Assuming you meant 2.5.5.
I used it on my stock EC05 and it worked fine. If it won't connect, I'd try reinstalling the drivers for the phone or try another USB cable or port. Did you remember to turn on USB Debugging? (Menu>Settings>Applications> Development)

Turn on USB debugging mode and unknown sources and then restart your phone.
I always do this with SuperOneClick and it works every time.
Remember to install SE pc companion before root
or u may learn it from youtube (jz search x8+root+superoneclick)
1..First try SEUS Repair or flash with stock firmware 2.1 update1 (2.1.1.A.0.6) with latest baseband.
2..Turn on USB debugging mode and unknown sources and then restart your phone.
3..Then try with SuperoneClick or with X8toolBox.......

I had a problem with running Droid Explorer service, causing conflict with adb. Make sure you kill Droid Explorer in Task Manager before attempting to root the phone with SuperClickOne
as far as i know
1. enable debugging mode
2. plug phone in chargeing mode
3. use SuperOneClick
and that should be preatty much it
Download SOC v.1.7.
Turn USB Debugging mode on, but don´t connect the phone yet.
Click "root".
Wait until it says "waiting for device"
Plug the phone.(Don´t select anything at the popup, there´s no need to do this!)
That should do the trick, as it worked perfect for me and my sister on Vista, but it should work on other Windows verions too.
It didnt work on XP both flashtool and superone click:/

EDIT: Do you have installed net.framework 2.0+ ?its necessary for super one click
Toolbox also didnt work, just stuck at: waiting for device... ok i will do it on other computer i think
stock rom - not rooted , cuz i brick it and need to do everything again..

So the device driver is already installed but still no connection, maybe you should turn on usb debugging, try this:
Go to Settings, Developer options and check USB debugging then connect your usb. If it doesn't work, then your ICS update may have caused the problem. You may have to restore your tablet to HC and recheck your usb connection before upgrading to iCS. Good luck!
Did you try this?
Under Settings/Storage there is a menu in the upper right corner.
Open it and then check MTP.

Good info, I wonder if the ICS update disabled this setting? That would definitely cause the usb connection problem.
I know from the GNEX that it happens sometimes if you're flashing a custom ROM so I thought it might be the same case here.
I just updated to .17 today and I'm still having the same issue he is. I haven't tried installing the driver, but my TF101 doesn't connect...
I updated from the .zip here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1546113
I guess it may be because I had the problem before the update so the simple update didn't fix it.
Is flashing the .zip from this thread like a new ROM? Will it wipe my data??
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1334673
Thanks for any help!!

Did you try Nebucatnetzer's advice on Post #10, that may help? Click the MTP off and on a few times just to make sure then leave it on.
Yeah I did try that, and I turned on USB Debugging as well just to see if it would work. Still no luck Does anyone know if the ROM from the "[UPDATE] CWM - Stock + Root - 9.2.1.17 US Updated pi/2012" thread does a full wipe like it's a new install? Or is it just the update itself?
Quick question, what is your Bxx serial? Asus started changing code midstream in the B70 tabs, I have one of them and it's acting differently from my B50. That's one reason I favor an ota update rather than manual, the update codes may be different for different serials.
At this time I suggest a full backup then a factory reset to stock Android. You may have to go through a lengthy update process so make sure you're plugged in and fully charged first. Good luck!

Mine is a B50. The reason I manually updated is because I rooted it a long time ago.... Anyway, I'm going to do that and just let the OTA's roll through. Hopefully I get my USB connection back! Thanks for the help!

Good for you, my B50 is doing great after ICS and yours should be no different. Make sure your wifi is exclusively servicing your tab so there's no interference. Be patient, it will finish in due time. Talk to you later!
If we already have this thread. Does any one have an idea why adb can't see my TF?
Driver is installed, devices shows up under device manager and I can access the storage. But adb isn't working. USB debugging is checked.
It works with my GNEX though.
Updated to ICS, lost root and usb connection. I have the drivers installed and nothing happens. I've messed with MTP, USB Debugging and nothing works. If I boot the transformer into recovery and then connect it to my PC it can see the connection but does not have the proper drivers for it though.

