But for anyone considering making the jump to Android, you need to keep one thing in mind: many of these early adopters have been using their iPhones non-stop for years. And it takes days, if not weeks, to unlearn your iPhone habits and judge Android on its own merits.
Imagine if you took a longtime Windows user and sat them in front of a Mac for a couple days. They’d probably complain about superficial things like the change in mouse acceleration and the “unintuitive” button placement (the Close button is on the opposite side of the window). It’s not until a week or two after you start using a Mac as your primary computer that you overcome these issues and begin to fully grasp some of the benefits it offers. No, it may not be for you, but there’s really no way you can tell for sure without taking the plunge and using one as your primary computer. It’s the same way with Android.

Why can't everybody be as open minded as this guy?
TechCrunch has been giving good press to the N1 sense before release, that and LifeHacker featured an article or two. It's not all negative, you just have to steer away from the fanboy sites.

Its kind of annoying but from me I can tell you is that I wanted an iphone sense it was released. I now have a G1 for about a year& I did plan to buy an unlocked iphone for tmobile. But after playing around with my ipod touch vs my G1 I realised that it wasn't really fun then I started hearing about the nexus one&after reading about it&seeing it in action the iphone doesn't even exist to me. Eventhough I kinda hate my g1(feels to bulky to me now) I now plan on buying a nexus the end of the month
So yup I was a hardcore iphone fan then out popped the nexus!
(So much more you can do with it. Vs iphone)

I said something similar to this in another thread... basically, how can engadget do a full review on a device they used for prolly a few hours? they had the bloody review up on the 4th of Jan, 1 day before it came out... how do you review a phone that is not out yet? a review should take at least 3 days of extensive looking at, otherwise call it like an initial thoughts review and then do a full review after you have given the phone a week or so of solid use...
i think adaptability to a phone is an element that many people do not realize, apple is king at this because their devices and software are so simple and straightforward... android takes some getting used to since there is navigation and lots of "room" on the device to make it your own... every iphone is the same with just different icons for different apps...

Certain people get the phone earlier for promotional purposes, and reviews. They, I'm simply assuming, had the phone for longer than atleast a day (pure assumption, but I know they did have it atleast before release - atleast they should have -). I do get your point though.

Great article, ive got 2 people switched from iphone to android so far and 2 more that are gonna get the Nexus, thats what i tell everyone, try it for a month then see if you want your iphone back, and they never do. One of my friends was tellin me at work a week or so ago that he wishes he listened to me earlier about goin Android, and he has a Cliq now, imagine if he had this beast haha.
I stopped by the Tmo store today to return a car charger they said would work with my N1; the rep was falling in love with my phone, when he mentioned how he currently has a Cliq and hates "that f**ing thing!".
It seems the press is being paid by "somebody" to write idiotic BS about the Nexus One. Meanwhile, everybody that lays a hand on it, falls in love almost immediately.
Things that make you go "hmmm..."
I haven't really had anybody stop and admire my Nexus yet. I sort of got my co-workers turned on to Android bragging about my G1/MyTouch etc, and they really were impressed with the phone. The main thing that is keeping people from making the switch so quickly is the lack of superb well designed apps. Yes, there are good apps on Android, just not enough and they often lack polish. Kevin Rose just did his review and it was pretty positive.

