I'll note that I loved Meijer when I was living in Indiana. Don't have 'em out here in California, and I wish they did. Great store.

Yegads, my apologies. I was in a rush, saw "Meijer" and $531, and jumped to conclusions. Thanks for the clarification (and patience) and I'll check it out.

Looks like they pulled it from the website, as a search for Xoom shows "We couldn't find any results for xoom, but we found 958 matches for room."

Yeah sold out...

No results for "motorola xoom". Or did you mean material zoom?

[INFO] ASUS Transformer launch in Singapore

http://www.facebook.com/asus.sg?sk=app_197846136904015&app_data=event
They are launching it at 9am Apr 18th.
I'm excited. Hopefully it's not more than US price.
Great Let the deving commence in Singapore
If it comes with 3G, I am getting it immediately!
aaahhhhhh i envy you singapoerans... send some down to indonesia please
Preorder start tomorrow at 9am. They haven't announced the prize yet, but it seems that there will be incentives for early adopters.
Got mine for SGD$699 with free keyboard dock. Not bad after all. But it seems like there are quite a few versions of this tablet floating around.
The Singapore version is TF101-16
CPU: Nvidia Tegra 2 Dual-Core ARM Cortex A9 (1.0GHz)
OS: Andriod Honeycomb 3.0
Display: 10.1” WXGA (1280x800) IPS with capacitive touch
Graphics: ULP GeForce GPU
Memory & Storage: 1GB LPDDR2 (667MHz) + 16GB eMMC Flash + Asus web storage
Connectivity: 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi & Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR
Camera: 1.2 Mega pixels (Front); 5 Mega Pixels Auto-Focus (Back)
Pad Interface: 1x Mini HDMI, 1x MicroSD Expansion Slot, 1x Audio jack, 1x Docking/Charging Connector Port
Docking Interface: 2x USB, 1x SD Card Reader, 1x Charging Connector Port
Audio: Hi-Definition Audio CODEC, Stereo speaker, Microphone
Video: 1080p HD Video playback
Battery life Up to 16 hours* (With docking station)
Features: Built-in GPS
Warranty: 1 year international warranty (Eee Pad)
6-months international warranty (Docking station)
I wonder what's the difference between models. Hope it's not hindering custom ROMs
thats not a bad price at all roughly 400 tablet and 150 USD for laptop dock. there was no option to buy just the 16gb? what were the incentives?
The incentive is that the combo is supposed to cost SGD$898 when it's launched
Got it at SGD$699 as well..actually all in all it's still slightly cheaper to pre-order here.
SGD$699 vs
US$399 + US$150 = US$550 = SGD$685 + 7% GST = SGD$733
I just wonder the warranty in US is the local warranty or international warranty? Anyone could help to answer this?

Toshiba excite 7.7 vs samsung 7.7?

Was wondering if anyone had any thoughts if I should just wait for the toshiba to come out instead of buying a samsung 7.7, both have basically the same screens, the toshiba comes with ics (whereas the samsung is still awaiting that) the toshiba has a better processor, etc, but is heavier and larger, anyone else have any thoughts? One advantage to buying an unlocked international samsung tab 7.7 is I could use it as a phone, whereas the toshiba's phone capabilities will be stunted when it comes to the us. I was holding off for the toshiba, because the screen, and the powerfull chip, but i got tyred of waiting so i bought the p6800. Only regrets?
no ICS. . .
"whereas the toshiba's phone capabilities will be stunted when it comes to the us"
I didnt really get that
is it only gonna be stunted in the US? or it it gonna be stunted everywhere?
the excite have phone call capabilities or not?
I got this tablet for the screen. Halted before purchase to check out the toshiba excite. The clencher was the tegra3 processor. A developer that made a screencasting app can't get it to work on tegra processors, and the only reason I wanted a tablet to screencast drawings I make on it. I know I could have gone with the new ipad, but ---bleck, I hate apple....
Someone get the tosiba 7.7 and we will have devs working to port ics over here ^^

Has anyone seen it in retail?
I've been scouting local Best Buys, Fry's and Office Depot. Nothing in my local stores yet and I've been looking at the overstock in the cages. Best Buy has it listed but that's all...
I think its out next week. I wanna check it out too.

i just bought the Tab 7.7. But if this thing has phone capabilities too then this means I can use my ATT unlimited data phone sim with it. Will likely make the switch. Waiting to hear back from Toshiba about it.

Hi MaxETHAN,
I'm new here but I've tried a few media players myself recently. Not sure where you are but I've bought two locally and looking at trying a 3rd this weekend.
The first one I bought was from Vision on sale for $69 (currently on sale) called the KT-609. It's an unknown Japanese company that makes it with no site to get data from. At first it had some bugs but I think I caused those myself. LOL. It's only a 1GB memory and 8GB nand. I installed the most updated Kodi apk file on it, not from the Google Playstore, but from the Kodi site itself. I haven't had a problem with it in forever and now use it in my bedroom as a streaming source. Not that my couch isn't awesome to fall asleep watching the big game on, it's more or less sleeping in cause of no alarm clock to wake me up and make me late for work. Oooops. LOL. I've tried apps on it and it works well. I've added a wireless keyboard and mouse and it worked perfectly.
I just recently purchased the Minix Neo U1. I heard so many amazing things about this box. The first thing I did was upgraded the firmware. That was my first mistake. I should of researched it first as some have reported bugs. I've had a lot of problems with Kodi and XMBC crashing a LOT. I mean 20 plus times each! Plus when poking around to see it's options, it freezes up. Even just checking out the apps section it crashes. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with the firmware update but... eh. I'm going to keep playing with it this weekend to see if I can keep the box stable. Right now, I'm not a fan of this box. But that's not to say I will change my mind if I can fix the issues. Sorry to be so wishy washy on this box but..... OH, I added that same wireless mouse and keyboard to it and it froze a lot too. Had to keep unplugging it to reset it.
The third box I'm getting this weekend to try out is the Seiki Media Streaming Box at Canadian Tire. I know NOTHING about this box and even posted here if anyone has any info on it. From the stats I've read on the CT site, it looks smokin good! Plus return features are a HUGE bonus. Like 1 year exchange warranty, if the box dies or has problems 8 months in, you go get a new one. No hassle.
Sorry I couldn't be more help but another option is if you have a laptop with an HDMI output. I've used FreeTelly on my laptop and hooked it up to TVs at friends places who refuse to get an Android box. FreeTelly is basically a special version of Kodi with all the bells and whistles already done for you.
Good luck and please let me and the rest here know what you decided to get and of course, give a review so we can all help each other.