Help Lost USB and Root

]My wife's s4 stopped charging in the wall and would only charge on the PC. I figured out it has a bad USB port. Tried cables chargers etc... I went to unroot her phone and realized that when connected to the PC it only has charging capabilities. I can't connect to it via Odin, Kies or even see the sdcard. So I thought maybe I can do it with mobile Odin or Supersu. This is when I realized her root is not working. Not sure how long this has been because I only rooted it so I could hack her candy crush game. Lol. Now I have a phone that shows up custom when turned on so I can't take it to AT&T and no cable connection to get rid of the root. Any suggestions? I also tried downloading Supersu instead of Super User and it wanted to update the binary but failed. I never flashed a Rom on it, just rooted.
No USB
Broken Root
Can't get replaced due to phone showing custom on boot

Forgot to mention I can access the sdcard from PC wireless through WIFI File Transfer app.

USB doesn't work and new ROM requires different radio

Alright, so...I flashed PSX 8.5 on my Nexus 4 and the radio doesn't work. Baseband version says unknown. Should be easy to fix, right?
Nope. My USB doesn't work for data. I've plugged in my phone to many computers, and they all say Port Reset Failed. Now I'm stuck with no signal (so I can't use WiFi to put stuff on the phone) and no USB connectivity. Basically, I think I'm S.O.L.
Any ideas?

What was the ROM and radio prior to you flashed the PSX 8.5? Can you connect to the Internet through your data plan? If yes, then download a flashable zip file for the radio 0.84 and then flash it in recovery. For a flashable zip radio, search for it.

Previous ROM was Cataclysm 4.4. I cannot connect to anything, except for I'm now seeing that Bluetooth may work. If it does, I can just transfer the old ROM back to the phone and flash that way. Hoping this works.
Bluetooth will pair with another phone and Windows 8, but not connect.

I thought ADB doesn't work if the device is not recognized by the computer. Am I wrong?
Anyone else have an idea?
It might be related to SELinux. This most likely won't work, but assuming you have root and terminal, you could try switching selinux to permissive (# /system/bin/setenforce 0). Or if somehow you have selinux in settings-about phone (CM...), tap that a few times to switch the mode. Most likely won't work though.
Other than that, take the phone apart and fix your usb port, or exercise your warranty (since we're dealing with a usb issue..).
This is why you make backups or otherwise have an emergency plan. Especially so since you don't have a functional usb port.
Reboot into recovery and use adb to push the radio or a complete ROM to your phone.

Unable to connect via USB to computer?

Okay, so I'm trying to plug my Verizon Note 3 into my laptop in order to transfer some photos and videos. However, there's no "USB Connected" notification that shows up on the phone, and the computer only recognizes "Samsung Android," and the drivers for it fail to install. The phone DOES charge, though.
My phone is rooted, so I unrooted by reinstalling the NC4 kitkat build via Odin. This didn't change anything. I've looked everywhere, and people keep saying "Go to storage settings and set to MTP only," but I don't see that setting...anywhere.
Since I rooted my phone, I have all the Samsung USB drivers, and I even have Kies installed. Turning off USB Debugging does nothing.
Is there any way to fix this?
I need to use a standard usb cable rather than the note 3 cable for mine to work.

I had the same problem with no solution, i ended up uninstalling Towel Root and then doing a factory restore to get back the USB connection capability on my phone.

Did you get the latest drivers from the Samsung website? I only ask because when I went to install a rom for the first time Odin wouldn't recognize my phone in download mode but did while I was booted up normally. Come to find out the drivers I was using that was linked on the page where I got instructions how to root and rom were old. I went onto the Samsung website and downloaded the latest drivers and all was well. Give it a shot.

Yeah, I've tried the USB drivers from Samsung's website. I also tried installing Kies. AFAIK, Kies automatically installs the latest drivers for Samsung devices, but when I plugged my phone into my computer, Kies wouldn't even recognize it. The new 4.4.4 update didn't fix the problem. Thanks for the suggestion though.