Just want to post some of my thoughts regarding the 'freshness' of Android..
With phones I've had in the past (Symbian, BB) I usually found myself bored with the software/hardware relatively quickly. This is not the case with my Nexus (and Android in general). I've had this phone since March and kept it completely stock until last week because frankly, it did pretty much everything I needed it to. This was a far cry from when I had my Magic and was constantly flashing something every other day (ROM, theme, kernel etc).
With Android I found that there was always something I could install or implement to make my phone seem new again. When I grew tired of the stock 2.1 launcher, it just so happened that Helix Launcher 2 was released. It changed the way I used my phone (direct access to the dialer at all times was huge).
The one issue I had with both Helix and stock though was that the scrolling was sub standard, and boom Launcher Pro releases and resolves that problem. All the while, I kept my phone stock and was satisfied.
Around the time FroYo was announced I got the itch to mod. Not that the stock ROM grew boring or anything, but the techy inside of me wanted to tinker with my $600 phone. When the test build of FroYo leaked, XDA was a madhouse and it was great! I finally unlocked the boot loader, flashed Paul's FroYo and truly felt my N1 was fresh again. Of course a lot of people spent alot of time complaining about what the update didn't include or it's problems but I've always liked to focus on the positives.
After playing around with stock FroYo for a few days I went ahead and flashed ADW Launcher v0.7rc3 and wow, I felt as if I had a completely different phone from a week ago! This is why these launchers and themes (ie. manup's work) are so great, they keep our phones looking new.
Pretty soon, when everyone is tired of stock, the FroYo source will be released and then the Devs can really do what they do best. The influx of ROMS, kernels, themes, launchers etc will keep any N1 user satisfied for a long time. And guess what, when things become really stable and it seems like the development is getting stagnant, Gingerbread will be on it's way!
This is what I love about Android, things never get stale. It doesn't matter if better hardware is coming out, our phones will keep evolving as long as the OS does. I just thought I'd share my thoughts since I've been noticed a lot of negativity since FroYo's release which surprised me.
I totally agree with this post. The nexus one is my first android phone, had it since April, and I'm still totally hooked to my phone, always looking to flash something new, browse the market for new widgets etc.
The iPhone got boring within a week or two, because I totally had what I needed from the App Store, and really there was no other ways to extend more to the iPhone. Had jailbreaked, but pretty much a jailbreak looses all the Apple's touch to it with the themes, and had not really found anything to my likings. The iPhone ended being an SMS/Call phone with some browsing and twitter. Oh and I dislike the notifications.
The BlackBerry was reliable, great battery life, but after a year of using a blackberry, the OS really didn't change much, and I still didn't find ways to make it more interesting. I still love the BlackBerry, but just not to my geekiness tinker experiments I love to make.
No comment on Symbian really, My N-Gage had very similiar software to the N95 (2002 IIRC vs 2007 phone) and it pretty much really didnt fit in the smartphone area. Not to mention to HUGE LACK of apps.
Android, blew everything to the water in my opinion. Browsing through XDA and Modaco is really like browsing through a candy store, you want to try everything, and it's always getting refilled with goodies.
So far, this is MY favorite phone of all time, and I really have no plans to getting something else, or something else on the market that competes with it. Not even the EVO 4G, no 4G coverage here in Malta yet, don't really dig the stand and 4.3inch in my jeans.
And Google doesn't seem to have a break on improving android, and I believe developers and hackers will not hold back either. Long live android!
Well written post. I agree, I've had the wm dash, the g1, & now my nexus. Android & htc make amazing partners. Froyo has impressed me more every time I've used my phone now. Every time I think I'm starting to get bored xda or cyanogenmod have something new to try.
I disagree. I'm bored with mine. i had the g1, behold II (terrible phone), mytouch, and nexus one. I was let down that Froyo had so few features that the user could get excited about. Browsable market is great, chrome to phone is great, but those are niche features. Nothing groundbreaking like when 1.6 brought the universal search, or when 2.0 brought navigation, or 2.1 brought a new design. I'm bored with the phone and will probably get a windows 7 phone when they come out.

I respect your opinion but look at what you just wrote. Android 1.6 came out in Sept of '09, in 8 months Android has pushed out 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2! You even said yourself that 1.6, 2.0 and 2.1 brought about 'groundbreaking' improvements. That's 3 'groundbreaking' updates in less than a year! I think we're getting a little too spoiled to expect each incremental update to be revolutionary. Fact is no one pushes out constant OS reiterations like Android.
I think JIT (and the associated performance increase - up to 450%!!!) would be a pretty big achievement, and it's one I'm thoroughly excited about.

