[Q] A little bit stuck, need ideas. - Wildfire General

Turned my phone off and back on a couple of days ago and now the phone boot loops after showing the telstra logo.
I have Hboot and fastboot access but no recovery. (does the same thing, just boot loops), even though I had clockworkmod installed. It's as if everything just wiped itself.
My hboot is version 0.80.0008 and it says S-ON.
What could I do from here to revive my phone? Would a gold card be the only way?
I have created some other posts but none had been replied to, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Maxcima.

i've had one bootloop before, which was solved by removing sd card and booting up then replacing, hope it helps.

Thanks for the suggestion but I've already tried booting without the SD card in with no success. It's quite frustrating because I was only playing music before I turned it off.
Any other suggestions? Anyone?

which rom are you using?
my h-boot is 0.80.0004 s on.
was there anything new loaded on phone prior to your bootloop problem?
i had another issue after loading some new tunes on sd card, even though they were fine on pc, they made my phone schitz out, kept on rebooting and made sd card read only, i know its a longshot but i'm trying to think of anything i can

I'm using SUnAaBh v1.1 which is quite ironic because it was renowned to be one of the most reliable and stable roms out there haha.
I did get fruit ninja but it had been a while since I reset it so I don't know for sure what it could be since I've put various things on, but none that I could think of that would potentially force a boot loop.
I do really appreciate your help. It provides some hope until I can get my hands on a gold card
Is there any other way that you know of to flash it while it is in the current state?

have you tried rooting using unrevoked again and installing clockworkmod?

What mode would I have to be in for unrevoked to recognise my phone?
As I cannot boot into the phone, USB debugging is a no go. Does unrevoked recognise a device in fastboot or something similar?
Thanks.

Boot into Clockmod Recovery and then try to clear cache & DALVIK cache. Then boot again and wait some Minutes.

Hi Deep-Knight. That would have been my first option but as I stated, for some reason selecting recovery from HBOOT just makes the device loop boot after the telstra logo again, it doesn't boot into clockworkmod recovery anymore.
I don't understand why.
Thanks

was your phone already with usb debugging enabled before this bootloop? if it was already enabled, unrevoked will work fine.
(i always keep it enabled)

Hmm, originally when I used unrevoked I would have had it enabled (obviously) but since then I've flashed other roms using clockworkmod. So everytime you flash a new rom, it gets rid of USB debugging unless you enable it again correct?
Therefore I don't think USB debugging is enabled on mine. Ahh, it's so annoying.
I have it on HBOOT and plugged into my pc but Unrevoked isn't picking it up, I assume it's because I don't have USB debugging enabled, or am I wrong?
Thanks guys, really appreciate it!

it shouldn't change usb debugging, all the roms i have flashed its still there after being turned on once. check your messages too, sent you some info on telstra

Oh okay, I still have no luck with unrevoked though. Tried it on a different PC with the HBOOT modified drivers. Just stuck on "Waiting for device..."
ADB commands also do NOT work, so I am lead to believe that usb debugging is NOT enabled?
Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Thanks.
EDIT: NEVER MIND, I got it working! I found a recovery zip (PC49IMG.zip) and renamed the cyanogenmod as update.zip, put them both on my SD card and booted into recovery!
Clockwork stated there wasnt enough room on E: (whatever drive that is) so I flashed all data and installed cyanogenmod.
Thanks heaps everyone, means a lot to me
PS - I dont know why clockwork mod decided to boot this time but it did. Maybe because it had to room, it couldnt boot? I don't know, I'm not that experienced with these things.

good to hear mate, now go and get some credit from telstra

i have a g1 that is stuck on the rainbow screen. adb doesn't show it as a device, so i'm guessing usb debug wasn't enabled. i've tried powering on with a sdcard that had dreanbg.img but it doesn't seem to recognize the sdcard.
any other ideas for fixing this particular phone ? thanks !

Do you have a goldcard? Otherwise the dreaming.img will not be recognised. Nevetheless re-rooting should be the last to try. No recovery possible?

no, i do not even know what a gold card is. as i stated, recovery isn't working, the phone is stuck at the 'rainbow' boot screen. it doesn't respond to adb when connected to my computer.
maybe i need to read some jtag stuff.. ?
No, I think it's enough to build a goldcard. There should be a thread in this forum explaining the process more deeply. But be careful. Read first. Every rooting process may brick your phone.

[Q] Something went wrong

I formated my sd card from recovery-windows and i got a bootloop when i rebooted it.
No more access to recovery-windows, i took off my sd card, bootloop again, i had to go to recovery with red triangle, pull off battery, disconnect from usb and reboot to make it work.
Factory is reset but no more network even with proper settings, and i can't access the recovery windows without having bootloop all over again. I got a mysterious IMEI SV number now too.
Strange things is the drivers are mad in hboot and recovery now , i got something like this.
I don't understand what went wrong, can someone point me in the right direction to make it work?
is your phone rooted?

