hay guys finaly got my screen for my HD2 i did buy a LCD with the digitizer attached but now the touch dont seem to work at all any ideas any help would be great thank you just found another issue when i go in to Nand i cant select any thing like USB flasher AD recovery or even reboot phone the buttons just dont want to work in it but they work by chance if the power button was busted would it screw the touch screen up and the rest ?
just answered one of my Q's touch screen still dont work even with the buttons unplugged
and after a closer look aparently the LCD Back light is allways on soo im just wondering is it the new screen + digitizer or is it the phone ? a replie would be nice

Recently ive repaired a HTC Universal, put it back together as best as i could.
Now when i do touch the screen with a stylus, the screen has funny colours behind it. It kind of like when you touch/ prod your Computer LCD. It only happens when theres pressure on the screen so its not really a huge problem. The touch screen is definately there cause when i tap the screen it responds (e.g i tap start and the menu pops down).
If its normal then i can take it, but if its not im complaining to the ebay seller.
This doesent happen when i put any form of pressure on my HTC magician LCD, so im curious.
Let me know what happens with your universal

This is not normal behaviour of any touchscreen device!!
hmmm... well i just looked at the broken lcd screen, and even though the LCD itself is shattered, the touch screen is in perfect nick.
I put pressure on the touch screen and couldnt see any of the symptoms i saw on my current LCD
You guys recon i should swap the touch screen over? either way im complaining to the sellers, DODGY.

from my knowledge, im pretty sure its normal. it happens sometimes on my 9000 so yeahh....
On htc magician, center of my touchscreen dont work, screen is ok but touchscreen dont work in the center of screen! Broken of some system problem?
Maybe your touchscreen digitizer is broken?
you may try this it works on my htc wizard
try to massage the digitizer in the middle maybe it stick too close to the glass screen
found this temp solution in the wizard sections
but you ll need to replace the screen finally
hey....i have a problem with my htc elf it was working fine till it fell and now when i turn it on it shows white n black color horizontally....1 thing more the phone is working fine i mean after some time i can hear the intro music and even receive calls but no display.....so do i need to change the lcd

Yeah.. actually your digitizer has broken down not your touch screen.. Get it replaced..

To clarify. It is your LCD that is broken, your digitiser may well be but as you can not see to test...
One way would be to hook it up to your pc, run mymobile, and see if pressing the digitiser registers the command when viewing it on mymobile.

Digitizer is the thin screen above the LCD screen which recognises the stylus/finger touch (Analog) input into Digital Signals.
I was applying a Zagg Invisible Shield on my HD2 today and the only thing I can imagine is maybe I pressed too hard on the screen while squeegeeing the solution and now my touch screen is not working. Everything else is working fine, I can still answer calls using the buttons at the bottom but the touch screen is dead. Is there hopefully some kind of fix for this or am I SOL and need to replace the digitizer? Thanks in advance.

may be your pressing hard has broken the connection or has caused a loose connection between the digitizer and the flex cable/ribbon.
if your good in DIY may be you can dismantle and fix it..
if not a repair shop is your option !

I had a touchscreen issue (sometimes not working) in my HD2 so I ordered a new fabric screen+lcd assemby. I replaced it very carefully but now when I plug new lcd it is not working. Phone is working, buttons, vibration, hear the sound when turning on but there is only backlight on display and just shows black screen. I am sure that display is ok because I tried to put old one (wich was still working before replacement) and it has same issue (backlight works but display is black). Can you give me some ideas what is wrong ????

The flex cable is not attached correctly or the main board is broken and before you close your phone try it. If you can't do this give someone your phone and he will recover for you.
The problem is sloved. I dissasambled all phone and fix it once again and now it works. Anyway I got another problem of white screen on my second device. Did anybody find a solution for white screen ever????

Have you tried turning phone on with volume down button pressed???

Yes I have read this before but I think that white screen problem is not sloved in this thread. But maybe I could be wrong.
