no biggie, it was just a demo i saw, but its the best tegra2 racer out now for our tablet.. and with the orientation fix, driving worked fine
so the app is actually made for the atrix mobile..
with rotation like other mobile, i guess that will take time before they find a workaround so orientation is wrong with the patch. (but that is good it works!)
can't find it anywere
I saw how it works on Xoom, hope to get it soon.

Thanks, I'll try to source for this NFS Shift tegra2 edition, will let you guys know the performance again if can. NFS from EA sounds nice, but I've also tried Asphalt 5 HD v3.3.7 (tablet edition) from Gameloft and really really love it! It runs smoothly on our Folio 100 with DexterMod v1.4. Everything works: graphics is nice, orientation works well. Highly recommended if you can have a hold of it as well.

i have tryed to install Asphalt 5HD 3.3.7 but it says it needs to install something extra and it goes ahead trying to install but its unsuccessfull. How did you do it? I have tryed several diffrent apk files, but its the same with all of them.

there are "many" different Asphalt editions, so make sure its the right HD edition as well..
btw,
ill try and upload the demo of the ea game, at least its a nice demo, and as its a demo it cannot hurt anyone.. since we cannot "activate" anything but a single play and it goes to full game option which we cannot get.. need AT&T network.

I THINK it's because of what ATT did about allowing some apps not to be installed?

Odd, the atrix comes with a NFS Demo that plays perfectly fine.
more than likely the games aren't updated to work on the phone resolution, wait for an update. or get the latest version from the market.

ALL my apps are from the market, that's what's weird.
Keep in mind that some apps and games may not work on the Atrix just yet because of the new type of display/resolution and don't forget the new tegra 2 chipset.

Need for speed plays great on mine. Asphalt 5 gives a white border on the right and top of display because of the resolution. I played it though and it's the fastest I've seen the game play. Larger companies like Gameloft and EA will probably update pretty quickly.
Are you talking about the full version of NFS: Shift? Of course the demo works, but the full version doesn't. It starts up and tries to download the 150mb of extra data from EA and then errors out saying "Unsupported Device". Sims 3 does the same thing.
Might want to wait a little, its not like the phone just came out today or anything.
I just wanted everyone to know that if you get on your computer by following Natious' guide for getting Gameloft games cheaper, you can also download this brand new to Android game which works great on the Tab. Although there seems to be no startup movie....

I had no problem downloading and playing the game on my stock Galaxy tab. Just hooked it up to wifi and it was done in 5 minutes. No lag whatsoever.

I am a heavy gamer and in the middle of compiling a list of great tab games and which version works best. You know htc droid samsung ect.
I havent been able to get gangstar miami fully working full screen yet. Getting there.
I am also trying to find a company that puts out hd games like gameloft does. Except i want the games to work like they say the should. Spiderman is a perfect example of a great game that doesnt work properly.

Nova 2 doesnt even work on my htc desire, and i can get almost any game to work on there. Someone said asphalt 6. Arent all the car pink?
We might get nova to work if we could get gongerbread, but the current cyanogen port for us is extreemly buggy.

Just to make sure,you are using the Nvidia plugin,aren't you Beaver?
Big bang racing doesn't work. Just starts up with a screen about device not meeting minimum hardware requirements, seems to be the only game so far that doesn't work.

Yeah using the Nvidia plugin. Maybe try it without the plugin? Or try playing around with the graphic settings in the Chainfire app.
I think, contrary to ethics and all that, the best thing to do is actually pirate a game, see if it works, then buy it if it works. Especially if it's not on this list.
If you buy a game (such as Doktaphex presumably did with Big Bang Racing) and find it doesn't work, you've essentially wasted money on a game that doesn't work.
I know some people will take this the wrong way, but I firmly believe it's the best way to do it.

Monster doesnt work, its really broken, everyones reported it broken.
ANd confirmed, bang bang racing doesnt work on the desire hd/inspire...sadly......
Did anyone get plants vs zombies hd to work??which driver does it require??it keeps crashing to the homescreen.

I tried that a week or so back. It worked without even using Chainfire. But its kind of useless because its optimized for tablets so all the buttons are so small.
Aftermath XHD works fine on the DHD... runs smoothly !

Well,I can confirm that Dungeon Defenders works,just not the Tegra edition.When you launch it first time with the Tegra plugin,it downloads the Tegra files,but it cannot start the game itself.If you download the game with the Tegra plugin,then switch the plugin off and run it,it will download the Qualcomm files and run ok.Just a little choppy at times but whatever!
It's quite good in fact.I just got addicted!

There is a pretty long post about the differences between tegra games and non-tegra games. Tegra "optimized" games are simply using nvidia texture compression method
Maybe I'm doing something wrong but when I go to the android market and try to install a tegra game in my sgs2, it says the mobile is incompatible and doesn't allow the installation process to go through.
Is there a way to circumvent this?

Download and buy Chainfire3d...the Pro version includes a Market Fix that allows you to install just about any game using one of the plugins (Nvidia/Qualcomm/PowerVR)

Where can I find those Tegra games? I looked in Android market but I don't see them... I also downloaded Tegra Zone but it says I don't have Tegra, which I don't, but it should be plenty fast enough, and I have Chainfire3D Pro installed...

u need to download and install the the nvidia plugin in chainfire 3d and then reeboot and select fix market.

The idea is to make a list of games that do not work, or that work but not quite right.
Since most games are running, that no,
And it would make a long list adding all that do work. So mention the games that are not on the list and that work is because they go to 100% lagfree.
But not like the others who want to go where they operate commenting perfect

Understood. It wasn't intended.
Anyway it's not easy to believe that if a game it's not in the list it's because it works perfectly. I mean there could be a doubt about if some game was tested or not. But it's a valid point.

You're right, I've been testing and I can not get into the game returns me to the main screen of the game, now I'm going to add to the list until your compatibiliad future reports.
Fpse doesn't work for me...
Sound is out but video doesn't, never face this on CM 9, I use the old fpse one...

At this moment the game requires a phone/tablet with 1 GB of RAM at least. I really wish to support xperia play devices, but unfortunately right now I don't have this phone to optimize the game for it.

Modern Combat 4 (leaked version) worked fine for me on Gingerbread, and also works well on ICS (By Markphyton) but you'd better delete them from the list as they are not official versions, and there may be confusion among users.
Downloaded the latest version of The Amazing spiderman, works fine if you use the hard buttons, but when you go touch pads its gets really laggy and freezes then restarts the phone entirely, i'll keep testing. I use Markphyton ICS rom

Downloaded the latest version of The Amazing spiderman, works fine if you use the hard buttons, but when you go touch pads its gets really laggy and freezes then restarts the phone entirely, i'll keep testing. I use Markphyton ICS rom

okay, confirm continued to lag, (whether overclocked or not) and will update the list with your report.
Ok so i overclocked to 1.6 max and 500mgz smartassv2 and noop but still laggy,it stopped system freeze (when game hooks up i can now press home without it restarting my play), i decided to uninstall maybe i'll try with an older version

Anyone try pspocket with this rom?, i tried dino crisis 1 but it reverts back to home screen is there a way around this if not i'll play on an emulator
