Boosting Volume/Sound on Quantum - Quantum General

I have noticed that my new Quantum is not a loud as I would like it so searching I found that the Samsung Focus' volume can be adjusted. This is the article that I found and I tried it but the password would not work on my Quantum. Can this or anything else be performed on the Quantum that will boost the volume or sound?

Hack to increase earpiece volume on JAM?

Has anyone found a hack to increase the speaker volume when holding the JAM to your ear. My hearing is not good at all...remember when mom used to say "turn that music down, you'll go deaf" turns out the old girl was right.
The volume on the JAM seems even lower to me since doing the latest ROM update. There must be a registry setting to increase the volume. I've not seen anything that jumps out, but I'm willing to bet that there is a way.

low earpiece volume
hi paragon,
I fully support your criticism about the poor audio level at max setting. There must be sufficient potential in increasing the audio level since there is the loudspeaker function available.
Now 2 people are waiting desperately for a solution by a honourable specialist which allows for an icrease of the basic volume setting.

Well, the speakerphone on this thing isn't actually isn't any louder than the regular earpiece!
did anyone find a solution to this one?? I hope it's not the old change the rom to 1.12? I'm happy so far with 1.06 apart from the low front speaker volume.
Phil
i'm using 1.12 and i struggle to hear ppl as well. i ran by this app earlier today on i forgot which site that says its the ultimate hack tool. i'll browse through my histor and see if i find it and figure out if it can increase the volume.
Unfortunately it's generally considered that it's not possible to activate speakerphone programmatically, which will mean that automatically switching to speakerphone isn't going to help too much.
I tried setting up a profile to turn the volume down to a reasonable level, and then activate speakerphone and use that as the earpiece. That way the screen doesn't get sweaty and you've got better sound straight to the ear. However, some people on the other end of the line say the recieved sound isn't so great. I don't see why it should be any worse. Play around with AGC in the settings panel. Anyone else care to report on this idea?
V
i found the app, its tweaks2k2net unfortunately nothing with earpiece volume... and about the using the speakerphone instead, i've had ppl complain that they cant hear my clearly as well.. is the mic also bad on this phone?

in need of a volume boost for ppc/win mobile 6

I'm loving my touch dual, however i am very dissapointed with the speaker phone volume, when using it during a phone call and when playing mp3's. Now i know that I can increase the volume on each mp3 from my computer, but i honestly cant do that with all my music heh. Is anyone out there aware of a ppc program that would allow me to boost the volume? I know on my old treo there was a great volume program that boosted the main system volume so anything you did was boosted volume.
yeah i second this.the volume when using the speakerphone is so weak you hardly can hear the person youre talking to.
I'm having the same problem.
I found this little cab file. Don't know exactly what it does but it worked for me. HTC TMO Wing. I think it does a registry edit. Don't know if it works on other phones, but it definatley boosted the volume on mine.
Its only 1kb. Installs on the phone not the Storage Card.
ok, if nobody else tries this in the next day or so, then i will give it a run...im sure it cant hurt too much.
This works on my touch :

to go back:

i tried the last cab file posted by flash mp3 and i didnt notice any change at all. I will try the first one tomorrow and see if theres any change with it

If you tested the 2nd cab it's normal that you didn't notice any change cause it permits to go back to your old setting. It is the first cab which permit to really boost the volume of the sound on the touch.
when i said second cab file, i was referring to YOUR volume boost file as oppsed to the first guy who posted it. I didnt bother using the rever back to normal filel you gave because the volume boost didnt seem to do anything at all on my touch dual
Volume boost
I tried the files of Zcink and Flashmp3. None is operative on my Niki.
But it's a French ROM. I think there is a specific limitation, and i dn't know one issue fot that except change the ROM.
Have you one another?
Just be sure to check...
I have been trying to find a volume booster for my brand new Treo Pro for 2 days now. I tried several different methods with no promising results. Then I realized that my SCREEN PROTECTOR was over my earpiece on my phone. I removed the screen protector and BAM my phone was monster loud! Something that i did previously DID work, but, I wasn't aware of it because the plastic protector sheet was hampering the sound before it got to my ears.
So just as a heads up, if you're using a screen protector, ensure it's not covering the phone where the sound comes out of.

