Android 2 to HD2?

probably this has been asked before, but still a major consideration of which phone to buy.
anyone knows for certain if this will be available \ can be done?

it is possible but no one can assure you that this will happen. look at the orginal HD port as an example

you will never find the right answer, and we all already can see it is pretty tough to put an non android phone with a fully working android? So far, it is pretty impossible. Why would you putting high hope with a wm phone to be ported with android? this will not be a good factor at all for choosing a phone? my 2 cents.

If I read the signs right, there will bei a Android Version of the Leo in early 2010.
Maybe there is a change to flash between the two OS.
On the other Hand this would mean HTC didnt give an capactive Display to the Leo for being ready for Windows Mobile 7 but for being able to sell it as Android Device aswell.

If you want to google for this version you should use the magic words "HTC Dragon"

Cool .. I'm reading this forum for two weeks to get reason NOT to buy Leo. Still haven't found one. But this might be it ..

Documents & Reader Tab Unlikely from Official HTC ROM

I have just received a message back from HTC after I asked if there were going to be Reader & Document tabs in any upcoming ROM upgrades.
Here is the response;
Dear Richard Thank you for your enquiry about ROM features. At the moment we are working together with Microsoft to bring new features in place in the next upgrades and upcoming products but we cannot include the current options included in some mobile networks as this is part of their exclusiveness and brand agreements. Nice, those conversations. Always something to interpret in one way or the other. Let us assume the HD2 doesn't get an upgrade for WM 7, then what? They cannot provide any information about that because of enclosure agreements? No, that's impossible So..... HD2 definitely gets an upgrade LOL

That is making so much more "Sense". (punch intended) I mean what do we have to do with our nice battery covers when there's a upgrade to WM 7?

Because of the 'With HTC Sense'? Yeah that would be failure. Maybe just wright the word 'NOT' with a pen. 'With HTC Sense. NOT' xD
Anyway, from what I am reading it is clear that they are thinking about what to do with the HD2 regarding WinMo7. I think HTC will make some kind of new 'Sense' interface for WM7. MicroSoft just wants to sell the first Windows Phone 7 Series without to much 'Sense/TouchWiz' etc. To give the HTC HD2 owners a custom WM7 version with some kind of Sense on top would not effect them that much I think. And, again, we HD2 owners would be a good 'test' for them to see how Sense + WM7 works out.
Or else, during a meeting somebody goes 'you know what, let's just stop thinking about it. We are giving them 6.5.3. That's enough. The e-mail guys will get payed double this month to reply to all the hate messages'.

For example finally fw version without annoying bugs I hope.
But anyway I really feel like something is cooking because for our region there is still no 1.66 version almost month after released everywhere else.
1.Maybe because it makes no sense for them to port the bugfixes for our region when some bigger upgrade is coming (like 6.5.x?) or …
2. they are just do not care about our stupid problems to use their devices.
I hope it is No.1

Or not considering MS requires the OSs' home screen to be intact bar any OEM customization. Basically that means the screen as we've seen it will stay as is but HTC will likely add custom 'live tile's such as weather or stocks and change the 'default' colors.

I'd actually like just a revamped version of the existing phone!
Same case/keyboard/screen (or SLIGHTLY larger) just:
Faster CPU
More memory
HSDPA
USB host
VGA out
SSD
Possibly dual-boot to Windows XP(/7)/Windows Mobile
Higher gain antenna
That for me would make the PERFECT device.

There is some download link, but even though i have an account on xda.cn - i can't download because of some credis i suppose (google translator ftw.).

Dear Amazing developers,
I am sure you have encountered this question several times but I just need to understand if I can install Android system on my HTC Trophy 7, I am hating how microsoft is hounding their users in such stupid way. Please advise.

Not possible....yet. But, team from XDA.CN are working on Android ROM currently for HTC HD7. I think that if they make it for HD7, it could be done for all wp7s out there...

Unfortunately noone does... I can guess that it might me avalible in let's say 1 month or more... If you ask me, I would love it to be avalible tomorrow, but i highly
doubt it happening.
We can only say thumbs up for this project and keep our fingers crossed that they

Why don't you just sell you WP7 phone and get yourself a new Android device ? The market price on a Trophy is as high as it's going to be, so you'll get the most for it now.
Also you don't not have to worry about Hacking Android to get it on the phone, that sometimes might not offer the best performace or hardware not working correctly.
Just wondering...

Why would anyone want to do this? And even more important why would anyone want to build a ROM? Screw Android. I'd rather someone make a Windows Mobile 6.5 ROM for the Trophy instead of this crap.

Dude ! I know this is a windows phone area but the beautify of xda is that we will get an andriod soon