Yes, with blay0 0.7 currently on it.
So the network came back after one complete day without it. Don't ask me why.
But i have other major issues:
-SD Card slot not recognize, tested with different SD cards, same result.
-Bootloop when i boot my phone, only way to get around it is to plug it in usb, don't ask me why too.
-Weird Drivers still nuts with HTC DIAG, Qualcomm CDMA Technology not recognize.
I didn't know a simple SD card format from recovery can cause so much trouble :'(
Undoubtly the native drivers from Hboot disappeared, and without sd card nor recovery from PC, i don't know how to bring them back.
Can someone help me please, i don't want to lose it :'(
Okay it's a classic USB Brick sorry for the inconvenience.

Is my DHD dead? (stucked in HBOOT, any option I choose, it always backs to HBOOT)

Hello everybody,
I have a HTC Desire HD which I was using the Android Revolution 6.3.2 with the recommended radio. I was running everything well for 2 weeks more or less.
This last week I went to Croatia for holidays and I realized something. Suddenly, the battery was finishing very fast. Then I removed the battery and put it on again and the nightmare started.
It went to the HBOOT screen and I'm stucked there. Doesn't matter which option I choose, it always back to the same screen. I can select reboot in fastboot, reboot in recovery, and nothing happens. It just back to the same screen over and over again.
I tried to remove the SIM CARD, SD CARD, take the battery off for an hour, and nothing.
I tried to flash the recovery again via ADB, but it doesn't work. It doesn't enter into the recovery. It just still keep backing from the same HBOOT screen.
I tried to run the RUU again. I got two different versions, and in both of them, starts well, it reboots my phone and when it backs, it says "waiting for fastboot" and I got a timeout message saying that the USB cable is not connected (the usb cable is fine).
I tried also to extract the ROM file from the RUU, put on the SDCARD (named as PD98IMG.zip) and run directly on the phone. It didn't work.
I have access from ADB (because when I plug the USB, I can see on the HBOOT screen).
Does someone has any idea of how to solve that? My knowledge is not so deep and I googled/read most of the things I tried.
Any fastboot or adb command that I can type and will bring my phone back?
Thanks for the help guys!
Try running the RUU from fastboot.

There is an option for fastboot in bootloader menu, select it and connect phone to computer before running the ruu.

will work..
or make a backup in recovery of data and reinstall the rom with fullwipe
you have solved?

Another bootloop problem

hey guys today i was rooting my nexus player.
everything was smooth until SuperSU didn not show up.
after restarting my NP i got stock in boot loop.
I tried to use adb to access my device but ran into an issue
when i use: adb devices - it shows me empty list of devices.
i think its because i can not detect it because its not actually boot in the rom it self.
does anyone know how to fix this?
things i tied:
updating drivers
using adb devices
unplugging power cord and pluging back in
using different usb cables
-- I downloaded SkipSoft tool not really sure how to use it yet or what i exactly need from it.
did anyone use it?
any help would be very appreciated
thank you.
UPDATE:
i managed to get into a stock recovery mode
fastboot is offline.
I think its because the USB debugging is not enabled. is there a way to avoid this?
Did you solve your issue? I also have bootloop and can't access fastboot.
if you saved your old stick rom you should be able to reset it. i think you have to hold power button. this willl allow you to get into settings and pick what file to boot from. sorry it was a while ago when i did this. but if you haven't saved your stick boot than you might be out of options.

Tried it and it didn't work. Resetting will just wipe user settings. I believe this to be system related.

RP2 stuck in Recovery Mode

I have a rooted RP2 MR1 on android9. I tried to unroot the device since I am trying to sell the phone. I went into magastik and clicked Complete Uninstall. After the phone restarted it booted into Recovery Mode. I cannot get past this. I can go into the Bootloader from Recovery Mode. I have tried ADB but my phone isn't be recognized.
Not sure what I am doing wrong, or if this can be fixed. Any help is appreciated!

To get my phone to be recognized, I had to try two different cables, as well as follow this video to install the standard adb drivers.
New user so I can't post the full link, so add this after the .com/ of youtube
watch?v=1TxjSa8gemM
From there look up the stock ROMs installer for the RP2 and follow the instructions for that.
I just ran into the same problem. I uninstalled through magisk then rebooted. now i can get to recovery and bootloader but phone wont boot. I tried reinstalling factory image from razer's website but adb gets stuck at waiting for device. I have used 6 differnt drivers and 5 different cables including a samsung sync and transfer cable i went out and bought today hoping the cable was the issue. any update on how you fixed it or advice from anyone else would be greatly appreciated as this is my only phone.

Are you using the ADB/Fastboot that Razer recommends on their site? I had this problem too until I updated my ADB/Fastboot.
Yeah, I feel like an idiot. It's been a while since I've used adb. I ended up moving the fastboot file into the same folder as the the image I was trying to flash and had my phone working 30 minutes later. I meant to reply but it was 6 am and I went to sleep. Lol
