ARC <3 I am loving it Thanks cisoprogressivo for this comparison

Just had my new Arc yesterday. I ever see promotion video clip about Arc, that show the camera can take picture even with no light and flash. I remember the video clip just like a people put the camera in a hole of a box contain a ball. And still can capture a ball picture.
But however I try... I still unable to make that happen with my new Arc.
Q1 : Is may Xmor R cencor (or some kind like that) broken?
Q2 : I don't have HDMI cable included in the box? Are U all too?
Thanks

Already find answer for Q 2. But still expercting someone can explain Q1.
GN Multimedia-Xperia Arc

Can we get some user taken pics up for comparison.....mine just doesnt seem sharp enough...

this is the clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZtBZOXiASQk
they say low light, it works but t's not the wow factor great, but it takes perfect pictures in low light with flash on.

Xperia X10 vs HTC Desire Video Camera Test!!!

Take a look at this youtube test Video youtube.com/watch?v=BYnTR-BGNHU[/url]
I for 1 am lucky i went 4 my x10 can always get the new updates and a gr8 camare
X10 is so much better
sharper, more vibrant
Better fone all 2gether
Yes video playback and picture quality is definetly better, but I feel overall Desire does seem to function better and with less bugs.
X10 looks better, screen size to my liking but too many bugs. Potential to be a cracking device but not quite there yet, where as Desire works better out of the box.
Hmm, curious how you have the same traffic passing at the same time in both those videos.... ;-)
It could be two persons, each with one phone ? If you look at the angle's and positions you can see that its not the exact same video...
itz the same person holding 2 phone in 2 hands...........
HAHAHAHAHAH...... thought that was obvious.. apparently not!... Yeah.. X10 camera rules..
My wife has X10, i myself have a desire.
They could at least have cleared the lense on the Desire, and maybe tweaked the settings at bit... ;-)
Alltogehther, X10 has at better camera, but the films we have made havent made that profound difference.
Biggest downside using the deisres videocam is the awful sound- its really crap.

Example photos?

Hi Guys,
Had my Desire HD for 5 days.. thinking of selling it and buying a Nexus S!
Just wanted to see some examples of photos taken with the Camera?
I've no need for amazing photo quality but still want something reasonable to justify the hassle in switching.
Thanks in advance
I took this picture in a completely dark room: Click to see how well it turned out
Also when you check out that picture, I have a picture of a fluffy green android I took, that was in a relatively dark room. (It's the one taken after December 16th)
Thanks for the reply... link doesn't seem to be working though?

Awesome thanks ... works now i'm at home so must have been my work PC playing up.
Looks good, pretty sure i'm going to swap
* UPDATE *
I'm now a proud owner of a Nexus S .
Went into my local Carphone Warehouse and from the minute i held it i knew i would buy it!
In my opinion it's positives over the Desire HD are:
- Speaker clarity and volume is 10x better
- Handset feels like a perfect size and weight (Desire HD was very big and heavy)
- The Super AMOLED screen is amazing!
- The camera takes photos and videos that i'm more than happy with
Good luck mate, its definitely a better phone than the hd, but the hd is a better spec
JD

Thanks.
Yea i agree the HD is a great phone but for me just not practical.
I found typing on the HD a real pain and made endless mistakes. With the Nexus S it's easy
Welcome.
I also think my NExus S is beautiful.
You know, after spending the last few days wading through trolls who came to this forums just to trash a phone they don't own, don't have any intention of buying, and never even held, it sure is refreshing to see a post from someone who acknowledges the shortcomings of this device and yet, is still satsified with it because it is, in their opinion, right for them.
Thank you for this thread, OP. Let no one else but you decide what is right for you.

EDIT: uploaded preview without resolution fix
I'm downloading the Arc's system dump right now. Apparently, the Arc's launcher is surprisingly good and fast. Will let you know if I get it running on the Desire.

i've tried this: http://www.multiupload.com/2YETWLF218
Only Home.apk, in the first post i've uploaded the preview on Desire without resolution fix
It's really smooth, but the interface isn't as good as many other launcher's.
Nice to see that it works anyway
just tested it out, like the little animations but nothing really special.
Looks nice and works good can someone make a better port with resolutionfix and the other sony arc apps ?
Thnx

I find the Arc launcher very good, better then launcher pro or the gingerbread ones... Would love to see this working in the correct resolution! Is someone capable doing that?! Certainly hope so...

The buttons below are normally on one line for start. Further should the home button looks like a house. Also on the left there should be an arrow I believe... just search for it on YouTube..

Post Pictures from your Xperia Play!

Hello Everyone,
I haven't seen anyone start a post for this yet so I thought I would get the ball rolling. The only edits that have been made to these photos is resizing and reorienting. I've also made some comments at the very end.

I know some of the critics knock the XPlay for not having the best camera, but I think hardware-wise it is pretty decent. The problem is the software that it comes with, which is the native android camera app. It kinda sucks!
* No touch to focus
* No metering options (which really blows....highlights and all)
* No focusing square to tell me what it's focusing on (it highlights the whole screen)
Thankfully since it's a software issue hopefully it will be remedied...either by Sony for the hacking community trying to port over the Xperia Arc/Neo Software.
Anyways, please post ur photos if you have a XPlay!
Here are some if mine

Pictures of one of the "knights" at Camelot, my dog, and my daughter feeding the goats at Camelot. I'm fairly sure you can work out which is which!
I find the flash tends to wash out the pictures, but I believe this is true of all camera phones with LED flashes.
BLT hehe

Oh yeah, forgot to mention, I use the Vignette app rather than the stock camera. Lots if options available there.

Can you adjusting the metering with the vignette app?
Amongst the many other settings, yes.
Was bored waiting for some friends this afternoon, so I played around with tilt shift a little bit.

There'll hopefully be a cheaper model, like the Neo is ~€100 cheaper but has almost the same specs.
Do you think this is how our ICS update will look like?
I dont think thats ics its gingerbread from what I can tell. And yh neo is cheaper but its rubbish I hate it, so fat and chunky. The only thing I like about neo is the front camera I was really surprised how good the quality was.

my opinion:
looks good isnt it?
But they better keep arc design with front facing camera and better material
and call it xperia arc 2nd gen.

very Good!
Looks fascinating.
Plastic!! :-O
Come on SE you can do better than that!! Great design BTW!
Aww... it looks so... cheap and generic. The lower part looks really awful (what is that anyway? It does not even have the same black as the upper-part).
Let's see how well the camera performs (compression, bandwidth).
Gesendet von meinem LT15i mit Tapatalk
On tweakers.net they say there is no microsdcard and it has microsim.
No expandable memory would be a dealbreaker for me..
In design, it is very nice. I hope its performance is like its design.
omg!!!! so sexy 100% my next phone.
I do not like it...to thick and rough... Back cover like x10 is good but front... In case Arc - it is perfect beautiful...and this is business black case...
