absolutely fine. On stock kernel atm.
• MHL/HDMI works, with Audio. Thanks to Spy0rs for informing.
• Connection with my desktop worked at first try.
• Call logs don't have compact view. Weird. As soon as you call a different number the previous dialed number shows as a different entry and doesn't count in in the same number group. Bad for a heavy callers like me.
Smart input does work however (or whatever it is called).
• Chrome Beta browser freezes after opening.
***Major CONS I've found so far and should be fixed***
► In Stock browser, Calender and some apps only the default font is applicable. Any other font other than the default won't take effect.
► While editing something in the stock browser cursor selection is weird. Hence it's almost impossible to edit any article/paragraph.
► Vibration and sound should work together without the help any third party app.
► Call logs don't categorise numbers in to compact mode. A big drawback imo.
► While refreshing email in stock email app it doesn't show any sort of notification or pop up saying refreshing or anything, so it's hard to understand if the emails are properly refreshing or not. It was there in GB, should be included here too.
► Answer/Reject incoming call icons won't slide, really? That's disgusting.

••• So far so good, touch screen responsiveness is at par with LPB, I didn't notice any decreased response like sammobile mentioned. Scrolling as I said is totally different from previous leaks. Looking all good till now. Better than LPB, but marginally. •••
*** Definitely a daily usable ROM ***
•• Video ••
As I always request please come and post your feedback on this ROM if you are already flashed and using it, both Cons and Pros. Please comment if you have downloaded form sammobile, others downloaded from any other place please don't comment.
Thank you.
Regards.
Some screens.
great job, as always, thanks for your time.

@ithehappy Check PM.
Good summary.
If only it kept the stock ICS look. I know this horse has been beaten to hell and back, but all that effort/time/money to make something that, in my opinion, looks like crap.
Funny enough LPB is probably the most stable ROM I've used since the official GB ROMs from Samsung...
And before someone says theme, no, it's just not the same as CM9 and you're sure to find it's like lipstick on a pig at some point (incoming call, unlock screen, etc)
Anyway, I'll probably flash it, lol. I love the ICS apps and features enough to overlook the appearance.
Ty @ithehappy this is really much appreciated and very fast two top man....
I agree, your reviews help a lot. I flash every leak but it helps to see issues that I may not notice right away and it gives me an idea of what to expect.

My Swype keyboard is QWERTY, but still QWERTZ Samsung keyboard here (I had previously LPB ROM).
What is the correct CSC file to get the QWERTY keyboard? Y tried the *#272*IMEI# "trick", but I only get Sweden config choice

In first place thanks for your review, it's great.
Details like wallpapers and scrolling made me happy about Trebuchet well i don't really like me so much, i prefer Nova for the moment.
Mmm the issue with the call logs, i can live with that

there is no app to overclock, stock kernel doesn't support oc, you have to wait for kernel sources and then custom kernel.
Thanks for doing this service OP, I was not going to make a move on this until I saw this thread, you claim it is a daily use ROM, so I am going to flash based on that, you better be right else I'll be looking for you, haha, just kidding
I have a question though, a no wipe version has been posted, but I have never seen you mention if you do a no wipe upgrade from a Gingerbread ROM or if you factory reset after the upgrade or anything like that, can you please clarify this for me???

Any Apps that are not in the Rom that you want, add them into the Rom by using 7Zip, and the stock Rooted Russian Rom, or I could upload a couple for you.

By removing alot of the Bloatware, my Battery life has greatly improved. However, to improve your Battery life even more:
If you dont mind not having emails for a while, (when at work or out and about busy)
Use the Toggle Buttons on the top. Turn off Mobile Data (It will lose the 3g + 4g symbol but you can still make calls)
Turn off Auto Sync
Also go to settings - Accounts and Sync - Turn off Background Data
I know this creates a DumbPhone, however if you dont need Emails and data draining battery at that moment, its a good way to save Battery!!

I can't sync my Samsung account, therefore I can't use the samsungdive "find my Droid" feature. This is essential to my piece of mind.

Most probably due to the removal of certain apps, i removed them due to batterydrain, and ram issues. You could download the untouched no bell bloatware rom dsixda posted ( the old forum) then use 7zip and transfer over all the apps from that rom, to My modded rom, ( except systemui.apk)that way you have the apps back and the mods.

Is it possible that you could make a custom ICS Rom for this phone? That or a Cyanogen mod Rom?
Ics will be possible once it's officially released, and cyanogen is a different story, Alot of work involved!!

Yeah.. Unless we have the kernel for the upcoming ICS ROM there is no way we can get a decent or stable CM9 ROM.
Ok Guys, I have a New Rom. DexRom 1.0 ICS (Theme)

There is a known issue with some Samsung devices like this one and the Infuse, where a software Reboot to Recovery causes the device to always reboot to recovery instead of back to the system. Read my CWM recovery thread for details.
Overclock is not possible without a custom kernel. I don't believe we have kernel sources.
I am currently using Nexus Torch for flashlight. Been using that since the Nexus One
