On a stock ROM with s=on it's impossible

Hello Neidlinger!
I am showing S-Off. I guess, maybe I am describing it wrong. It is the Sense UI, Stock?

Since your phone is s=off it is doable, because you can change the /system folder and have stuff stick. With that being said i know there is a thread in the development section that has a lot of gauge options on it. If i can find it i'll post a link to it for you.

Thanks for the work on the link Neid. I am actually using one of those now.
I was specifically looking for one like the link above displays. Apparently I haven't been able to find that exactly.

I know some of the custom roms have it available, but was curious if there was a file or something that could be pulled from them to make it available for the sense, stock ui

I know one of you stud guru's can do this in like 5 minutes!

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=990829
Cook it up here if you want. There is an icon like it in the battery mods section.

damn that's tough, I can't find the needed files. Thank you for the link however

how did you theme your current setup? If you used a flashable zip, you use that. If you used the t-mobile theme engine you use the apk. It shouldn't be tough. With that kitchen you just need something to start with, so as long as you aren't running straight stock no theme, it's a quick file dump and let the kitchen cook it up.

I am using the recovery back to stock, which was titled, 1980-01-06.00.08.33. I got it from these forums for a stock recovery with sense.
I am still rooted, and S-off, verified through 3 sources, and i can add mods.
I tried looking in that file last night, but didn't see anything.
You are saying just throw that entire zip in kitchen? I will try that tonight (Can't remember if the zip was over the 9mb limit kitchen had, which I think it was)

no that won't work. You need an apk to get it going, since you're using stock you'll have to find one of the t-mobile theme engine apks already included with stock. I think androidian is one of them. I'm a little surprised, for someone who wants a really customized look you shouldn't be using an odexed ROM. Something like RoyalGlacier would be so much better. It's MySense, stripped, deodexed, zipaligned, and has a lot of tweaks that are great. Much better kernel included as well. Take a look at the thread in the development section. The touchpanel update included in faux's kernel is worth it by itself, it's like getting a whole new phone.

Ahh Darinmc, thank you for taking the time to reply.
I actually have RG ready to flash on my SD, just hadn't yet. I know RC2 was giving me a force close loop, so I undid back to stock until they had more time to work bugs.
I think I will give RG a shot.
Again, thank you very much for replying, think I will try Androidian and then RG

The best thing about TR ROMs is their support. Follow their instructions for installation to the letter. After that, if anything, and I mean anything, goes wrong, post a detailed report in the thread and they will bend over backwards to get you up and running. Having problems with RC2 probably had something to do with a bad install (this is not pointing the finger, simply pointing out that when dealing with custom ROMs many things can happen during an install), the TR instructions are more detailed and generally create better results. Happy flashing!

Thanks to Workshed, I've got everything sorted out.

I did test the two files on my phone, but I'm not sure how my update.zip will work. I'm not entirely sure how to make the updater-script. I kinda just lifted one from another update.zip >.<

[Dec 27][SD]MyTouch4G v1.17.531.2[Android2.2.1][G1][Hastarin r8.5.3]

I am learning to port rom to update my favorite build. It may contain bugs but I know Glacier fans cant wait anymore
- Based on the newest HTC Glacier/MyTouch4G v1.17.531.2 OTA update (Android 2.2.1)
- I kept this build as stock as possible like a HTC update, no modding, no new Gapps, have lot of bloatwares... you can tweak/fix what you want.
- I have modified the htcclockwidget based on cryshop's 3D X'mas Fancy widget skin and it look great with animation weather too.
- Added some Asia auto APNs
What's not working
htcCamera can take wide mode only

Hmm interesting always willing to try new things .

how to make it multi-language?
Here is the new framework-res.apk to have the percentage battery icon.
Replace the file in /system/framework/framework-res.apk and reboot.
As always, backup your old framework-res.apk before updating
You can use rootexplorer or android commander to replace the file
Enjoy!

Great build, has been stable, battery drainage is acceptable.
Now, how can I remove the stock apps? most of them are non-functional apps anyways, like the wi-fi calling app (I would've loved if it worked :'S )
Been using this for about 3 hours. It seems slow to wake up from sleep, and a little slow going between calller menus. Otherwise I like it. Like above posted need to know how to get rid of unusable bloatware. Will try Astro or linda. I am using stock 3.14 rom with hard spl and 2.15 radio.
Updating the Kernel to the latest from MDJ and Hastarin does not break the camcorder and camera. Using Hastarin 8.6 right now and it doesn't seem to fix the wake up lag. It is better but still noticeable.

[MOD][PORT] (4/5/2011) Power Control Widgets

[MOD][PORT] Power Control Widgets (Initial Release, 4/5/11)
NOTES:
-This is for de-odexed ROMs only!
-The settings app, made to work on the Tbolt, is linked below, under Installation Instructions.
This is a port of JSChiSurf's Notification Menu Power Control Widgets (thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=877003&page=13). It adds a set of widgets to your notification pulldown, which allows you to turn on/off various functions, such as GPS, Wifi, Bluetooth, flashlight, and adjust screen brightness, etc.
This mod will also give you a working 6-bar signal indicator, smooth sense icons and percentage battery. It will also allow for transparent notification pull down menu if you mod the appropriate PNG file in framework-res.apk. If you do not want these other mods, please feel free to remove them, or ask your favorite chef to do so.
And, of course, everyone is welcome to use/mod these in cooking their own ROMs/themes, etc. .
There are 2 looks right now (more to come), a stock look (screenshot on the left), and a themed look (screenshot on the right).

