[Q] ota 1.82 and clockwork recovery update problem - G2 and Desire Z General

Hi,
I'm trying to update my desire z from 1.72 to 1.82. It has Perm root, S-off and clockwork recovery 3.0.0.5 via this tut: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=905261 and after that updatd to 1.72 and rooted again.
Now when I try to install the OTA I got an error in the recovery:
finding update package...
E: unkown volume for path [SDCARD:download/...
E:Can't mount SDCARD:download/....
Installation aborted.
Why is the update packages downloaded by the OTA update thing not accepted?
Best regards,
Christian

OTA updates do not work reliably on rooted phones, the problem you are having is beacuse of Clockwork what you should do is try to flash the stock htc recovery and then try to update, this worked for me but do remember you will loose root possibly forever (or atleast until a root comes out for 1.82 if at all) and all the advantages that go with it.
here is a tutorial for flashing recover images
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=902493&highlight=flash_image
this is the default htc recovery image you can use in the above guide

[Q] HBOOT 1.01 And Clockworkmod

I have managed to downgrade back to 2.1 but my HBOOT is 1.01. My phone is rooted but I dont have superuser app I tried installing it but it doesnt do anything. I checked if I can get su in terminal manager and I can so I know I have root. In rom manager it wont install clockworkmod just does nothing, and when I try fix permission I get "an error occurred while attempting to run privileged commands!"
Can anyone tell me how to get clockworkmod installed so I can upgrade to stock froyo with root? I already have the rom just cant flash it as I dont haveclockworkmod installed.

Android 6.0 Update TWRP Kicks In

Hi,
I'm using HTC ONE M9+, today finally HTC released 6.0 Update for M9+,my hpne downloading update without any problem when i click to Install Now it says Rebooting and after reboot TWRP Kicks in and does nothing. Is there any way to disable TWRP to install this new update ?
Flash back the corresponding "stock" recovery.
You must also have an unmodified system to apply the OTA successfully.
i've flashed "recovery_verified.img__TW_1.90.709.3" now TWRp disabled but during update (at %23) it says OTA failed, my OTA is TW, according to error message i need europe's OTA which i couldn't find on internet
i actually have the same issue i have tried copying the ota and tried flashing through adb but it shows that error executing updater binary zip file and errror flashing the device
im running L 5.0.1 and want to update to m 6.0.1 through ota
i have unlocked bootloader but s-on .how to flash the otp? thanks in advance
MIracles happen! Is there anyone that have already made the update and can tell if the sense it's still there or if HTC have removed everything like in the HTC 10?
i think i can update my phone to 6.0 if i can find Europe OTA, i've searched everywhere but i couldn't find it
even i have downloaded the update but cant install as i have system partition modified...i ve searched for a ruu or stock rom but couldnt find anywhere...however i do have the Indian OTA update.
did anyone managed to install 6.0 update yet ?

Can you do official OTA after ROOT without unlocking the bootloader?

I dont think you can do official OTA if rooted.
My case is I unlocked bootloader and rooted and I could NOT upgrade via OTA.
Then I reflash stock, bootloader is unlocked and no root. I could upgrade OTA.
Thanks for the information... I guess i will just wait for the nougat update before rooting my g4 play...
We can try this workaround in order to get root and unroot for ota:
1. Fastboot twrp
2. Install magiskSU.zip
Voila, you get rooted.
Then unroot:
1. Install magisk-uninstall.zip
2. Fastboot stock-recovery
This way we are unrooted and ready for OTA.
Note that I am waiting for Nougat OTA as well to prove the unroot above works.
Today in order to test the above, I flashed stock rom, flashed TWRP, rooted with magisk, download the OTA update, flash magisk_uninstaller, flashed back stock-recovery, reboot, and install OTA. The result is ERROR.
I don't know how to copy the error log from recovery, but here below some text that I copied:
Mount count = 6script aborted: system partition has unexpected contents
...
E:Error in /cache/Blur_Version.24.71.3.harpia.retail.en.US.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted.

Before apply the ota update, just flash the stock rom without wipe data.

https://postimg.org/image/cr8lkrul5/
the phone reboot into recovery then tells me to install ENG Binary

By installing twrp and doing root it works but i would like to have access to OTA updates and so do not go through TWRP.