you sir look at the glass half full, not half empty. i applaud you for that. as for the post, i totally agree. there r so many things to change up the look of your android. theres helix launcher, launcher pro, open home, all the roms, frankly, you only get bored eventually if you don't have root.
Agreed. Having a long history of Symbian phones that would each receive only incremental updates that were designed to fix major problems or add features that are standard on other phones, Android is certainly a refreshing experience.
I bought my Nexus One as soon as Google made it available on January 5th and I still feel the magic with it like the day I opened the box. My productivity and organization has gone through the roof with this phone and I don't see myself getting a replacement until, oh, 2011?
Well written post with many positive points some of us fail to remember all the time. I have had multiple BB's and WM devices... I heavily modded my WM devices, and even modded my BB's to an extent. Then one day, I booted Android up on my Kaiser, and there was no turning back. It was like a fresh spring day, and each and every day with Android brings new, unique and interesting discoveries.
I got a G1 about a month after my first experience with Android on my Kaiser, and the N1 a couple weeks after it came out. In the 10 months of using Android, it has never felt stale on my end either. New launcher, new mods, new ROMs, and so forth are allways welcome. But for me, what keeps it feeling fresh is the fact that it is such a smooth clean smartphone OS that just gets the job done.
Sure, there are shortcomings and things it could do better, or even do(audio/video codec improvement would be nice). But as a phone that lets me get my work emails, surf the internet, stay up to date on the news, connect with and communicate with my friends, manage my day and life, there is nothing that compares.
I was showing one of my buddies at work today some FroYo stuff and (one of) the things he said (among "wow" etc ) was looking at the home screen: "wow, your home screen is different every time I see it," haha.
Definitely can't get bored of Android when you can actually customize it. (Hear that Steve? )

+1. Having a home screen alone is a huge win over the pages of apps stuck in a grid that doesn't give you any relevant information as it is, but having such a customizable, interactive, and useful homescreen is what sets Android way above the competition.

I'm with this guy, lol. My first experience with Android was running it on my Kaiser as well, and it blew my mind - and this was only after I had run out of things to do with WM. Even flaky though it was at the time (no power management, for instance, and an ugly hack to even make the display go to sleep), I was impressed. Then I got a Raphael, tweaked WM as far as I could on that.... and started running Android 2.0.1 on there as the primary OS. Sure, it was still flaky and would occasionally crash, but the smoothness of the interface and all of the various capabilities far outweighed the inconvenience.
And I finally got my first official Android device , the NexusOne, just a few weeks ago now. My only regret is that it took me so long to actually walk into the party rather than just dancing by myself in the street. The freedom represented by this platform is so uplifting. If it doesn't work the way you want it to, you're free to re-work it using free tools from the developer, that will run on any OS. And then the phone's platform will even let you install programs you wrote or code you spliced together without having to jump through a dozen different hoops of differing sizes and strange shapes.
I could go on and on about all the things I love about this platform and this device... and I haven't even gotten proper data access yet! I'm currently in Afghanistan working with a bunch of Air Force guys, and after showing off my phone to them THREE have ordered NexusOnes and there are another two waiting to sell their iPhones before they order. They constantly come around to my tent anxious to see the latest hack or tweak or mod :-D
Thanks for kicking this thread off, jasrups. All the negative threads griping about Android missing "basic features" and doing things the "wrong" way were getting old. Nice to see that some people still appreciate the positives :-D

I used Android as about 70% primary OS on my Rhodium for 2-3 weeks before I finally got the N1. I really wanted the Desire to be honest (hardware buttons and touch screen) but the N1 is an awesome phone and I'm happy I got it.
I tried Android on my Kaiser (SD not NAND) and the experience was pretty poor.. Quite slow. Perhaps NAND is faster, but regardless, it's great we could preview Android before making the big move.

