No , none at all

Look the the battery icon at right corner. It's fully charged if it's not flashing.

No notification lights for charging/charged
new text
missed call blah blah

Maybe someone could make an app using the back and search button to act as led

Not currently. I started a thread about having the backlight turn on when a message is received. I think this should be the same.
another thing google needs to fix ASAP!
I want the damn light to turn on when I get a message (screen)
The light BLINKS GREEN when there is something in the notification bar.

I just noticed my battery like is down to 12% the notification light, isn't blinking at all.
Even with Bluetooth or wifi on my light does not blink blue. Weird.
I wonder if this is included in Androids "memory saving" feature. *Since the Android will self close apps in the background when it needs more memory. I don't know.
green blink
I just sent a txt to myself. light blinks green... cool!
Doesn't the light normally blink green, in stand-by mode?

The light doesnt blink as others cell phones do. The only time the light blink is when there is something in the notification bar. Test it out...
blue led?
I have yet to see the blue light just green orage and red...
anybody seen a blue led on a g1?
I think there's only one LED on the G1, and it's a red/green one (that looks yellow when both sides are energized.)

You can get it blue wen you hold the track ball down and powering up the phone.

I think it is four sided. Red, Orange, Green, and Blue
I have seen green and red LEDs mix before... and this doesn't look like that.

Standby led?

Does any standby led flash on your own devices?
There is a led beside earpiece but it never flashes.
Read your user manual. The so called led beside the earpiece is a light sensor and not an led.
The stndby led does not flash unless u have a missed call or sms.
The LED is in the Power button, which flashes when you have a Missed call/sms/email in green, or flashes red when the battery is low, or stays red when charging.

Yes, I found it, thanks.
However, it only functions when charging the battery. It doesn't flash upon missed calls or sms...

goto settings > alarms and notifications and make sure the tick box is marked against LED. Also you can state the length of time you want it to flash.

Is it visible under daylight?
Or do we really have to be in a dark room to see the LED flashing?

No, you don't have to go to a dark room to see it... but it's tiny...
i wonder why they didn't place it somewhere on the front of the device...

[Q] LED

Hey just a quick question... the Charging LED on the front of the Surround thats green when charged and red/orange while charging... will this also flash for notifications such as new texts etc or is it only for charging...
I don't believe so. I haven't seen mine do this, although that would be a nice hack to work on.
The only time I've ever seen it flash is when I have a voicemail. It flashed green during this.

[Q] CM7 notification led

Hi guys,
I am experiencing any led problem on CM7 (now I have CM7 n.build #7).
I googled around and read something about not working blinking notifications (I have solid green led too).
For me, led does not work even while charging my phone (I expect amber led).
Does anybody who run CM7 can let me know if led works (blinking notification, charging led)?
Thx
In setting try to unmark led charging and mark it again i have done it and my led works when charging

It's a known bug in Alex's patches

Thank you! to unmark led charging and mark it again works for me!
It works, but you'll have no green LED when charging and no LED at all when charging is above 90%. And no blinking for notifications (is steady though)

Go to Settings - Sound and under "Notifications" section you'll find all three settings related to notification light.
Note: It's in the phone "settings" not in CyanogenMod settings

LED notification light not working

A day or 2 ago, my notification light has stopped working on my Samsung Galaxy s8
I tried restarting the phone and turning the LED indicator option in settings on and off. It doesn't seem to help or fix it.
I wonder if i should return the phone since its still in warranty and get a replacement because charging the phone works but LED doesn't show it's charging like that red dot on top of the phone.
Could somebody help please.
Thank you, Kenny

Hi there, easy to diagnose.
Go to the phone dialer and dial this: #*0*#
A debug menu will appear, click the LED button (middle right).
It should light up the LED, click the screen to cycle between colors.
If this works correctly, then the issue is software/misuse/app conflict/whatever.
If it does not work correctly, then your LED needs servicing/repair.

There is a long discussion on this subforum about the LED issue, did you use any LED control applications?
Seems like something is killing the LEDs.
Just for future reference.

Hey ye i have had a look at the discussion in this sub forum and no i wasn't any sort of LED applications.
So i guess its my bad luck on getting a partial faulty device :/
Id assume its a hardware peoblem since they said reflashing the older firmware didn't work.
Thank you
(This was double posted from the main LED thread, don't know how to delete it, but it may help anyway)
To contribute to the discussion:
- there are some apps that only work in certain colors. For instance, Whatsapp is working with blue, but no other colors. I may have seen it blink once for another color, then never more.
- all apps using blue are working
- I have an app that is originally set to blink LIGHT blue and it is doing so.
- Telegram manages to blink pinkish
- charging is Red
- Fully charged is green (but again, green is not working on Whatsapp).
Looks like a software thing.
