[Q] m2 stuck in moto logo - Milestone 2 General

hi,
i was installing a couple of apps via apk file the other day and a couple of them needed a restart. once i've restarted the phone just got stuck on the moto logo with the purplish gas cloud effect in the background. ive tried the factory reset but to no avail. removed sd card, left sim card then booted - no go.
is there anything i can do via sd card or windows to resolve this issue? i am using windows 7 ultimate 64bit.
your suggestions will be very much appreciated.

The only way how to solve this problem by yourself is probably flashing your Milestone 2 with RSD-Lite. It's likely that you find a how-to somewhere here in the MM2-forum.

[Q] Droid 2 Problem

i recently tried to install matt's epic unleashed 3.0 rom. the install completed and all, but when my phone booted up the touch screen wasnt working. ive booted into the stock recovery and erased everything but it still does the same thing. is there any way for me to sbf my phone?
Don't have too much knowledge of that ROM, but I still want to throw in my two cents... When you turn on the phone hold the "up" arrow key and it should go into the bootloader screen and be ready for an spf.
thanks man thats exactly what i needed
edit- nope, nevermind. it boots to the flash screen but when i connect it to my computer it says the device malfunctioned on my computer screen
yea, this is bad. its not sbfing, rsdlite doesnt complete, any ideas guys?
Ok after it says "failed" or whatever is it going into bootloops? Try powering on and holding the "X" key and then you should get the android with the triangle symbol. Press the "search" key on the keyboard and wipe cache and factory reset. Then reboot and you should be all set.

[Q] Bricked My Droid X Help!

I was rooted with z4 and unrooted before I decided to do the gingerbread update. I did and went through the updating process. Upon reboot my phone froze within 10 seconds of fully loading after the restart. I did a battery pull and it repeated the process. I have restarted the battery multiple times and have even tried to reboot in recovery mode and was not able to bring up a menu in recovery mode to do a factory data reset.
Please help I actually work for an Indirect rep for Verizon and need my phone to do business.
one other piece of information if it may help when I do boot up the phone will go to a black screen with the notification bar still visible on the top. I cannot get anything to happen on by boot screen either.
Please give me any information that will be of assistance
from what i have read u need to push vol up+down when the droid! comes up to give u the options to wipe. try that out if not. time to sbf

That's correct. If on GB, it's both volume buttons...if on Froyo, it's the search button.

thanks rdannar! it's worked!
i used your instruction (STOCK RECOVERY):
1 - with bravo turn off hold volume-down + power button
2 - with triangle and android on the screen hold volume down + volume up
3 - scrolling the "voices" with volume buttons on the wipe data... and confirm with power button
4 - after 2-3 minutes the bravo restarts at factory conditions
Thanks danner on my next day off i'll try to post a SBF Issues thread or something to HOPEFULLY prevent you from having to explain how to view the menu on stock recovery yet again XD
rubbachicken, in my country we say "no one is born learned" (Naples to be exact) .... is 2 days that I try on the net without finding anything about it .... and tonight I decided to disturb you surely know more than me ... I hope this post serves as to who will be in this situation. rdannar thank you again for helping me.
He wasn't trying to be a jerk. It has been pointed out a lot of times how to fix this problem. On that I remember when I posted the fix myself the first time it took a lot of searching. So we understand that there is no one spot that says how to do this and making one topic on this would help a lot of people. So don't think he was calling you out our anything, just pointing out an obvious thread discussion ;-)

Recovery not working?
I know how to boot into recovery, but after I flashed the stock .sbf and tried to wipe data as previously said in this post, once I was on the screen with the triangle and Android, I couldn't go any further. I tried pressing both volume buttons as said.

Reboot into recovery by pressing vol- and power button together then wipe data.wipe cache. Wipe dalvic cache. Then flash ROM and gapps

did you repartition your internal memory for CM?
It may be possible that your /system is not large enough for your stock ROM.
Flash CM again and see if it works,
(if you are not sure about partition size,in terminal emulator type df -h, and report how much you get for system. for stock you need 200+ MB)

yes i had installed cwm. i had updated my cell from froyo to cynogenmod 7 about 2 or 3 months ago using rom manager and cwm. and this time i was trying to try something different rom and its very hard to remember what went wrong.
also as u suggested i tried download tpt helper but i couldn't find a way to install tpt helper from play store. my phone is not going further from the dell logo, once i press the power button the dell logo appears on the screen and remains that way no matter how long i leave it to process further. dead end. i think its the situation that should be called "bricked"...:crying:
