Mirrors for SBFs - Milestone 2 General

I've downloaded all Milestone 2 Service SBFs and mirrored them. Apparently quite some people are looking for them, so here they are.
I suggest you download them, while the links last
FYI: These were the only SBFs for the Milestone 2 that ever have been publicly available! So no, there are no Chinese or Asians SBFs and I don't know how to get them!

please, please please!!!
italian sbf!!!
thank you!!!!

As far as I know there isn't an SBF for an Italian Milestone 2. You should probably use the UK SBF.
The SBFs I provided are the only ones that have been available.

Thanks a lot mate!

Thanks you so much

I have updated -> http://and-developers.com/sbf:milestone2

Cool thanks everyone!
I now has an Optus SBF for whence I need it

Chinese?
Does the "CH" in DE, AT, CH mean Chinese? So somehow one ROM supports Chinese plus European language? Othewise, is there a Chinese version? Sorry if this is a stupid question...

CH is Czech.
There is no European ROM that supports Chinese AFAIK. Furthermore there haven't been any Chinese/Asian SBFs publicly available, at least not via the official Motorola Repo.

Anyway to get the Asian SBF, for Singapore's?

Whats it mean?
This is a such a noob question, so forgive me for my arrogance, I'm still learning a lot about Android ROMs... but, what exactly IS a Service SBF? What does SBF stand for? Thanks for any answers.

If someone knows the filename of the SBF and if that file is still online on Motorola's server it could be possible.

Not sure what SBF stands for, but I've read "System Boot File"
The service doesn't replace the /data partition, non-service versions do. So simply said a Service SBF only replaces the system, without removing user data. (Correct me if I'm wrong)

thanks,,,,,,,,

thanks for this..

Yes. Make sure you use version 4.9

Thanks for the share
btw I have very little experience in android. so I better ask you guys to increase my understanding. As far as I know SBF is ultimate savior for bricked android phone. If that happen, you just have to use RSD lite to flash your phone with SBF. Is that right? get me straight if I was wrong.
But I still confused about several things
1. Do SBF is the same with factory reseted rom?
2. Do I have to use the right SBF version (UK, Brazil, DE or whatever) for my MS2 or we can change it to different version?
3. How can I know my SBF version?
Regards

DE = German
AT = Austria
CH = Switzerland

Pretty much! As long as your MS can boot into recovery (hold camera and power up and then press the power button)
But I still confused about several things
1. Do SBF is the same with factory reseted rom? - Yes, but it also restores the phone to complete stock build (ie if youve rooted it, or removed and crapware) that will also be restored.
2. Do I have to use the right SBF version (UK, Brazil, DE or whatever) for my MS2 or we can change it to different version? - 4.9 is the latest. To get your phone to show up, make sure you have all the phone's drivers installed on your machine first.
3. How can I know my SBF version? - Generally goes by country/continent..
Regards

These SBF's will not erase the data partition! So all user date will be in tact after flashing it.

European PRO users, I need your help

I have a big problem...
I've deleted some files in /system/app and now the HOME and SEARCH buttons don't work. I don't have a backup (I know, I'm stupid) and I can't restore anything.
Please, could someone make a backup with recovery and then upload it for me?
IMPORTANT: I need a backup for the Motorola PRO european version, not for the Droid PRO.
You can install recovery with this file:
http://www.mediafire.com/?g8l7vy0futbc4g5
Once you make the backup, you can find it in /sdcard/clockwordmod/backup.
Thank you very much!
i sent you a pm, chek it.
I've tried with an argentinean backup and it works but I can't set any APN. All works fine except the APN and now I can't enable the data connection.
Someone with the german vodafone PRO could make a backup, please?
I think is the only free way to solve my problem

There is still no Gingerbread for the Motorola Pro???? Are they planning on pushing a new ota gingerbread update or it will never happen? Motorola don't care about European/rest of the world customers????
There is not even a sbf file for the stock rom???
I searched all over, and there is no European forum for roms for the Motorola Pro. Why is that? Europeans don't develop roms? Only Americans do? Europeans only wait for the Americans to do things for them?