I think it's always most satisfying when you impress an iPhone user. I was about to convert a few of them completely until the iPhone 4G was announced lol.. It's a little different here in Canada though, Android phones are harder to come by and contracts are more ridiculous. Usually a minimum 3 year commitment, with an upgrade only every 2 years.. That's another reason why I bought the Nexus unlocked.. I love the phone, but I would hate to HAVE to keep same phone for a minimum of 2 years, I'll most likely be sticking with unlocked phones from now on.
I remember I had a chance to pick up a G1 when it first came out. I had a Nokia E61i and frankly, I completely brushed the G1 off.. It looked ugly to me (didn't like the bottom chin, especially when the keyboard slid out) and I had read that Android was still very rough around the edges. However I had no idea the modding community was this immense! At that point Nokia was still a powerhouse and my E61i was still kickin it but thinking back, I wish I had looked into the G1 further so I could have seen this grow from the beginning. Last summer I pulled the trigger on the Magic and have been Android since.
+100 for all the positives mentioned out here so far.
When I look at the cribfest that's on right now in other threads, I do wonder: what platforms have these XDA users migrated from? My pre-Android phone was a Sony Ericsson m600i, running UIQ (yes, that failed mod of Symbian). The day I got my G1, I was wowed beyond words, with everything from the Market, to the SDK (which, to be honest, I had been running for months before I got the phone). And this was pre-cupcake!
I discovered XDA along the way, and yes, as someone noted above, it *is* a freaking candy store! Just as important as the OS and the apps, the devs and the user community here have kept the Android experience alive for me. I bought the Nexus One within a week of its Jan 5 launch this year (right after Steve Kondik said he was getting one) . Absolutely. No. Regrets.
Oh, and here's that other thing: Influence. I have five little green Android robots showing up in my gtalk list here in India. And they're all people who've been wowed by the G1/NexusOne in my possession, at one time or the other. Viral marketing/selling works, apparently!
Rachel and I broke up this weekend.
I saw it coming awhile ago, but when it happened it was faster than I expected. Rachel and I started our love affair about 6 months ago. We got along very well, but there were drawbacks to our relationship.
I remember when I first saw her, she looked nearly perfect. She was gorgeous in her sexy black outfit, and tall. But she was only 16. You know how 16 is, sexy as hell and full of promise, a bit of a tease.
I tried to introduced her to a few of my friends; Bluant S4, Vlingo and MBW-150. They liked her well enough but she didn’t fully connect to them. She wouldn't even talk to Vlingo.
There were other problems. Like the fact that she wouldn’t let me touch her multiple times (she hated when I tried to pinch her). She would tire out quickly during the day and have to take a nap to recharge.
I started thinking that I needed to maybe look around for someone older, more mature. Someone maybe 21 or 22. I started flirting with a few others, but nothing serious.
Rachel noticed, and started to make some promises. She asked me to give her some time to mature. “just a few months” she said. “just until October, please.” I waited, giving her the benefit of the doubt. October came, but she hadn’t changed. “I need a little more time”, she said. “give me until the end of the month, November at the latest, December for sure.” By this time, someone else had caught my eye.
Desire wasn’t quite as beautiful as Rachel, but she made up for it in other ways. She was more mature for one thing. She was 21, and about to turn 22. We started flirting, and went out a few times. She loved being touched multiple times, and giggled when I pinched her. She was more outgoing and got along with a lot more people. She would speak with everyone in the market, and introduced me to others that I didn't know. She was happy to meet Bluant S4, and Vlingo, and connected right away with MBW-150. She felt faster and more exciting that Rachel too.
So I took the plunge, and broke it off with Rachel. I wished her the best of luck, hoping that she will mature over the next few months. Will I ever date another Finnish/Japanese girl? I doubt it. They look beautiful, but they all seem to tease rather than please. I think I’m done with them. I’m moving on.
Am I happy with Desire? Sure. But I can’t help but feel that there is something missing. Desire’s more petite than Rachel, not quite as high class. She’s missing a few things that I loved about Rachel. Will things last with Desire? I don't know. I think that maybe she might be my rebound girl.
Desire did show me a picture of her cousin the other day. She’s in Europe right now, but might be coming to North America later this year, or early next. She even has almost the same name as Desire, with a few added initials; Desire HD. She looks hot. Reminds me a lot of Rachel. I could get into her in a heartbeat.
But for now, Desire’s my girl and we’re enjoying ourselves.
I want to thank everyone for all of the advise and help I received in this forum. The Xperia X10 was my first Android phone, and you never forget your first.
Please excuse the “farewell post”.

As an ex-SE fanboy, I really hope that SE gets its act together and starts listening to the dev community. However I really doubt it, which is why the X10 will be my last SE phone.

I have a birthday coming up in late May. I have a rooted Color Nook which has the feel (and freedom) of the early days of PCs and the Internet (I'm 57) when the idea was knowledge not so much profit. Before the CN I didn't even know XDA existed but their work has me feeling like I'm back in the bulletin board days hacking a 8088 with machine code or scanning phone numbers for unannounced modem connections. Anyone remember when Redhat was the good guys instead of the corporate guys?
Anyway Ive held off buying a iPad2 and am really leaning toward a XOOM, but is it a device "too far?" My laptop is a Dell Studio xps 1645 with an i7 820 and without doubt it was released too early and took two bios updates to get everything working with out auto shutdown every 5 min. Lots of folks returned the units but it is a great laptop now. Stable and fast.
So ... what about the Xoom? Is it the wrong hardware at the right time or can users depend upon Motorola to fix the bugs and end up with a quality machine? I'm six weeks away from plucking some money down on something, so would you guys repeat the purchase? Stick with Motorola?
Most of the issues some people are having are not Motorola but Google Honeycomb. It is a new OS for tablets, basically a 1.0 release. As with any new product version, there will be some issues. It will mature like everything else. Despite some shortcomings, I love it and look forward to the updates and new features in the future.

