FULL 3G PRLs - Oh YEA! - EVO 4G General

52341, 52299, 58008 and Verizon Alltel Hybrid PRL.zip are all new PRL's.
These are for testing.
For all the babies out there who don't like my posts, get a life and go join another forum! Most members would like to have the information out there to research and test. I love this forum and have learned alot from it. Although I've noticed you can't give a little credit to people without them still bitc**** about not getting all of it so none will be given any more.
Anyway, enough of my ranting.
Techknowfile's PRL's are quite old now. They still work, but will not have the most up-to date towers and channels.
I live in eastern ohio and use the 52341.prl.
Step #1: Download and unzip
Step #2: Follow Techknowfile's instructions for flashing. Here is his thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=696073
Step #3: Test and Enjoy!
Step #4: Give me some Love
The 5XXXX PRLs are strictly Verizon/Alltel PRLs, the SprintVZWPRL is a PRL that was designed for Verizon guys that wanted to roam on Sprint. Which is sweet for us Sprint users that want to use Verizons/Alltels towers but swich back to Sprint if there is no service.
P.S. - These PRLs DO show when your roaming. Please post your speed results and which PRLs work best for you so others can benefit. Use at your own risk, some have been terminated for roaming too much. These are being posted for testing purposes only, dont come crying to me if Sprint whacks your fingers!

FOR ME
Reserved for later.

Could you explain the difference between each prl file please. Looks interesting. Might have to try this out. Is there a speed difference?

Not trying to troll, but you should put a disclaimer in the op that with continuous use of non sprint prl will result in contract being terminated..
There are reports of this in the general thread and on android central. Just a thought so no one starts blaming you or any other member who post these Verizon prl's. Lol they will go on a witch hunt... ha ha

OMG! Thanks. I was going to do some research over spring break on compiling my own PRL, or finding some verizon ones.
I hope one of these works for me!

Yeah I'm a firm believer in C.Y.A. Not trolling just a friendly reminder to OP. Thanks for the work on this, I'm going to try the verizon/sprint one.

I assume this has to be applied while on a sense rom? And if applied while on sense and i nandroid back to cm7 do i lose the new prl? or would it stick if i just flashed cm7 over sense instead of using nandroid?

sweet ! will keep this bookmarked

Man thx i get horrible service where i live and i hope this verizon\sprint one will help me out.

So wait is it right to say by loading these you can use both sprint and vzw towers to get your cell service?

downloading now

Mine only works for phone service. Still connects to Sprint's data, except 999ms ping, instead of 300.
;(
Tried every prl out 2 times and speed tested 3 times each time.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App

not working for me, high ping, low speed with sprintvzwprl. connected to vzw tower

i have bad sprint signal will doing this give me the good verizon signal at my house.

excellent post.... I will look through my prls and see if I have anything you don't have posted and share what I have
The best method of using these is to only use them when you have to... but teto
These have saved me at work where I have no sprint 3g or 4g at all...
at home and other areas I use wifi or 4g

I download the sprint/verizon prl and when I opened the folder there isn't anything in it? Anyone else have this issue?

this is why im debating if it's worth keeping cm7. id like to be able to update the profile, utilize phone codes for data resets and update my prl's. i do not see why the cm team cannot get these to work, i mean they got 4g & hdmi.
at least give us a prl that we can flash, using qpst is too time consuming, so is flashing sense to do it.

It's possible to flash a PRL update but someone has to pull it from their phone first. There was a flashable version of the last PRL linked in this thread.