The american Droid is different than the european. Fisically are the same phone but internally are different. I don't know how the american people got the sbf file. I don't know how to get the european version either. You have to know that there is a newer version of the PRO, the Motorola PRO+, and it's possible that we don't have GB on the european PRO... never...

In Argentina we also have the Motorola Pro and I asked a Movistar Argentina representative and he told me that in a matter of weeks (maybe 1 or 2) we'll get the gingerbread update.About the sbf, I think it is a leak from Motorola. I am sorprised to see that there are some roms available for the Milestone 2 but none for the Pro. What is worst is that I don't see forums with roms in Europe. It seems that there are not developers interested in the Pro at all. I don't find even a category for the Pro in the most famous argentine forum grupoandroid.com and then when I looked in forums from Spain, France or Italy, there is even less. Anybody know of a good european forum with support for European phones?
Or is this thing about customizing phones, just an American thing?

What did the motorola represenatives said about the expected date for the gingerbread ota update in Italy? Other countries?

In Italy (and I think in all the European country) the Motorola Pro is arrived just now but at an interesting price.
Personally I think that this phone it's more for business users and for this reason there wouldn't be many custom ROM and similar
MOTOROLA PRO+ (MB632, "Elway Plus")
Getting my MOTOROLA PRO+ (AKA: MB632, "Elway Plus", apparently...), on Monday, from the UK... Very disappointed to see that there is very little (practically nothing), about said device - and even about its predecessor the DROID PRO - but yet other "not-so-good" (but similar in a way) devices (ie: Samsung Cha-Cha), do even have custom ROMs available at this stage!
MOTOROLA PRO+ "Temp Forum"
Im hoping not to be contravening any rules here but since there is barely any info on the MOTOROLA PRO+ at the moment (not much info either on its predecessor MOTOROLA (DROID) PRO), I though all little bits of infor around (I have posted a few things in different places) could be gathered in one place - HERE: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=19973225#post19973225 ...at least until when (and if) a dedicated section is created for this device...

Dudes ever heard of flashing? LOL, Go ahead get a copy of RSD lite 4.9 and up, have worked fine for me (win 7 x64) (or use sfb flash if using linux)
then search this forum for the XPRT sbf that suits your need, (remember, read thoroughly so you wont download the wrong file) and that's all.
RSDlite
REMEMBER Sprint Branded phones may be flashed both with sprint or Boost SBFs, but Boos branded phones will only take Boost SBFs.
The SBF files you may find them here in the forum, just search for sprint 2.3.5 sbf or boost 2.3.5 sbf,

You need to find the one that suits your phone's model and original firmware best, and be mindful of downgradeability. I'd pick the one that corresponds to my phone's country of origin and/or region in order to get the proper radio files.

Then you're going to have to take the time to read this and this.
I'm pretty sure most, if not all, of these SBF files have all the languages. I know mine supports Arabic, both input and system language. So just pick one that's closest to your region and/or corresponds to your carrier, and make sure you have the same version as your original ROM.
If you flash a ROM that has a higher CG number than the one you're on, you won't be able to downgrade, or it will not be as simple anymore. If you don't care about this, than just make sure you're flashing a higher version; you won't be able to boot if you're on Gingerbread 2.3 and flash a Froyo 2.2 ROM.
Why you need the stock rom? If you want it for waranty, you have to flash the latest one for where you're from. If you just like the blur, you could have a look at:

Firmware BL=4 ... Is there a solution for french language ?