Known Issues
4g toggle isn't working yet.
I had forgotten to replace the stock 20, 40, 60, and 80% battery images (so you wouldn't see percentages there, just the stock image), but this is now fixed. D'oh .
Also, Please note that I have tested most of the functions, but not all. The widgets that come stock definitely work. I wanted to release these quickly so others can dive in and use/mod them to speed things up. I will be updating the widgets as things go on and people have a chance to use them. Please let me know what works and what doesn't as you try them out.
Warnings and Disclaimer
You flash this mod at your own risk. I am not responsible for anything that may occur to you or your phone as a result of flashing this mod. Further, be aware that this mod will replace a great deal of your phone's framework, thereby breaking any themes/mods you may have applied to your framework. I am not responsible for coordinating this mod with your themes/mods, but rather, the authors of such themes/mods are.
OK, enough of that, on to the goods...
Installation and Use Instructions
Download stock version here: http://bit.ly/fCUbHq, or
Download themed version here: http://bit.ly/hjoPVp
Backup!!!
Flash the zip via Rom Manager or Recovery.
The zip will flash a file to /system/customization/ called "widget.txt" which you can edit and customize which toggles will show. YOu can also install JSChiSurf's PowerControlSettings, which lets you further customize your widgets, here: http://bit.ly/eOXcnE (NOte: This zip has been modified for the Tbolt, so use this one, not the one from JSChiSurf's thread).
Enjoy!

[Project][HTC SENSE ZERO PORTING]Help requried!!

Hi dear Wildfire developers,
Most of you know about the new HTC Sense 3.5 and the light edition called Sense Zero its based for low-end devices like our wildfire.
This new Sense was ported successfully to HTC Hero and HTC Magic. its taken from the new HTC Explorer (Pico) RUU.

Thread for the rom in Hero section
Thread in magic section
MY IDEA: We will try to port the Zero sense to the wildfire.
What about merging the new sense zero to SFM 1.1 instead of Sense 2.1?? will it work?
Will the best thing is to discover by ourselves.
The problem in my opinion is the lack of GPU at wildfire. but will it affect the porting?
and if it worked still needs the resizing to fit to Wildfire display.
all opinions will be appreciated.
I have started this thread here in devs section to gather efforts to make this possible if we can.
Waiting for your replies.
for my self am on 3 days off from work, i will give some tries.
**************
Here is the RUU for HTC explorer (Pico) to play with if you want to try:
download
Instructions:
- dsixda kitchen will need to be installed prior to starting.
1. Run RUU and leave open
2. Type %TEMP% in your computers start menu search bar.
3. Search through the folders in there with the long names with numbers and letters, you'll find a zip file named "rom.zip" in there.
4. Place the rom.zip in the original_update folder located in the "kitchen" directory
5. From there follow the steps on the kitchen menu to setup the rom.
6. Then proceed to porting .
Looks interesting to say the least. Maybe I will have a look once I finish SenseOnFire?
Good luck with Sense on fire Vigidroid
and waiting for your help with this rom.
I will give some tries this weekend and tell you about the results.
It's ported to the Eris also Ur more than welcome to try that also

Hrck mods(Color and stock roms only)

I spent my earlier part of this evening making this with a tool. It's an aroma installer package and for those who don't know what that is it's a mod which gives u an extra GUI in recovery and allows you to pick what mods you want to install. It's limited right now and read all here before messing up your device and coming back to report an error you made.
Disclaimer:I'm not responsible if your phone explodes, shocks you or melts or whatever.Do this at your own risk if there really are any.
The first version of this mod has 3 sections.
-You'll find root apps.Framaroot, root tools and xposed installer.Choose if you want them.
-You'll find nodo camera mod(don't use if you aren't on stock),and the xperia gallery app and more in the app section.Don't install oppogallery2 if your not on the stock rom except you want to try and you know how to revert.
-The clock widget section is a choose one only option to choose between the Oppo green, red, yellow clock widget respectively.Don't choose the 3 or you'll end up with the yellow.I included the order in the title so you don't have to remember.(due to renaming issues I had with the aroma compiler you need to go into /sytem/app and rename any oppodigitalclockwidgetG or r to "OppoDigitalClockWidget.apk")
This is the beginning and I'll add more and keep the package apps updated.
Hit thanks to say thanks and happy flashing. This are all compiled by me so if you share give me credit.

go read Somewhere what is an aroma installer and what is its purpose.Don't bug the thread. Read and understand before posting.
all I am saying is this thing serves no purpose. none of these things require recovery to install so you've effectively only increased the complexity of installing them.

It's an all at once install package of all those apps. I maybe doing debloating very soon and ur comments are just discouraging me. There is more to the power of aroma and I started with apps only.

A debloating script would be a welcome alternative to installing Color Mod
although, may I suggest, we keep the debloating script and the bloating script separate?

Thanks for the aroma installer, add as many options as you can, I really appreciate it myself. I really don't see why their should be any complaints at all, the aroma installer is a very good option. If you don't want the mod that is in the aroma installer then don't select to install it. I don't think some people know what aroma is, and how Dev's make things easy for a lot of people with this tool and really how nice of a tool that it is. It really makes things very simple to add mods and apps and do so much more with your device in a very easy way, its as easy as it gets to be able to select what mods, apps, and so many other options in one simple to use tool. keep the installer going add whatever and as much as you can, and once again thank you for your time and hard work.
