Some would say that launching a device called iPhone a decade after the whole i- prefix went out of style would be a pretty bad decision too.
Edit: btw this entire thread belongs in Sapphire forum.

All I can think of is that Simpsons episode where they rip on Apple and call them "MyPods"
no keyboard = no buy

There is a small bump in RAM and ROM and a 5MP camera.
Stickin' w/ the G1. I don't like phones w/o qwerty keyboards.

Flan is No More! Froyo is the way to go

Well...just read this.
The next major release of Android will NOT be named Flan. It will instead be named Froyo, short for Frozen Yoghurt. And yes, I say yoghurt with an 'h' because I am British.
LOL, its a funny name.....

The hell accent do you have? lol
We say 'Yogert' as opposed to the American 'Yo-gurt'.
I don't know of anyone who pronounces the 'H'
Also, i prefer Flan tbh

Cyanogen prefers fnord
Many Americans spell as Yoghurt, but the h is silent. Very typical in such a mish-mashed amalgamate of a language.
How about Android 2.0 Fruitcake

Depends if you're BRITISH.
Typically, there's the british way, and the american way. American spelling tends to be easier.

It is funny, I had an Irish colleague whom always wanted to debate this. I am one American that fully agrees it should be Aluminium (though I would not dare pronounce in that manner, lest I be beaten and left to die for being anti-'merican). If you look at the elements around Aluminum, they all end in "ium". A non-Chemist (from the U.S) endowed the element with an incorrect name, and to this day people in the U.S. are too stubborn to change. The Revolutionary War has been over for 227 years (cf. Treaty of Paris 1783), people need to get over it

Wow, thanks for that!! I never bothered to research why there were 2 very similar ways of spelling.
I suppose, and no offence to anyone here, It's just pure laziness. Kinda like how americans decide to shorten 'through' to 'thru'. The only place in the UK i have EVER seen that is at a McDonalds 'Drive-Thru'
Flavour/Flavor, Colour/Color anyone? Hmm.....

This makes sense to me. This is a way to differentiate words ending in -our, for which the vowel is unreduced in pronunciation. Virtually all nouns in the English language ending in -our are derivations of Latin nouns ending in -or. The "u" was later added after the Norman conquest to represent French pronunciation in English words. It is "more" British to leave out the "u".

I used to teach English in Bangkok, and my classes previous teacher had been British, and so I had to learn all of this to explain to the students why we worry about something so trivial.

Sounds like an old Eddie Izzard joke that I heard:
"...it's prounced HERBS, because there's a bloody H in it."

Frost

Everyone show support for krylon360 and TW, and just control themselves to wait for, as always, the most reliable cream of the crop from them.

I SAY just hold your breath until that happens. then when you lose those functioning brain cells that you rely on you will lose enough IQ points to actually believe that frost is on your magical dragon that you make calls to the netherworld.

Live broadcasting for Galaxy S2 in Korea!!!

If you want to watch SGS2 but well, it's Korean.
It will start at 6:30pm PT at here
http://www.samsungtomorrow.com/1129
Kind of funny the Brits get it first. I think Koreans should go riot in front of Samsung HQ and demand why the company is turning on its own country.

Genius advert!

http://t.co/Dn9jSm6
says it all really!
Dont understand a word but its funny lol
Sent from my R800i using xda premium
The advert is Brazilian, and it basically says "Xperia Play: that's how you play with a smartphone". The Xperia Play is kind of huge in Latin America, and seemingly the Latin American Xperia Plays are built in Brazil. There's another successful advert which says "For the gamer inside you", and it goes like this:
Latin American adverts, particularly the Argentinian ones, are way better than average.
Touch screen gaming at its finest
I liked the ending