this **** kills your sound

ive tried the system tab and also the ring tab
its really loud and quite annoying
Do you have S2U2 installed? Encountered a similar problem with this S/W installed....had to remove it unfortunately, after using it on several previous devices.....
hmm no i dont have s2u2 installed, il have to see if i installed something that caused this
anyone?????????
got the same pronblem... not sure since when. I have installed s2u2, but set it like recommended by other users who definitely CAN control the in-call-volume... got no idea... looks like a hard-reset may be necessaray... but I just don't want ang got no time... ****...
regards jan
I CAN control the volume, but it doesn't go to zero. I mean the minimum value is still high.
earpiece volume too low
i thought i'd post this here: i have found the earpiece volume during a call to be rather too low, even though i set the volume to the highest level. other aspects of the sound function seem to work nicely, loud speaker and headphones are pretty loud, but the earpiece is too damn low. any thoughts..
any idea if HD tweak can increase the earpiece volume
i found that option 3.3 acoustic setting when set to maximal increased my earpiece volume dramatically during calls. and that option 3.4 increase sound increases the ringer volume. can anyone confirm
i just got my HTC HD...my happiness knew no bounds...

could it be the simple issue that, by default, HD changes the ring volume and not the speaker volume when you press volume rocker?
you can check this and if this is your problem, do a search through the forum and you will find the registry tweak, or the volume cab to change this.
good luck!
Hi folks,
found another possible reason (but unfortunaly no solution yet) for in-call volume control not working... as this thread mainly focuses on s2u2, i've opened a new one here

Media Volume Mod

I have seen this many times but cannot find a .zip anywhere with just this mod. I am looking for a loudness mod to increase the volume of the media speaker. Any help would be appreciated. I just got my Epic 4G today and I'm jumping right in. Thanks in advance
I want one too! Can barely hear my recorded audio when driving.
Still looking around for this. Any ideas?
Shameless bump, Still looking Maybe someone who applied a volume mod to their rom can zip up just that one mod and post it? Would be awesome
I'm not sure there is an external speaker volume mod, but there is VooDoo. Simply flash a kernel that has voodoo mods included. (Genocide, Visionkernel, twilight zone kernel).

I bet what you saw is the loudness mod in qpst. It might have been in cmda workshop, but I'm pretty sure that there was a spot in qpst that you can set speaker loudness for the ring, speaker, and something else. I don't recall it working, but the placebo effect is of great value to those that benefit from it.
I flashed twilight zone kernel and overclocked my cpu while I was at it. Voltage control wouldn't load though, for some reason, so I had to use a different app to set it to 1.3 Ghz, and it said the frequency was adjusted automatically, so I'll see if thats true or not.
Sorry for the ignorance but how do you tell if the voodoo sound driver is actually installed? I can't find mention of it anywhere in the phone UI.
Edit: haha, Guess I missed the memo about downloading voodoo control. I got it running fine now

[Q] Volume on a7 tablet

Has anyone found a way to increase volume on the elocity a7 tablet .it is very low
and dexmod helped but it could be a little louder
my advice would be to not even try.
The speakers in the A7 are only 0.5W and can't handle any extra power.
I have read about a couple people blowing out their speakers just by trying to boost their volume with DSPManager.
Need more volume, get headphones.
Actually, I'd be pretty excited for suggestions about this as well! I plug in some usb powered speakers and listen while at work, but even at max volume it's not putting out very much.
I used to use an app called AirHorn LOUD that had a volume boost. I'd just check the box and it would make everything significantly louder. I'm not allowed to post url's yet, but if you do a search on appsfuze you'll find where it used to be, at least.
The thing is that I can't seem to find it to download anymore, and it's been taken off the market. Any other suggestions? Thanks!
Look into an app called Volume+ - I use it on my ASUS Transformer and I tried it on the A7 - seems to work great. Just be careful not to increase volume too high or you may blow the speakers!
