[Q] MIUI-CM7 app port - G2 and Desire Z General

I know as i've seen others ask if its possible to port certain MIUI apps to (normal) ROMS that it's hard to do since they are so tied into the framework of the ROM but are there any Devs out there who would be willing to port them or maybe create a "clone" app that would do exactly the same? I just think some of the MIUI system apps have features that should come stock. Like the 1.)File Explorer (it seperates everything out within and even seperates zips from jpgs from mp3's etc.) 2.) The Music App (Automatically downloads lyrics, album covers, has ability to check file size so ringtones and stuff dont show up etc.) 3.) The Backup App (Integrated backup to store apps, contacts, messages etc.) 4.)And possibly even the Camera.
I would be willing to make it worth anyones while that could FULLY port any of these to CM7 (specifically the PYROMOD ROM I use) Thanks!

i also like miui

I found MIUI Camera that works for CM7.0.3. However, the picture quality is the same as CM7.0.3 stock camera app. I still like MIUI Camera interface though.

I would love to have MIUI Music app on CM7.0.3. Anyone?
Cheers.

some of the apps are reliant on the framework.apk (same reason most sense apps cant be ported to ASOP)... but some aren't... trial and error my friend

Hi,
Anyone has file manager from MIUI?
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App

Is there a non MIUI rom whit MIUI like notification toggles? Sense 3.0 has toggles too but they need to be scrolled to access some of them. if thei could be aligned in to 4x4 grid in sense 3.0 i would love that, and swipe left/right to switch between notifications and toggles. and of course, open the toggles right away, if there are no notifications.

[Q] Original HTC stock apps-Android

I have a HTC Desire and I recently installed a Gingerbread ROM with Oxygen, and I really miss the HTC flavour. Is there any way I could have HTC Sense or at least the stock apps back on this rom?
P.S.: I hope that I didn't post in the wrong place...
The gingerbread Rom is an ASOP Rom, sense programs will not runn as they need the associated HTC files also, if you run a sense Rom with another launcher over it you will see the programs will run but the widgets won't load, again they will only work with the sense launcher. You can get apps that replicate the look. Get Beautiful/fancy widgets for the clock, but the best is to get launcher pro and pay for the extra, the widgets are very similar

I feel ya bro. Get fancy widget to hold you over till its Ported.

I found those apps in a rom, and as you said, it ain't work... It doesn't even install, only the camera app which crashes.. I wanted HTC Music back, but, fortunately, I found the Honeycomb leaked Music app, so it's cool.
Does the contacts app work in Oxy Ginger. I like the facebook pictures sync. Now all of my contacts are without pics

The Sense contact app won't work. Try SyncMyPix from the Android Market insread. Perhaps it can help.

[Q] Is there an app similar to miui's messaging app?

I really like the slide down from status bar msg notification from the latest mui rom.

35 minutes? seriously? have some patience
i used to copy MIUI music apk to typhoon CM7 because i liked the music app and i dont like MIUI. maybe you can do that. just find the apk from miui system/app and copy it to CM7 rom. and dont forget about permission. really important.
the slide down notification maybe a little hard. maybe you need to just give it a try.
ok will give it a try tom
thanks for the heads up!

Gallery app

Is there any way of hiding some pictures in the gallery app? I've got a bunch of pictures that's not supposed to be in there like album art of mp3s... I hope there's a way to hide 'em.
Download Quickpic from the market its free & much better than the stock one! It can do what you are wanting to do, plus more :0) hope this helps

There are a few apps in market that will do it... one that I can think of off top of my head is vaulty free.
Pandora is another app that allows you to set up a password protected private directory for those images you do not want to be seen.

Yes, I got the APK of the Home Launcher of the XPERIA GX. It was made for Sony devices running ICS, I tried to make it work on my SGS3 but I couldn't. The Sony launcher is a master piece of work. It's so beautifull and usefull.
I will donate with paypal to the one that ports XPERIA GX Launcher WORKING with widgets to the S3. I want to stay on Stock ROM and just replace this ****ty touchwiz launcher.

Can anyone give me links to firmware/apks/.dex
I'll try to deodex apks first
Why not use Xperia Home as launcher.
The one attached works.
But the app drawer is a bit messed out.
Let me try adjusting.
Go on Preferences > App Drawer.
App Drawer Rows = 5.
What about the sms app? The one found on xperia T is simply gorgeous

Hope apps after deodexing and signing will work
Walkman already ported, works perfect.
Album already ported, but sometimes (very rarely) work like a crap.
I''ll port xperia T apps:
SMS app
Launcher
Only this for now

Note: This is work by ra3al.
This is the closest to an Xperia Launcher on the SIII.
Unfortunately it is made on GB (2.3) so it runs in compatibility.
And doesn't support features like Resizing widgets which are specific to ICS.
We're still waiting for a port from Xperia GX

I'm just downloaded apps signed and zipaligned them.
After testing, I'm discovered some apps working without libs, some not. I'll extract libs tomorrow and create cwm zip with them.

other than stuff like clearbass equalizer, surround mode, download music info rest it pretty easy to port

Watching this space & hope the porting works (esp Email,SMS etc).
Album works fine here with lib(libalbumframework.so) included. Have been using Home,HomeAdd & WidgetPicker since day 1 instead of TW, only issue is resizing widgets. SemcNotes working perfect paired with Evernote for gmail backup etc. Walkman, no issue at all (with all the its xtra dependecies).
Not my work and thanks go to the XDA community dev for the work...much much appreciate
I'll decompile XPERIA T laucnher tomorrow and check dependies
