Same problem, try to move to sd card, Moving Error, tried with 2 partitions on Floyo, tried in Gingerbread and...Nothing..

try Link2SD
download from android market, u must created second partitions with Fat32 format in Sd card, and need standart ROM 2.1 rooted
just run apps, reboot.. but u must move apps manually by open Link2SD >click >created link

I found app2sd didn't work for me. So I used link2sd in stead. Had to create a partition on SD card first there is a thread that I used to do it. I now have 400mb on the SD card just for apps.
But you need to have full root to do it.

It did'n work for me, too.
But I tried, and figured out how to install it.
First, you need to partition your SD-card. Second, do the method, that they wrote, but when you open the adb shell, first write "su", and accept it on your phone. Then you can begin to run the script. This way, I could install it.
I've tried several times before, without the "su" command in the beginning, it doesn't work without it. Now, I'm happy, because it's working and I have some free space on my device

if ext2 doesn't work, try use ext3 partition for apps2sd
vice versa

Just give it a try again.

Ps: link is from youtube mobile as I sent it from my phone.

Guys be sure you have 2.1.1.A.0.6, otherwise it won't work cous of kernel dependencies.

okay first tell us what ROM are you using, what app2sd type that u try to use (native or with ext partition), and what steps have you took?
ps: if u're using racht's 2.2.1 ROM (that i think you do), app2sd with ext partition works perfect. just use app2sd.sh with moved dalvik-cache that someone posted in development section.

For me a clean installation and following the given steps carefully works. Floyo 0.15 has native app2sd and it works for sure

I use Link2SD. It is a pain in the a$$ when you update or move to SDcard but it works.
Steps to get it work: (For Windows and Noobs users only)
1. Download the Link2SD app from store
2. Download and install this program (it will make the partitions of your card) from here (it's free)
3. Connect your phone as a USB (mount your card)
4. Follow this video (it's not mine), but do not leave space for a "Linux Swap" partition (unless you want it)
5. Reboot your phone.
Tested and it works!
P.S.: I think that even if i had an EXT3 partition the Link2SD worked when i ckecked the EXT2 partition (in it's set up). Can someone confirm that?

[Q] Move apps to SD with floyo

Hey,
Ive updated my SE x8 to floyo, after lots of hours trying, but finnaly it succed.
But when i go to Settings\Applications\Manage Apps\ and then choose a program and press "Move to SD-Card" it says: "The application could not be moved."
What could i do to solve this? I've tried with App2SD, aswell, but with no luck.

when i tried floyo 0.10, all my old apps in ext2 partition is working.
but it doesnt work in hackdroid 0.12
it has another kind of app2sd script i quess. it use sd-ext folder in root, different from floyo.
I am running floyo 0.12, tried app2sd, link2sd, using ext2 and fat32 partition on my sd card, doesn't work, arghh.
Anyone know how to fix this? Link2sd was working when i was on official SE 2.1 firmware
I've been playing around with v0.12 and managed to get apps2sd working using an update.zip from the original thread (will try find link in a min). This also fixed the prob with some games not installing (angry birds).
P.S My sd card is stock 2gb one with just a fat/fat32 (have to check) partition.
I deleted the ext2 partition as the floyo apps2sd doesnt seem to use it
Couldnt search the thread, so I've attached the update.zip below.
Just install with xrecovery and apps2sd should work.
P.S fix permissions in xrecovery after update, just to be safe

Hows your sd card setup? Try with ext2 and without. Mine started working when I had the ext2 on the card, however the apps were installing to the fat partition so I deleted the ext2. Everything is working fine now.

[script][old][already build inCFROOT]Gingerbread Darktremor a2sd for sgace

Thanks To ysgace and all dev.
this is not my job, just made easy to share.
So it's taken a lot of reading from a number of different places but I figured out how to modify the boot.img in the Odin CODE tarball in order to flash with an edited init.rc. I realize that with this power I could have simply built a2sd into the boot.img but one step at a time. so do you have a2sd by Darktremor?
Whenever i try to create an ext2 partition in my sdcard, it is not being mount and i get a warning saying that the card should be formatted. if i give yes, it gets formatted as one single partition of FAT32.. Please help
I used MiniTool Partition Wizard Home Edition in windows for partitioning
for partitioning use gparted
Before upgraded to gingerbread ROM, it was 2.2.1 where there is a app name "link2sd" free from market, which it mount ext2 partition of sdcard and move per apps apk file to sdcard, of ext2 partition, this is more flexible then Darktremor.
Where with Darktremor, the external sdcard will never able to hot remove from phone and plug it back. Which make external sdcard pointless. remove sdcard card will kill / reboot the phone, given without sdcard, phone can not start up. Also slow performance issues.
Where link2sd allow you select large apk only link to external sdcard, when unplug sdcard the phone still works without reboot / halt.