I'd do it again. In fact next week I will be doing it again when I get my wife one.
I suspect lots of the bugs are from apps not necessarily intended for honey comb, and HC's lack of optimization in a rush to get a product to an OEM (Read Google to Moto).
I don't have any issues with my Xoom, and I use it as a Laptop replacement. Mainly because I do development work on my desktop, and I don't need a portable device that oozes with power.
Like I said, I don't have any issues at all with my WiFi Xoom. I haven't filled up the available 28 gigs of memory yet, so SD is a non issue for me until I do. But I don't see my self filling it up any time soon since most of my MP3's are on Amazon using CloudPlayer.I should say most of the MP3's I listen to - i have 158 gigs of music- but most of it is useless now that Pandora is around.
I do wish there where more HC friendly Widgets, the home screens are a lot of screen real estate with not much to fill them up right now.
It's not a bust for me because I'm really enjoying it personally. Sure its not perfect, but I'm confident that Google/Motorola will get the bugs worked out.
The amount of stuff that you can mess with is very very limited right now because the source for honeycomb still hasn't been released. The advantage from a nerd perspective is that this is the only tablet out there with a truly tablet-optimised operating system, so the most exciting part is looking at the potential that this thing will eventually have. The problem is by the time the source code hits, it will certainly not be the only tablet running honeycomb, and probably not the most powerful. So if your only goal is to play with the software, then I would hold off on buying a tablet at all. If you want to do that down the line, but in the meantime want a cool, fully functional tablet for what it was intended to do, its a great device, and most of the limitations outside of the OS have to do with the current apps being updated and optimised for tablets, which could literally happen at any time (I check the market for updates first thing every day). I personally use my xoom for everything, and my laptop gets used for modifying my android devices through adb etc., as a bulky and expensive HD, and to make sure my spreadsheets don't look weird before I send them out (won't someone figure out how to put a logo header on a spreadsheet?).

Hi. Just wanted to start a thread to counter all those complaint threads about not having everything we want from the xoom. It seems that about half of the Xoom threads on this site degrade after a page or two of posts into complaints about how either motorola or google is failing their customers. I for one am pretty happy with my xoom. I understood when I got it that this is an early adopter situation, and that the kinks are being worked out. I don't mind not having 4g yet; most cities don't have it either and, really, I can't think of anything that I need it for (that 3g isn't sufficiently quick enough to handle). I don't mind not having an SD card since I really don't want to spend the money on one that will significantly increase the 32g that's already in my xoom. I don't mind that motorola missed their deadline; kind of hoping they'll put together some package to thank users, like a free peripheral or some kind of upgrade discount to the xoom 2. I like my xoom, even though I still use my laptop more. I don't think the 3.1 update was that great, so I'm not sure I get all the non-US users freaking out about not having it. I just think we need to calm down, take a deep breath, and enjoy this new tablet experience. This tech stuff moves pretty quick; but our collective ADD is going a bit crazy with expecting a seven-month-old tech to be everything we want and more; getting angry that there's new things out that cost less (really? suprised that the first one cost more? come on now...); flipping out over not having perfected hardware.
If you agree that the Xoom is a great piece of tech, comment below. Please don't comment if all you want to do is complain about motorola or google. There's plenty of other threads for complaining.

I completely agree. There is always a cost for being an early adopter and there will always be something newer, cheaper, etc. on the horizon. I am very happy with my Xoom and am using it more and more each day. I hardly ever turn my laptop on at home anymore.
You post on xda and still don't have a working SD card reader?

but slack, I'm glad you loved your xoom. as do I. but I recommend rooting so that you can at least work around some of the issues.