since I can't multi-quote (**** is broken)...
In my area there ARE towers that are messed up and the cs reps told me that it wouldn't be until July before they're fixed. The cs handed me off to a manager to see if there was anything they could do for me. (remember, you gotta play dumb and not 'ask' for the airave LOL)...
The manager suggested a credit for next month's service for my primary line (the expensive one). While he agreed that the credit doesn't help me to utilize the services that I'm paying for, the credit is a good faith gesture from them to show their appreciation and keep me happy. (Of course I didn't turn down a credit that they offered without me asking ).. While I had the manager on the phone, I said "I've heard a little about this airave thing that's supposed to help with signal, what is it ?".. after he told me what I already knew, he asked about my internet connection and a few other questions and said that I do qualify for the airave but that it's $129 and that there's a monthly fee. I asked him if there was a new 2yr contract and he wasn't sure (neither was I).. he checked on the contract thing and found that there was none. I asked him if there was anything he could do for me on the price of the airave and he said that 'he' didn't have the ability to change the price, but that 'accounts and billing' might.. so he transferred me to accounts and billing where the awesomeness came out.
The thing is, I complained a month ago about service/reception problems and they told me 'then' that "once we get the towers in your area fixed, we will issue a credit based on the amount of time that you've had problems with service.
I do not think they'll just send an access point out without some history of 'troubleshooting' or at least a history of calling in w/ service/reception problems at home.
Also, your home internet connection has to be 'good enough' for voIP as well. They suggest at least a 3meg connection (I have 20 )
Setup was really easy and once setup, you can access some of the settings online in your sprint account under "devices and media"...
If this helps, hit that juicy thanks button
if not, I'll take a BLT sammich

Welcome to the gingerbread era.... we've got a first class ticket to flaming with a detour through some lurking nobodies
Sorry, I may have conveyed what I originally intended to say very poorly. I have an evo right now. I had an epic the day it came out and had 3 lemons. I then returned the last epic and picked up an evo. I am coming back to the epic and remember there was data issues earlier, specifically network throttling. Thanks again.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
Oh yeah we've had many modem and prl updates since the original release heck were dabling in the gingerbread cookie jar as of recently with two new modems that we're trying out.... 3G data speed seems pretty good for an average user....
I can't say much for 4G as there's no real control for that as far as no one(including me >:l )having it like we do 3G lol
Meh, 3g sucks for me, but i think thats just sprints' fault
I am having great data speeds on 4g. No complaints here. Also Wifi Tether speeds are twice as fast as my good friend's EVO. We use my Wifi Tether all of the time instead of his on our laptops.

The data issues as stated by a few others are intermittent, and generally a "sprint side" Issue when they do crop up.
Enjoy and welcome back.
Don't worry bout Rumprover up there in post 2, his kind is generally ignored for the most part as the grammar and punctuation Nazi's are a waste of rebuttal.
I have never figured out why they waste the energy to post such useless attacks.

So 11115 is faster?
01120 doesn't have much 3g roaming. 11115 does though.
The 01120 is sprints corporate prl they sent that out for people who travel a lot so you'll probably have better coverage on that one. The 11115 prl was regional that not that many people got. Please just read the second thread in my sig it'll explain everything.

Actually that is incorrect. 01120 was Sprint's 3G roaming "test". It only had 3G roaming in a few states. It was replaced with 11114 and then 11115 which added 3G roaming to just about anywhere in the US.
11115 will have the "better" coverage. It's also not a Preferred network only PRL, meaning if the SID that your phone finds is not even in the PRL it will connect to it with 1X Data/Voice. It won't connect with 3G of course since your phone will not know the subnet to use for EVDO.

You seem like the person to ask with as much knowledge as you know about phones and all the work you've created; good grief. I am stuck with Sprint and cant leave until next year without paying ETF; long story short; get terrible service and have airave (only works half the time and have 3 replacements-sprint does not want to address to issue; and me being on a SERO account probably doesn't help either) but someone in a different thread mentioned about a sprint diagnostic tool that you can use to force your phone to Roam verizon towers and get the boot rather quickly from sprint; unfortunately he said it was only for samsung devices; http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1774503

I didn't know if there was such a tool that could work for the evo shift that you knew of since you work with other devs and know A LOT about A LOT of stuff. I searched google a bit then headed over here of the forums, but couldnt find much in regards to it for my phone. thanks in advance
EDIT
I came across this for the HTC EVO, not shift; but maaaybe http://themikmik.com/showthread.php?16026-On-The-Fly-PRL-Change-PRL-Changes-With-and-Without-a-PC
Why don't you just put your phone into roam only mode. Eventually Sprint won't want you any more...

I thought the PRL would need to be changed to something different; I will give Roam Control a go and keep in Roaming...thanks
No you don't need to change your prl. Also, Several Shift ROMs like newSENSE Supreme Sense and StockMod have roam only as an option built in so you don't have to buy roam control if you don't want too.