Great job!
It is possible to do the same thing with 2.3.4 KPH?
I found so many noobs here in ace forum and so little developers and I want to help you. I come from optimus one forum and i like to help.
You need a custom recovery to create an ext partition and to make darktremor a2sd to worked. Amonra or clockworkmod recovery is the best. Then create an ext partition whether ext2, 3 or 4 then flash dta2sd from the darktremor a2sd thread here in xda(search it). The latest ver is 2753 beta 04.
Remember, without ext partition the dta2sd will not worked.
To check if your a2sd is working, download terminal emulator, press su then enter then type a2sd check.
Or download titanium backup agd check if it says a2sd space=???
Or the best way to check is by a2sdgui app, it is a official app from the dta2sd itself. If it says apps are on sd, then your a2sd worked. And if you guys still reducing memory even after moving apps to sd via a2sd gui app, its time to put the dalvik cache to your sdcard.
Fuh, thats a lot of writing on my phone. I love to help because i will buy galaxy gio soon.
Or maybe you guys should take a look at optimus one forum and learn how to make a custom kernel and rom there. Theres a very good thread on guiding how to build a custom rom and kerne. Im pretty surprise so many noobs here. Like i said i really like to help to improve this community

link2sd

installed link2d on stockrom after root with universal androot and formatted the second partition with fat32 since it doesn't support extX partitions.
Everything works.
link2sd asks what to link: app, dalvik-cache and library
Maybe must play with these settings to have WIDGETS still working when linked ?
I remember they usually stop working when installed on sd...
this omap is really fast !!!
with flash working great too !
I've used it just for games and a few things that are bulky like opera. I didn't try and widgets/livewallpapers because of the time spent preparing the SD card on startup.
It's so much easier using this when you don't have to worry about apps eating up all of your available storage.
I use it with almost everything. Only things that I'd like to have available when things go wrong and I have to boot without the card, I leave unlinked.
BTW. I'm using a kernel driver that was in the app2card .apk file to allow be to mount the partition as ext2 instead of fat32
A good thread on how to re-partition the SD card

I'd be interested in finding out what you did to get app2card working....
I used it to partition the sd card fine (well when i finally managed to click the done button... grr...) and it copied apps to the same partition but it won't mount the partition and has kept the apps in the main memory too...
is there better apps or a way to do it that's easier?
does the flipout support ext2?
I love this phone to bits already but it's a major let down when you can only get a few apps on it with it being full and having a fit!!
Meh.... tried link2sd... now my home button doesn't work and nothing will download from the market...

maybe you have used a rom without root permission. make sure that your rom supports app2sd. Secondly partition your sd card with the help of gparted livecd or you can use the AD recovery's build-in tools to partition your sd card. then flash a rom supporting app2sd. here cm7 recommded, the extra space will be recognized automatically. if you use miui rom, pls make sure that your partition format is ext3. after flashing miui, open terminal-1.su-2.a2sd reinstall-3.reboot automatically-4.open terminal again-5.su-6.a2sd zipalign-7.a2sd cachesd-8.reboot automatically-9.just install whatever you want.

This makes me believe that App2sd+ is working, how else is there only 22 mb free? What is the partition size you made?
Things you can do:
Clear Cache of apps
Clear the downloadfile-#.apk in /Cache/ (you need a root explorer to do this)
Backup apps, delete apps, restore apps.
Another thing to do is to start from scratch, reflash your rom, using a backup program to backup your apps. Completly clear caches, and wipe sd card.
DOING THIS WILL WIPE YOUR PHONE AND LOSE ALL SETTINGS
Rommanager is only available for cLK, make sure you have cLK, or phone will boot-loop.

[Q] Link2SD bug on Zoe Rom 4.0?

Hello,
I use Zoe's Rom in version 4.0 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1855050) and get a mount warning after a reboot: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/9/screenshot1353350104800.png/
Is it a bug or can i fix it by myself?
The app work fine, I have the ROM and I tried.
I think this could be happen for 2 reason, i guess:
1) The script necessary to make the app work don't exist or have a bad installation
Solution: Open the app, install again and reboot
2) You dont have a second partition
Solution: Create a second partition. most of the time the recovery program let you create one.
Remember: You need a second partition and also remember to choose the correct type of your partition that you have, in the case that you have one
:fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:
If you have a SD card < 8 GB format second partition as Ext2
Thanks I solved the proböem by myself after several time pressing 'create new mount..' it worked fine
Use S2e! Şue is better
