[Q] stupid android question - HD2 General

hi i d like to know if there is an easy way to port wm 6.5 from htc hd 2 to htc desire hd?tkx a lot

Quick answer: Nope
Frankly speaking, it is stupid idea to port awful WM to the real Android device.
Why do you intend to do this?
Buy HD2 and use both WM and Android (... and Ubuntu, etc.)

HTC HD Mini Question

Hi guys,
I am completely new to the whole Android stuff so forgive me if my question sounds stupid.
Anyways,
I am interested in getting a HTC HD Mini but I hate the fact that it has Windows Mobile OS on it. Is it possible to run Android on this phone right now/or will it be possible in the future??? And if so,is it going to be running like the normal android with all the features, etc???
Thanks so much in advance,
Dogan
Hi. Considering the fact that HD mini is quite equal in price to the Legend, why not get that one?

[Q] please help

hi how r u every one
i want to buy htc phone and i like htc hd2 & htc hd mini
but my quation
is it possible to remove operating system (windows mobile) from both of them and replaced with android system?
and if it is possible >>>>can i return back to windows if i want ??
another quation
whats best hd2 or hd mini
thank you alot
If your real target is Android OS, might as well go for Aria, instead of HD mini. Aria is the exact twin of HD mini, in Android version.
As for HD2, go get EVO 4G instead. They're both the same bananas. Except for the different OS, and some minor modifications.

[Q] Which one should I buy, HD2 or Desire?

I want Android Phone, for the first moment, I think I would buy Desire, but after search alot on XDA, then I got Confuse, cos HD2 Is very good to handle Android.... I want purely using Android on HD2 (Windows doesn't count).
Should I buy HD2 or Desire? what pros and cons each of them?
please help me to choose....
sorry for my english
Well seeing that you posted this in the android section your answer is most likely to be an hd2 but this has noting to do with question and answers snout android on the hd2

I have Nexus One and HD2. I love them both
HD2 with android is real fast, faster then my nexus (your HD2 can have 1900 point on quadrant standard- my nexus only have 1650)
The digitizer on HD2 is easy to break (a lot people have screen response problems)
The battery on nexus one is last longer (U don't worry to run out battery in mid afternoon)
If they both cost the same for you, then you might as well get the Desire HD. The only reason people put android on the HD2 is because it was the only 4.3" superphone on Tmobile's network, and it was crippled with Windows OS.
If you only plan on running android, I would get a native android phone.

its better to run android nativly. get the desire,
if you want a HD2 running android, get a Desire HD,
HD-2 is only cool because we can customize the SHYT out of it. Flash a new rom every day if you like. With the Desire HD you will most likely be stuck with the same ole same ole and that may get OLD to you after a few months. So you have to decide if you like doing what most of us do wich is Flash the He11 out of our phone.
First of all we dont 'flash' anything by putting and android rom on out sd card. Secondly the desire hd can be rooted soon, and there will be tons of stuff 4 it! Youre askin this question in the wrong forum. Why? Coz we all have leos! The answer is simple: if u want native droid, get the desire!
I like the developement, so im sticking with my LEO!

hd2 on desire hd rom will be realy sweet.
and to answer your question, like someone said earlier,hd2 has one of the most impressive hardware during that time when it was released and it was crippled by winmo.
not that winmo is bad or anything, its jus that winmo target mainly business users and not for entertainment.(etc ifone)
so you get a powerful fone with crappy software making it a test to you as a human when using this device.
if you got $$$ to burn, buy desire hd.its android and the fone is build for it.
you wan to tinker with your fone, buy hd2,tinker away and bliss out on your sofa.
take a look at the forums and read the android development,Q&A for hd2.you can get all the answers to whatever questions you might have to ask.

I m currently using wm 6.5 created as-well by...XDA...
I m Hoping that after android and wing-Linux attempts...
is there any chance for ios....
it's impossible
different hardware

Windows phone 7

can we upgrade this phone omnia 2 i8000 to windows phone 7.1 or 7.5 or any 7. version ?
Sorry, but there is no way to do that. WP7 is based a bit different than WM6.x. So, if you like WP7 then by a phone with that OS or you can get HD2 and have WM6.x, WP7 and Android on the same phone, like me

I love this. If I have understood correctly, you are saying that you can run WM6.x. WP7 and Android on the same phone? Which one? HD2?? or also QTEK 9100
SE Xperia X1
SE Xperia X2
HTC Touch Pro
HTC Touch Pro 2
HTC 7 Pro
HTC HD2
I have an Qtek 9100 and would love to play on it
tx foe letting us know!!
You can run several OSs on HD2, not the QTek.
HD2 is the best phone I ever had, so if you like to experiment with ROMs and OSs than buy HD2 and you will be pleased with it. Unless, you need keyboard....
What´s the difference bwn the omnia2 and the hd2 that enables the latter to run w7 but not the former?
And do you have a multiboot installed or you have to re-flash the mobile to run a different OS?
I´d like to buy the same phone as I´m used to the old winme and i´m not very happy with android either. Just to have more options.