Sure the Xoom has its shortcomings, but doesn't almost every device?
The fact that it's a Google Experience device keeps it at the head of the pack for me, honestly. I just wish we had more correspondence from Motorola updating about the LTE and microSD card updates.
Then again, now with Google Music and Plex, I really don't need that much local storage, so the microSD card affects me less today than it did before Google Music.
I have since sold my MacBook and use my tablet for browsing on the couch or bed. Sure, the Galaxy Tab 10.1 looks great, but it has Touch Wiz, and it came out 4-5 months later.
Thanks for this thread. It's nice to read positive comments with all of the complaining going on. I've been happily surprised by the Xoom...the build quality and hardware potential, the OS and the smoothness of use, the the apps, the wonderful kernels and roms from our developers, all have contributed to a great experience. I do wish that some of the apps that were available for the Xoom before would be available again. The Xoom has replaced my laptop and I use it all the time.
the only things i really want are a bluetooth + keyboard compatability fix, and netflix.
I am quite content with my xoom as well. I agree with pekosROB that Motorola could communicate with their customers better but that is my main criticism. (In reality I can't think of any android manufacturer who communicates with their customers as clearly as I would like. Ah well)

Well lets see, 3.1 adds support for a bluetooth mouse and USB host capability. Those two things alone make the update nessescary. Theres rumours of 3.2 coming out within the next few days and the rest of the world doesnt even have 3.1. Since your in the states you have the 3.1 update and soon to have 3.2 so you don't really see the point of everyones argument that doesn't have the update, all we get is a *soon*
I love my Xoom as well and yes I knew what I was buying, the problem I have with Motorola and as many many others have is they announced an update to 3.1 soon , In Canada that was over 2 months ago, then rumors of Xoom 2 start, then 3.2 is mentioned it could be here within days and the world outside the USA doe not even have 3.1 yet, then the 3.1 roll out starts but very slow and it starts in Asia, so yes many people ticked at Motorola, and yes I still love my Xoom, even though it cant do yet what it was promised it would or could do.

Hail Motorola! You can do no wrong. And even if you do wrong, I'll make believe that it's greatest thing since the invention of breast implants.
By the way, I like my Xoom, I just will never by another Motorola product again, because Motorola's support of their work-in-progress Xoom has been incompetent bordering on negligent.
After releasing their incomplete Xoom 4 and a half months ago, to beat the iPad 2 to market, completing the Xoom should have been Motorola's first support priority.
To me, lack of actions speak louder than excuses.
It's over 4 months now, and all we have to show for our wait is nothing, nada, zilch!
And that's also describes the future relationship between me and Motorola....nothing, nada, zilch!

I'm also happy with my Xoom 3G.
I am pretty happy with the Xoom as well. I rooted mine minutes after buying and haven't looked back. I have SDCard support and can't recall ever really using it outside of flashing ROMS. I don't see what the big deal is about a SDCard when you have Google Music, Dropbox and Plex. 32GB of storage is more than enough for books, magazines, apps and games. I think when Moto does release the SDcard update, people will realize on a tablet with 32gb of storage, SDcards aren't really needed.
My only gripe is that Google and Moto have not done enough to get app developers on board with Honeycomb. Google has a great platform to build on. We need a bigger selection of Honeycomb apps. I don't think simply dropping the SDK and saying "Here you go guys", in a keynote is going to bring on the Android adoption. Google may want to start adding some financial incentive to some of the really talented iOS devs. Hardware alone won't sell these tablets. Great apps are what draw people from one device to the next.

I'm very happy with mine. It does everything I need it to do. It has offloaded a great deal of work from my work laptop. I now do personal travel only with my Xoom rather than carrying the laptop and all those peripherals.
I will be happier when I can use my SD cards. I will be happier when we go to 4G. However, I am not going to dis the Xoom or Motorola for my buying a product that many of you consider defective. I did my research and knew what I was getting.
I love my Xoom, nothing is wrong with it. However, Motorola really needs to get in gear. I understand early adopting, but promises shouldn't be broken, whether 4g lte is a necissary upgrade or not, after the 90 day promise we should have been greater not only with a reason for the failure, but also an expected timeframe. We are just left to sit and wonder. Its not even like i feel like sending my xoom in for a business week, but its something they used to advertise the tablet with, which means it should have just happened when it was suppose too. I dont know if it didnt because of 4g radio shortages or because motorola decided to put the time and effort into more money making products, and thats the problem i have, i dont know why i didnt get it. And about the SD card, I think we all know that won't be fixed till icecream sandwich, so whatever.

Me tooo...of all the android tabs out there as far as build quality goes xoom is on par with apple thing is bulletproof. Also that fact that moto hasnt released 100 different verisons of its tablet says a lot about the company Xoom is there main tablet focus until the new stuff comes out. Not like the other that have a 10 7 9 5 inch tablet. I think some folks complain to complain. No device is perfect but xoom is pretty damn close. Only thing missing are a few more local case choices.
