Hi do any one know how to upgrade motorola dext with fireware version 1.5 to 2.1 it seems motorolar is delaying in upgrade of the said device.

What is the latest OFFICIAL stock U.K (via Kies) firmware out for i9000? is it 2.3.3? or is 2.3.4 out yet?
And also has there been a final final stable version of Cynogenmod7 out for SGS too?

But how about change UK official 2.3.4 rom to other countries official 2.3.4 rom?

it's possible for you to change to other EURO 2.3.4. but impossible for stock froyo or any other custom rom (cm7/miui).
Concerning downgrade, we should try the procedure found by Defy owners.
They already had this downgrade problem (when they moved from Eclair to Froyo), and found a way to do it with a nandroid+sbf flashing. It should probabily work for us as well...
Take a look in defy section on xda, I'm a bit on a hurry and can't search for you right now...

I am a UK Milestone 2 owner. When I got the phone, it had 70.12 bootloader and Froyo.
After the official Gingerbread update, I was able to go back to stock froyo, as well as custom froyo AND gingerbread ROMs, using RSD Lite, so have no fear - it's *NOT* impossible to go back.
What? Are you serious? Can you be more specific about it then. As far as we've already seen, nobody (except for you right now) was able to do downgrade from stock GB. It looks like you have some sort of magic M2 (no-efuse version)
I`ve read on this forum about engeneering versions of MS2..

In Europe the WWE-ROMs are used. The latest one is 2.42.405.2-WWE, but there was an OTA update recently which updated it to 2.42.405.4.
So if you want the latest official stock ROM which has the update included you'll probably want this.