Hi everybody,
I m thinking about selling my Milestone 2 after 3 years of devotion !
(I d like to get a more powerfull phone... Would love to find one with physical keyboard, but it's very difficult to find one with an azerty version - It's only for US market generally Droid 4, Photon Q... - so i think I will take a Nexus 4 wich have an interesting price.. I talk, I talk, but it's not the point !)
So, to sell it , I d like to put it back in original configuration.
Unfortunately after many flashes, I m today on a BL=4 Firmware (Claro Argentina)
And I d like to put it in french language with an original ROM, but I think thoses Latam ones, don't have these language (I tried somes and it's english / spanish).
Can someone confirm there is no BL=4 Rom with french language ?
If I well understood, I have no chance to downgrade form BL4...
so what are my opprtunities, to get back the phone closer its original configuration with french language ?
Thanks per Advance fior your help

What about modifying an GB SBF from france, deleting everything except the /system partition, and flashing it back?
You can do that with Moto android depacker.
That wouldn't mess up your kernel or your BL, and still have support for french language and azerty keyboard.
Just thinking out loud here.
Good luck.

If it works it's a terrific idea (didn't know it was possible...)
just one question.
I have just to keep CG39 for system.
I can replace all the rest with the French GB SBF, and finally compile my sbf to flsh it.
that's it ?
Thanks a lot

You don't need to flash anything else besides /system, just create a SBF with only that partition from the French sbf.
And yep, I think that's it.
Good luck, remember to keep an unmodified sbf to flash just in case.
using update.zip
is it necesary to create an sbf? can i use a update.zip with /system on it (and nothing else)?
btw you can pick photon q buttons one by one so i got a nice qwertz photon q

Hi , I just tried to do this operation.
There 's something I don't understand. I can't rebuild a sbf , only with CG39.smg with Moto Android Depacker.
So tried to replace the CG39.smg from Claro Latin America version (the BL=4) with the french CG39.smg. and then rebuild a new sbf...
But doesnt see to work, THe phone shows the moto logo and nothing then...
Any Idea ?
did I do something wrong ?
Thanks per advance
Sorry to up (it's not in my habit) but I really need to know if I can put my phone in original config but with french language...
Is there a way to flash a rebuilt sbf with french language knowing I m already in BL=4 (cause I flashed the phone with CLARA LATAM rom)
Thanks per advance.

First - it's sbf not sfb. SBF is a file format used in bootloader flasher RSDlite. And what meaning you mean rom? Rom as a part of memory or rom as a new system? Well sbf and rom it's one and the same thing, also rom is internal memory where you can put your files.

Ok, thank you for your answer.
I just wondered difference between sbf and a custom rom, and why custom rom (like CyanogenMod) aren,t in sbf format...
Sbf more easy to use and without root!
Well sorry. My journey and experience grows with every month.
Okay:
SBF file is an ultimate file with all modules and partitions developed by manufacturer. It means that in sbf you have everything - bootloader updates, specific kernel, android system files, motorola drivers, motorola software, radio (GSM) update and many other things that i don't even know that they exist So imagine that you just have device, with nothing, empty - only bootloader. SBF file will make your device live properly.
In case of custom roms, you have only system data, so - no update of bootloader, radio etc. Sometimes (not in motorola), rom package can contains new kernel, but that's all (for our droid kernel's are separate zip's). I think that creation of sbf file is just not necessary, and can be difficult (i think because of motorola closed source of RSDlite and sbf), opposite to installation from recovery(Recovery is power-users creation and it's open source, so everybody can access instructions how he can build rom to work with Recovery - much easier huh?). And if you 've had empty device, with custom rom you won't be able to start.
That's why sbf files are used to unbrick device.
And by the way and warning - Argentinian SBF file contain radio update which corrupt GSM signal. 3G works fine, but 2g (gsm) is terrible, and there's no fix for this, since argentinian sbf contains also bootloader update which means you cannot flash any other sbf than argentinian using RSDLite.

Fresh info based on dettofatto's (and mine) experience - it is possible to have argentinian rom with eu radio. You just have to flash argentinian sbf using sbf_flash under linux.
