[Q] rooted G2 screen suddenly white with black lines can I HTC replace? - G2 and Desire Z General

As the title says, my G2 suddenly developed the white screen with black vertical line in the center issue. I've read the other threads with this issue- my question is will I have problems having it replaced by HTC because it is rooted? Should I just buy a new screen and replace it?
The phone is receiving notifications as normal, but nothing can be seen on the screen except white/grey background, vertical line in the middle and eventual (in about 2 mins or so) darkening around the corners. The phone was not dropped or anything, was just in pocket- took it out at some point, turned it on and this was what I saw.
hope this is in the right forum. any assistance/advice greatly appreciated.

so no advice from anyone who may have already sent a rooted phone to htc?

G1 with messed up screen.

Hi,
My daughter's G1 has started to develop an issue with the screen (two months out of warranty...). The screen doesn't appear to be refreshing properly and there are several lines or what appear to be previous screens running horizontally across it when closed. This is started as a problem when the phone was closed and appeared to disappear when it was open, but it is now happening either open or closed. I'm pretty sure the phones been dropped a few times.
Is is worth me opening it up and checking the seating of the ribbon cable connectors or does this sound like a more serious fault?
help! same issue
not finding much info on the interwebs, but having the same problem. My display appears to be interlacing horizontal lines of the widescreen and normal (closed) views. Also when moving between homescreens, apps menu and status bar. Any help, links, etc is appreciated.

Re-seating the ribbon cable hasn't made much of a difference. Can anyone suggest where the fault is likely to be? I don't want to shell out £20 for a ribbon cable only to find out it was the screen or main board.
I had this problem with an lcd that cracked... not all the screen was messed up just the bottom half... but the top had vertical lines jump from nowhere (red and green i think, its been a while) and the screen would almost always have a faded lockscreen in the back

Upper half of Nook color display remains white

Hi All,
I have a nook color running CM7.
Few days back all of a sudden I saw upper half of the display remained white, though the touch is working in white portion too.
And when I turned off and on the nook, 5-6 times the white part of display first started to show multi-color very narrow strips (like bad reception on TV) and then started working. And to my bad luck just next day it went back to same situation and now remains same always.
The upper half is always white when turned on, touch is still working even in the white part.
I know how to tear apart the nook. Any part of hardware where I need to look, any guidance will be highly appreciated.
(I have snaps of the screen but do not know how to put the image here )
Thanks a lot in advance.
can anyone please take a look

Screen problem

Hi everyone i have one problem.
I have zopo c2, chinese mtk6589 device with 5" full hd display. Few days ago i dropped it and it landed directly on front screen. Vertical white lines started to appear and everything was covered with ghosts as i was swiping or opening apps. Today i spotted there are no more vertical lines but my screen is still kinda of blurry. Should i replace LCD or is it possible that some cable disconnected or maybe something else? Any help is appreciated.
EDIT: Vertical lines and ghosting returned when i charged battery

Help with ghost touch!

I have a Lenovo Vibe K4 Note. Its been more than a year since I bought it. Some day before it started to develop white spots on the border of the screen. It expanded and covered the whole upper half of the border of the screen(only the border). Then in the white spot there started to appear silver shiny thing which appeared to be like a foil or something. But this didn't got any serious problem until my screen started malfunctioning. Suddenly when I was handling the phone it started touching here and there in the upper half of the screen automatically. Its been 2 days I am having this problem and at this second the situation is that I can't even unlock my device properly l because when I go to enter the pin it automatically start typing. It's not two or three touches but its way much faster auto touch. About 6-7 touches every second are happening. I need help. Is it software problem or a hardware problem? How can I solve this?. BTW it is working on Android 6.0 (ROW S232). Any help would be greatly appreciated.
